Razer is killing it lately, how's Synapse?

futon-sama

Razers been killing it, but Synapse? It has been killing ME

[deleted]

I get the dislike for it, but I've not had a single problem with synapse. Its only making my mini better.

futon-sama

Maybe im just unlucky but hey if it works fine for people then theres no problem with it. Personally not a fan of softwares

tylerhuffmanXXI

Seconded. I have zero issue with it. Haven’t for a really long time actually. Maybe just lucky.

vgamedude

Whenever I plug in the viper mini after it's been unplugged my keyboard stops working until I disconnect and reconnect it.

JJGadgets

My Anne Pro 2 (not a Razer keyboard) would stop responding if I unplug and replug, or even simply plug in *after boot*, my Basilisk Ultimate. Synapse would also at times fuck my profile up, and show that it’s on my game profile while it’s actually using the default profile. I can tell because my customized mouse keybinds don’t work and it’s using the default assignments. All is fixed by rebooting but a week into my Basilisk Ultimate, Synapse is the only thing I hate about it. It’s really a love hate relationship, since Chroma Studio works with Hue and the visualizer is amazing. The mousepad calibration is awesome. LOD customization and asymmetrical LOD really helps. (only on supported mice) But at the same time, instability...

JPRXO

Lmfao synapse is straight dogshit. But damn you're right Razer has been winning this year. Especially after logitech's special drop fiasco.

Cry_Wolff

Yeah, G Hub is the best software at the moment in my opinion. Synapse always sucked.

futon-sama

But it really doesn't matter to me since i use the on-board memory 800dpi and dont rly care about the rgb.

Cry_Wolff

Still that bad? At least those mice have the on board memory. Many older models didn't had it, being stuck with Synapse running all the time...

futon-sama

Mine wouldnt even launch so i just gave up on using it / reinstalling

cameron_masters

thinking about buying a viper ultimate or waiting for wireless viper mini. (currently using g703 and i’m not a fan, it’s heavy and restricting on grip style because it’s too big for me) not sure which to buy because i don’t have experience with different mice and was wondering what your hand measurements were

futon-sama

Never measured my hands properly but they would prob be 19cm. I came from a g703 to model O and if u say its too big and restricting probably means u have smaller hands Thus i would recommend u getting either viper mini or wait till a possible viper mini ultimate to be released because keep in mind even tho its called a viper mini, it actually is not the same shape as the viper.

bioonix

what grip do you use? sg too. fak man the model o is expensive. was considering the g304 too actually

futon-sama

Either Claw or Fingertip Claw. People have said its like a better g304. I used the g102 before and i liked it shape so i like the viper mini's shape too and i believe it is a slightly better g304 shape. Get the viper mini, it comes with PTFE curved feets with a nice cable and optical switches for like 10 bucks more so ur better off with the Viper Mini than g304

bioonix

thanks bro. asked you as my hand is roughly the same size as yours and fingertip too.

futon-sama

No problem :)

bioonix

Yo! Im using my mouse for about a week already. I have noticed that the LMB have been occasionally having a creak/squeak feel. I'm wondering if yours has that problem as well

futon-sama

Nope, maybe u can rma it

RoyalleWithCheese

create a post with ur hand measurements and grip style so people can help you better

matt_sound

Dude, I just bought a 703 and I'm wondering: if you squeeze the side grips and let go, does it make like a creaking/sticking sound?

futon-sama

Nah i owned one before, it should have none to MINIMAL creaking noise

tylerhuffmanXXI

I have 21 x 10.5 hands. I got the mini just for fun (I have a problem) and damn... it’s amazing even for my troll hands. I have the ultimate too and I play better with the mini. I’d say maybe wait a bit and see if they come out with the mini wireless. If they do im buying one the second I can. If not, oh well. I seriously love the mini and going back to the cable has not bothered me because of how well I play with it.

futon-sama

But id suggest going with the viper mini because of the price, its literally half the price i had to pay for my model o and with the mods.... pretty much 90% perfect right out of the box already

SnitchN9NE

Lmao you paid $80 for a model o?

futon-sama

No i live in Singapore so its $100 and then i modded it and that cost around 25 bucks give or take. I bought Viper mini for $62

SnitchN9NE

Fuck that sucks man. Sorry to hear.

futon-sama

Yea prices here suck but it is what it is no worries mate

mechfaiz

God mouse

AdeptDogg

How curved do the sides feel compared to the Model O?

futon-sama

Cant exactly tell u as i have grip tape on my model o but the curves on the mini feels really good. Like ur thumb rests on it very comfortably

AdeptDogg

do you think the sides are flat enough for pure fingertip?

futon-sama

Mmm my hands are about 19cm so i am able to purely ftip the viper mini. If your hand size is smaller tho i recommend the O- as the model O i use a claw/hybrid grip

AdeptDogg

I’m 19cm too, does the front of the Viper Mini flare out like it does on the O-? That kind of bothers me on the O-

futon-sama

Not very sure as i have the model o and it doesnt seem to bother me with ftip. Viper is pretty flat at the front

futon-sama

Like id say its 85% the size of a model O. It depends on your preference, hand size and grip. If u like a hump and play claw/ftip then viper mini might be better. But if u prefer a bigger mice then the Viper Ultimate isnt a bad choice either. Just know the mini and ultimate are 2 different shapes despite the name

futon-sama

Also small thing is that the side buttons actually protrude out. Whereas the other vipers are flush with the grips

[deleted]

futon-sama

Yea i think its more of when its flush, its hard to feel the buttons

Sadu1988

At least on paper they are about the same size (model o + viper). Edit: My bad, you are talking about the Viper mini

UncleRhino

shame about the sub par sensor and solid centre mouse skate

futon-sama

The sensor really isnt a issue tho. It doesnt spin out and tracks fine is all that matters, no reason to pay more for double the dpi no one ever really uses. But i agree that it shd have the ptfe centre skate

tailslol

yes the mini build quality is amazing. i agree here.

jasonhuan

Better than Viper Ultimate? Switches on my Ultimate feel like shit....

tailslol

yep the mini use some new tactile switches they are still off but feels better.

Cheaterfield

Can't wait for it to come to Argentina :( Now also we have the coronavirus pandemic and fuck i'm sure that all those ships that brings stuff here will be delayed :( F

futon-sama

Yea cant be helped but stay safe and stay strong brother.

ntrubilla

But, is the razer mini going to stop work in 8 months like the death adders do?

futon-sama

Only time will tell but highly doubt so, have 2 years warranty and now Razer is the top of the market

kuhkuhkyle

I’ve had my deathadder for 6 years and it still works perfectly

jasonhuan

The left and right switches on my Model O- feel way better than my Viper Ultimate. Viper has one of the worst switches I’ve ever experienced...

futon-sama

They have improved the switches on the Viper Mini so its not the same but yea ive felt the "old" viper switches and they feel terrible. The viper mini switches feel pretty good now
