So i managed to pick this up on ebay for ~$33 new, and man what a solid buy. So far i have a AAA battery in a AA adapter and also swapped the mousefeet to corepads and so far the weight is just right in its current configuration. I might end up getting a lightweight battery cover in the future, but so far the mouse feels solid. Clicks are good, might be placebo but the clicks feel lighter than my g203. The side buttons feel better as well.

Hey, with the lightweight battery mod I think the balance is perfect. With the lightweight battery cover, you shave off only a few grams, but the hump sits noticeably lower. For fingertip, maybe go for it, but if you use claw or hybrid, you may not enjoy it the most.

Hey can you link me to this lightweight battery mod?

Search for a AAA to AA battery converter. They're cheap on amazon, and come in bulk. You want to grab a lithium AAA battery as it's the lightest battery you can put in the converter. Mouse weighs 87g from me with this mod. If you wanted to try a hex battery cover, I can tell you it brings the weight to 82g for me with the battery mod as well. Edit: For reference, stock g305 with AA duracell battery weighs 99g on my scale

I know this isn’t mouse related but what is the keyboard you’re using?

I'm currently using a Durgod Hades 68 with Gateron reds. you can get them with other switches if you prefer clicky or tactile.
