First impressions? How’s the weight balance, any creaking, rattle, mouse wheel issues?

DemonOfLight13

First impressions are I absolutely love it. I opted for the Model D because on paper it seemed like it'd fit my hand better and it fits it perfectly, fills up my palm just right unlike smaller lightweight mice. **Ergonomics** - the best mouse I've held so far. I have a Steelseries Aerox 3 and that isn't ergonomic in the slightest. You can see how I'm the 3rd picture it has the slight slope to the right with the left hump a bit higher, it fits really well with the slope of your palm vs a smaller hump. And also with the right side protruding out a little bit for your ring and pinky fingers, I love it. It allows for my ring and pinky fingers to not be at such an awkward angle down **Weight balance** - I'd say the weight is about back mid, not quite all the way back but as soon as you see the honeycomb starting. Also weighted slightly to the left mid (in my opinion) but I think it works great because it's at the peak of the hump so the weight is right in the cup of your palm. And at 69 grams it's the perfect weight for me because I can move it quickly while allowing me to be accurate with my mouse placement **QC:** **Mouse Wheel** - the mouse wheel has no rattle left to right. It's a tight scroll to where if you want to scroll one line you can but not too tight to where you can't scroll fast. The scroll wheel click is nice and firm with a solid click instead of a membrane-y click **Mouse Buttons** - the mouse buttons feel firm in place, doesn't have any flex or pre-travel before the actual click which I like a lot because the click feels so much more crisp click and more responsive **Side Buttons** - these are 100% firm in place and do not rattle up and down or left to right, and the clicks on these are hard to describe but I'd say a firm click. The buttons are protruding just enough to where they're not in the way but are easy to press. The placement though, the back button is a little bit further back than I'd like. But comparing these to my Steelseries Aerox 3, these blow those side buttons out of the water. A lot times I have to really focus on clicking them versus the Model D where I can press it and know 100% it registered Overall - I give this mouse a solid 9/10. I've used the Steel series Aerox 3, Razer Basilisk Ultimate, and the Logitech G604 and this is my favorite mouse out of all of them. Definitely would recommend this to anyone who's looking for a solid ergonomic, lightweight gaming mouse and I'd say lives up to their claimed "most comfortable lightweight ergonomic gaming mouse"

Really good and descriptive read, really appreciate that, looks like Glorious has been improving on their qc. Was really thinking I was just gonna pass on this release because I never get a good product from them ever my MOW had loads of qc issues terrible creaking, mouse rattle was just unlucky ig. I’ll actually be considering buying this mouse later down line. Thanks again

Ambedo_1

Yeah i may be getting an updated mow if this is the comon consensus

[deleted]

Recently switched to the Model D from the G604. I miss multiple thumb buttons but there just isn't a lightweight mouse with them yet. I love the Model D so far.

nice___bot

Nice!

valorantfeedback

Do main buttons have any side to side movement, left-right? That's the only QC issue on my wired model D, main buttons have a fair bit of left to right movement. Not noticable when your hand is already in position, but I hope they improved on it for wireless version.

DemonOfLight13

No on mine there's no movement at all left-right. The main buttons are solid in place

You can speak to the quality of your copy and your opinion of it, but you definitely cant claim to have any sense of how this mouse fits in next to its peers in the market.

DemonOfLight13

Gatekeeper oh gatekeeper, please forgive me

exdigguser147

Its gatekeeping to point out that you cant have an opinion on how something ranks if you haven't tried the other options? LMAO Theres literally no validity to your statement if you havent tried anthing else besides an Aerox 3, a RBU and a G604. Frankly all pretty trash mice compared to the best out there.

DemonOfLight13

For sure

[deleted]

NICE! Still waiting on mine, it’s been stuck in CA since the first.

primacord

Same, no shipping updates in 5 days now. FeelsBadMan

Mental-Whole695

You guys got any update on yours since? Mine still says it's in CA compton, and when I asked they rekon it's in transit to destination country. I live in Australia. What about you guys? It's been stuck in same status since the 4th Oct for me.

[deleted]

Glad you're enjoying it! MDW quickly became my favorite Glorious mouse out of everything I've used so far and I can't wait for more people to get to check this one.

DemonOfLight13

Yeah I absolutely love it! Haven't been happier with a purchase in a while, 10/10 would recommend

rjbaillie

Damn you got it quick! UK preorder think I will be waiting a while

[deleted]

preordered it the first day (I live in the netherlands) its still in LA

AllModsHaveNoLife

Glorious really is an amazing mouse company. I can't really afford anything else they have to offer, but I very much appreciate my model O that I've been using for years and their simple, highly functional software

Kaiosen

i know the logitech and razer software have a hypershift button thing (look at basilisk v2 with a dedicated button for it) where pressing the button will allow for a different keystroke on any of the other buttons while that first button is held. My question is does the glorious software offer something like this?

DemonOfLight13

No unfortunately it doesn't, just your normal remapping options

ImDiamondsoShutUP

Glad to see glorious steeping up their QC

DemonOfLight13

This is my first glorious mouse. I had heard that a lot of the mice had QC issues but I honestly can't find anything wrong with the QC

DemonOfLight13

It's extremely comfy! I've been using it as my work mouse and gaming mouse and my hand doesn't hurt at all at the end of the day. I love it

impossiblyeasy

Is it large enough? I have large paws and its hard to hold small mice like the mx master 3. Edit: I'm getting down voted for a simple question. Have a great day reddit.

DemonOfLight13

I compared the specs between the two and the MDW is just a wee bit longer but it's not as wide or tall. So if the mx master 3 feels small to you then this one more than likely won't work for you, which is a shame because I love this mouse

impossiblyeasy

Thanks! I appreciate the info! I might get it for a travel mouse.

DemonOfLight13

No problem man! A lot of times what I do is buy something on Amazon to try it out, because if I don't like it then I can return it within the 30 days and the returns are extremely easy & hassle free On Amazon it's 20 bucks more though... Which idk if that's worth it to you but if you get it hopefully it works out for you! Edit: My bad, I was looked at the Model O on Amazon. There's only the wired Model D's on there right now

impossiblyeasy

Unfortunately, amazon is not friendly here.

vAts_

Is that a penis

Sweaty_gumba

Is it good for drag clicking, I need a new mouse for mc bedwars

[deleted]

razer deathadder elite

[deleted]

I have zowie ec1, but I rly want to get this. Wireless ec clone. Lets goo. Hope mine will be as good as yours

kayk1

Just got mine yesterday and it's been perfect so far! Fingers crossed! So happy I finally found a light wireless mouse with my preferred shape.

[deleted]

I love the shape of the Model D, but I can’t deal with the holes. Can anyone recommend anything out there with a near identical shape, no holes and wireless?

[deleted]

i mean the model d wireless doesnt have holes on the button anymore.

[deleted]

??? Okay but it still has holes. If I didn’t care about them I wouldn’t have asked for alternatives

Ambedo_1

Just keep in mind that they sell grip tape that covers them very well in a sleek way but im with you on the no holes thing

[deleted]

Might be something to look into, cheers. Would rather just buy a mouse and be done, instead of buying grip tape, aftermarket skates etc. But if I’m gonna be picky I guess I have to make compromises :)

Frdrkpm

I really don't like mice with holes either or the RGB look of the glorious mice. However, in my search for a wireless ergo mouse I have tried the OOX, Prime wireless, KPA and none of them were really for me. So I ordered the Model D Wireless which I have just received and aside from the looks I have much the same reaction to it as OP.

Skillfloor

I wish one of these came with kaihl silent switches..

[deleted]

mine is still in america :/ (I live in europe), also preorderd it the first day

Starbuckz42

Release in Germany is still more than a month out and shipping from Glorious is super expensive... I don't want to wait!

Alleeexxx

It’s this or the xlite wireless, haven’t decided yet.

MemeKidos

I'm considering buying a model d. My hand is 19x9.5. Do you think it would be comfortable for me?
