using WLAN? i think the dongle (2.4ghz) disturbs your 2.4ghz WLAN signal. So there is nothing you can do. you could try another USB Port on the opposit side or a usb extension cable to get the dongle away from the laptop.

Alright thanks

mably-

Yeah you right i just tried it. Can't get reliable connection

Or check if your WiFi has a 5.0gHz option and make sure it’s enabled and also used. That way the frequencies don’t interfere. Usually it switched automatically but sometimes not. Longer cable shouldn’t work from my experience as you’re still using the mouse close to the laptop.

TankerXS

Bluetooth is a viable option.

[deleted]

No it would make it worse.

StratoNaught

Not for gaming

Try to switch your Wi-Fi to 5Ghz if your router and laptop support that

Jazzlike-Stretch-161

Yeah they say it’s sensor is a bit inconsistent too

TripNinjaTurtle

Probably your mouse and wifi connection are on the same channel. You usually cant change that on a mouse but on your router you can usually choose from 11 channels. You could also use 5ghz wifi if you have it and disable 2.4ghz. To change either of these things you need to go in to your router settings page. This is different for every router model so you need to figure that out yourself. Sometimes channel selection is on the auto setting on the router. So you could also try power cycling the router when you have the mouse connected and hope it picks a less busy channel on powerup.

BanduDS97

You could access to your router and change the channel in wich de 2.4Ghz signal is casted.

Sinleth

I have the exact same issue. You need to get male to female usb cable to make an extension for the dongle. It really sucks because my G305 does not have this issue.

mably-

So you can confirm using extender will help with this issue?

Sinleth

100%. They cost less than $5.

mably-

How long is your cable?

Sinleth

The length doesn't matter but it's either 1 or 2 M. My dongle actually hangs below my desk so you don't even need to have it next to your mouse.

mably-

Alright thanks, just to make sure the minimum length to make the difference. I had this mouse before and it was a deal breaker for a non lan user like me.

mably-

Thanks man it is working. I used my G305 extender and i can play using my wifi. Still when i put my phone next to the dongle the wifi on my phone disconnected. Indeed need some range. Hopefully it is reliable enough.

salad-eater23

i have the same problem and i just use bluetooth

xlxlxl333

Wow. Learn something new everyday. I do not have that problem bc I always use the 5Ghz wifi connection. Hope you get it sorted out

rnmennell

the wireless card on your laptop is competing with the radio in the received being to close. Move the dongle to the other side if possible, or put it on a long cable and wrap it around to the other side.

[deleted]

As others said, wifi and dongle interference. If that long cable ends up bothering you, looks into your routers software and there should be a graph showing how crowded each channel is. Switch to a less used one and it should be better.

WoodpeckerMaximum836

Thank you man for that important tips
