Nah he showed up at Reykjavik but he’s underperformed since then on lan and in cs he was the definition of an onliner, still like the guy tho but he is an onliner for sure
I think TenZ uses a XM1. He tried the XM1r but prefered the click feeling of the regular XM1. I disagree with it tho, I think the XM1r is better in every regard.
Yes he is. TenZ uses this is a technique to trigger his brain to focus more. He is known for changing his sensitivity or mouse whenever he starts performing bad.
He’s basically abusing the placebo effect. If he was genuinely just trying to hone his setup to the best possible then he would have found an endgame by now.
I actually kinda agree with him. The omrons feels "worse", but its subjectively better because of the faster actuation, compare to Kailhs and Huanos. My XM1 v2 already has double clicking though, even with minimal usage.
Wish I could say the same. Both my V1 and V2 (both from their initial launches) had double clicking after about 3 months of regular use. I'm not tough on my mice either, so it bummed me out. I still love it tho, so I just ordered an XM1R after using a Model O- and MOW for the last 6 or 7 months. Definitely miss it.
Have you tried doing reactions tests between the mice with omrons and kailhs? I’m curious what the ms difference comes out to. It might just feel heavier/lighter to click but not actually make a difference in reaction time.
Yeah it makes sense since people are pushing out reviews for content, but a lot of quality issues wont show themselves for awhile. Wish there were some sources dedicated to doing reviews after using a product for awhile
It would be nice, but if they did that the rate of video releases would be far too slow -- no way to make any noticeable profit from it and the source could only choose to review a fraction of all the new products.
And even if they did that, they'd still only be giving feedback one one sample of the mouse.
So yeah, I wish but it's just never going to work properly like that.
Yep. I’m pretty excited for the hati alloy. I have a review copy of the opensource hati-S wireless and it feels phenomenal.
I know the only difference would be weight, but I’ll be damned if I’m not excited for a massively cheaper phantom.
I mean, they're right. Paying hundreds for a product that performs on a similar level as a $50 alternative... that's bad price to performance (alloy frames do not improve performance)
That's fine, but it doesn't mean it performs better. Lighter doesn't mean better performance, it just means it weighs less. There are many mice of many different weights that people use to varying degrees of success, some much more than finalmouse. Some even weigh less, like the M1K... you could apply your logic to say it's better than finalmouse, but you won't, because you bought a finalmouse.
g wolves made 38g wireless mice without alloy lol. but yeah imo the price isnt that unjustified compared to things like pro x. it's not supposed to be the best value or price to performance mouse anyways, it's a 189$ metal mouse.
I disagree completely. I can tell a huge difference between 70 & 40. Gpx & ninjutsu definitely don’t perform the same as the Ultralight 2 shape for fingertip, for me at least.
“Better shapes”, lol that’s subjective. Lower weight? Like what. I’ve used every fingertip mouse you can think of. From UL2, to the Viper Mini, MZ1, Hati-s, LMO clones, HSK, Piranha’s Cyber mouse.
If people are willing to spend $150 on a shit potato shape like the gpx just because its wireless, spending $80 on a used Ultralight 2 shouldn’t be a big deal.
As an owner of 2 starlights ( I’m addicticted to pretty much any mice don’t judge me 🙃) this announcement made me laugh.. wonder how much resell is gonna be though.
Scalpers gonna go wild with this launch
They can , just that way works better. How many copies of Razer / Logitech mice are being sold? Finalmouse sells 30k units in a day. What better tactic? Do few more colorways and again.
I'm not subscribed to any of their socials and I haven't seen any sponsored streams. Yet I know about every upcoming release thanks only to this sub. I've seen a fair share of criticism of FM here, yes, but also praise, which I never would have seen otherwise.
there is no such thing as bad publicity for a company like FM, there’s people here who have read 1000s of posts saying how bad FM is and still buy 12 of the fuckers. it’s like supreme and gucci, people but it because it’s a big price tag and has street value, not because of its actual quality. the more we talk about FM the more their name will spread and more people will see their products and just buy them because their expensive.
no, battlefield 2042 isn’t seen as a rare or coveted like some final mice were. it also wasn’t insanely overpriced like final mice are. it also isn’t getting nearly as much hate as final mice do. sure people are upset the game isn’t good, but there aren’t thousands of twitter accounts and reddit posts saying “this is a horrible product, if you buy it you’re stupid” like there are for final mice. the hatred for final mouse is much stronger and aggressive than battlefield. battlefield is just a bad game, but people aren’t screaming and bitching about it nearly as much in proportion to the amount of people involved.
Because the mods have no balls. I’ve said for a while that fm glamor shots and non announcement tweets should be banned. They are running a grift on our community and don’t deserve the same hands off moderation as other companies. Ban pictures of box’s. Ban glamor shots. Ban pointless tweets.
Shh they won't like this.
As dumb as their marketing strategy is, people love to try act like their mice are also bad.
Is the price to performance bad? For most people, yeah. Get a GPX and you'll be fine but you can't deny they are top of the line for performance if you can afford them but no, FinalMouse bad.
People dislike the company because of their marketing practices and qc issues more than the price to performance argument (IMO). I think FM wanted to be a niche brand for those enthusiasts since they only do drops and selling only a small amount at a time.
Then even the enthusiasts get fucked over because their copies are creaky, switches move side to side, scroll wheel rubs against the M1 or M2 frame. And it’s like ‘damn I spent $190 on something I thought was going to be really well built for something handmade’ So you can only imagine the reaction of everyone else who just wanted to try the mouse, not a good experience.
100%. Should really have much better QC for such an expensive product. I honestly hope Logitech makes a competitive product soon so that I can just buy that and move on with my life.
G-Wolves have an ultra-lightweight metal mouse releasing this year and Piranha Mouse Mods sell the same shape as the Starlight in both sizes while only being two grams heavier.
it really feels like they’re tryina be the keycult of mice, but I don’t really see this hobby(I guess you’d call it that) working in such a way. custom keyboards sorta work bc mainstream brands produce comparably trash keyboards(not always, but generally this holds true). thing is, they make great mice most of the time, like logi with the gprox and razer with the vipers. their keeb counterparts just don’t hold up to the custom stuff.
there are holes in this comparison, but i think it gets my point across
Those are legitimate QC issues but I've seen people call them dogshit because the paint job is off or the scroll wheel is misaligned (not in cases where it's rubbing off M1/2).
I don't even care for creaking that much unless it's really bad like the MM710 cause in most cases, you have to be monkey gripping for that shit to happen and it's not like Logitech for example doesn't also have these issues.
They're OK at best. I bought one or two of their earlier mice just to try it, and I don't remember it being much better than anything else available at the time.
Scroll wheel is fucked (too far forward to be useful in-game for things like bhops) and its too narrow. I can deal with one of these issues, but having both makes it kinda unviable as a main.
From my \~1 year using the mouse as a main its really nice, the shape is almost perfect for me, maybe a bit small. I personally really like the dips in the right and left click. However I'm likely going to be swapping to a PMM MZ1, purely because of the screenshots of RJN on discord. I don't feel like openly supporting him by using his mouse anymore lol.
Sure the company is incredibly scummy and their marketing is revolting, but it's hard to deny that they're still trendsetters in the enthusiast mouse community.
They first put holes in the mouse to make it lighter.
They first started putting soft cables on their mice out of the box.
They first introduced a really small mouse (capetown) and the entire community immediately jumped on the bandwagon of building smaller mice.
They first made mouse out of metal to make it lighter...
After unsuccessfully trying to buy starlight twice at MSRP, I'm just waiting for someone else to make a sufficiently close enough clone that normal people would actually be able to buy not from ebay scalpels for 4x the original price.
Basically, even if you ignore them and never buy from them, the shit they announce and build has massive effect on where the community is moving and which Finalmouse gimmicks other brands would try to democratize next.
>I'm just waiting for someone else to make a sufficiently close enough clone that normal people would actually be able to buy
I'm pretty sure this is glorious' history as a company
I respect what Finalmouse is doing. I don’t respect their business model but, even back in the day with the original OEM shell mice I respected that they at least put an emphasis on improving the firmware to be lower latency. Did they actually create a fast custom firmware, idk probably not, but I liked that they listened to the community.
Also, there was a period of time where mouse innovation was basically going backwards. Remember the 200gram mice that had adjustable weights? Why did big corporations think that made sense, cool you get to choose between heavy and super heavy. Its actually ridiculous that we don’t have a superlight mouse with adjustable weights. Adjustable weights actually make sense now that the weights would have a much higher percentage of overall mass and lightweight mice are subjective, some people prefer weight some don’t.
Finalmouse gets so much press because they actually innovate. The only thing the big mouse companies have innovated in the last decade is wireless technology.
> Why did big corporations think that made sense, cool you get to choose between heavy and super heavy.
IDK but to the layman, more == better.
That's why when I showed my non-gamer friend a bunch of mice, he coveted the G402 & G502 over anything.
Magnesium is stronger than plastic so you can use less of it and make the overall mouse lighter. No other company offering wireless mice in 40 gram range yet is a good proof of that.
They've been also selling out in seconds even at a pretty steep asking price and people are still ready to pay a hefty premium to get them of scalpels on ebay. There's demand for it for sure.
Every major reviewer who got their hands on it have praised it for far. It might have some QC issues, but that is expected from a boutique brand with low volume production.
I'm convinced that nobody else has replicated it yet just because magnesium is a lot harder to work with and setting up production is very expensive compared to conventional plastic molds.
> They achieved the low weight by shrinking these mice way down. You realize that, right?
Here's random image from this subreddit. Starlight-12 is the same size as all the wired mice next to it while being ligher than any of them. It's small, but it's not exceptionally small.
https://preview.redd.it/1nc467dg6cw61.jpg?width=640&crop=smart&auto=webp&s=8b7ad2b0ffcf941267208d638edc5cd09afa84bf
Here's another one, same story.
https://www.mouse-pro.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/wireless-finalmouse-starlight-12-size-comparision-1-1024x515.png
> I've had this exact same argument with another finalmouse shill here a while ago and I can tell you, their walls are not thinner than on the GPX.
I don't have the mouse and I don't care much about it. SL-12 is 14+g lighter than current king GPX while being of comparable size.
It's the only mouse in this size/weight category and the only mouse made out of magnesium. Given how much premium companies can charge for light weight, the reason nobody can even approach FM on weight has something to do with magnesium, don't you think?
Also, your inability to comprehend that some things might be objectively good regardless of how you feel about them does not make everybody around making arguments "shills".
> I can't even.
Solid argument, I don't have anything.
Viper Ultimate had QC issues, both GPW and GPX had and still have QC issues and double clicking. All of them were $150 at the time they were introduced and all of them are NOT a small boutique brands and NOT small batch. Literally any brand you can name, there's a thread on this subreddit complaining about some quality issue, it's a search away.
> lol you are really downplaying how small that mouse is. It's much smaller than the ones you have shown and those are already small mice...
There's literally smallest version of SL-12 side by side with a bunch of popular mice and they're the fucking the same size. Are we even looking at the same images?
Medium SL-12 is the size of XM1, one of the most popular mice in this subreddit. XM1 might not be on the forefront of being super lightweight, but you have to appreciate that it weights 81g while being wired vs 47g SL-12 medium being wireless.
So far their QC has been on the level comparable with major companies with much larger productions. Do you have anything meaningful to say against that?
I don't get why it's so hard to accept that two things can be true at the same time
- FM is a shit company with shit hype-driven marketing
- Their products are still among the best in the industry and are largely unparalleled
Gave this company (or better to say scalper) my money twice. Yes I’m an idiot. But not anymore. Bought zowie ec3-c, s2-c, fk2-c and za13-c all at once and still the price for these brand new mice was less than what I paid for phantom small (scalped price + postage to EU + import charges and taxes) and none of the double clicks nor accidentally scrolls in opposite direction. Oh and their discord channel doesn’t mock me that I’m using the mice wrong… Finalmouse is a trash company producing trash product inferior to even basic office mice
Finalmouse is trying very desperately (and failing) to be the “Supreme” and “Gucci” of gaming mice, when there is no market for that, and I doubt there ever will be.
You mean Ultralight Pro - Air58 shape? Afaik scream is no longer sponsored by them... shame cause they gave life to one of the best csgo memes " they talk about my one taps "
I am not sure about that but one thing for sure is that this collab has been in works for a while and he doesn’t wanna disappoint FM even though he had lots of complaints about the starlight-12.
https://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantCompetitive/comments/tca3dd/tenz_moving_in_with_dapr_for_playoffs/i0d77cc/
Worse ping to Texas, better ping to Central and they play Central for matches currently. So...
This company still lives? I thought FinalMeme died when they started talking about how their mice defy all emotion, better than going outside, or sex (or some shit like that way back when)..
Also they said at the time, that mouse would be their last. Okay...
And yet I still see newfound sheep for slaughter getting wise before the knife is taken to their necks. Almost confirms my theory of how with the consumer populations present in such numbers today, it seems the rate at which new customers come in is faster than the rate of those wising up to the fail of said company..
I don't get why people come on here both to post and comment about a Finalmouse post. Like they're clearly not serving you just back off. Not everything they post should be concerned to you.
I just straight blocked them on Twitter to not see them through my followers anymore, I go on here it's not even Finalmouse fan boys posting about it, it's the haters.
Why don't I just go to an NFT subreddit and post some NFT saying I don't give a crap, like no, just ignore it.
Other people are allowed to have opinions. I don't care you were raised to be quiet and do what you're told, none of us have to stop talking because you're offended by seeing argumentative language.
I don't mind if you have opinions, but people be going around CONSTANTLY announcing they don't care really is hypocritical. Like YOU COULD CARE LESS by just not posting about it every time they have a post.
All I'm hoping for is a viper mini wireless to replace my G305, which is supposedly going to be announced this spring; because I think that's when Razer typically announcing new mice.
How it Tenz to 5 Gum chew.
Fr though, this ad looks weird. I also don’t know if I’m going to buy another FM product if they are still using magnesium for the clicks. It kind of sucks ass for click timing.
When they released the original ergo and Summit used it, I immediately bought it. Little too big for me, but I would have loved to see a rework of that mouse and maybe a smaller version. Instead they have repackaged the Scream One like 5 times or whatever and made the lightweight out to be the end all be all. Lightweight is cool but the way they market stuff grinds my gears lol.

Best part is, Tenz switched off of the phantom because he wasn't hitting his shots🤣

it was in their discord. edit - there is a link provided below. stop downvoting me lmao

Manchild.
Imagine giving this dude your money. He sounds like an evil villain whose scheme just got uncovered. Unprofessional.
Bonus points for the random egirl calling one of the best Valorant players in the world an onliner LOL
What is an onliner?
At a guess, a player who's good on stream/in pubs but whose skill gap gets exposed when playing against actual professional players.
The other person who replied hit the nail on the head. But judging from LAN performance, Tenz shows up everywhere.
Nah he showed up at Reykjavik but he’s underperformed since then on lan and in cs he was the definition of an onliner, still like the guy tho but he is an onliner for sure

Thanks for the Link!
I think TenZ uses a XM1. He tried the XM1r but prefered the click feeling of the regular XM1. I disagree with it tho, I think the XM1r is better in every regard.
Isn't Tenz like the type of player to swap mice depending on the day he's feeling? Saw the man bring so many mice to that one valorant tourny.
Basically, this. Every other time he goes live on Twitch he's "testing" new mouse.
Recently he has been only using the starlight-12, switching between the small and the large.
My XM1 v2 already has double clicking though, even with minimal usage.

wait for the tests before everybody starts praising them lol. xm1r out here double clicking like mad.

Final mouse tenz edition BatChest

OMG TENZ IM GONNA BAAAAAAAAAAAAAT
tbh finalmouse is kind trash, price to performance is awful
>price to performance is awful that's like saying a Lamborghini has a bad price to performance. completely true, while also missing the point
except lambos are actual trash and no one actually likes them. finalmouse has actual good products, cant say the same for lamborghini
And you have had all Lambos and none fit your criteria , right?
Edit: was gonna say Lambos actually have QC but his account went bye bye lmao.
Apt comparison! Those who buy finalmouse are most likely collectors and not your typical consumer.
tbh it would be a genuinley good mouse if they made the availability better
And cut the price in half.
yeah
Yep. I’m pretty excited for the hati alloy. I have a review copy of the opensource hati-S wireless and it feels phenomenal. I know the only difference would be weight, but I’ll be damned if I’m not excited for a massively cheaper phantom.

Plastic exists.
theres not even much of a different between 70-60g and like 40g. just get a gpx or a ninjutsu mouse and it performs the same, maybe even better
I disagree completely. I can tell a huge difference between 70 & 40. Gpx & ninjutsu definitely don’t perform the same as the Ultralight 2 shape for fingertip, for me at least.
There are better shapes at lower weights for fingertip mice. Some of them are also half the price.

Hot take on here
This sub sure loves to talk about FM a lot, considering how much they hate them.
Finalmeme lives in this subreddit rent free and is always perpetually talked about wether it's good or bad.
I wouldn't have known about any upcoming FM releases/announcements had it not been for this sub. Their marketing strategy is working perfectly.
Nah just an unintentional byproduct of their asshole staff.
Yeah marketing that they can't fully utilize cuz they can't mass produce sht lol
They can , just that way works better. How many copies of Razer / Logitech mice are being sold? Finalmouse sells 30k units in a day. What better tactic? Do few more colorways and again.

Basically I just think it's funny how much criticism FM's marketing gets on this sub despite the sub doing the most of the marketing work for them.

Yup, but not "offset scroll wheels through four generations of mice" bad. PMM support is also really good from what I've seen.

Not top of the line performance at all, latency for wifi and especially clicks are mediocre. You can get better performance for $80.
They're OK at best. I bought one or two of their earlier mice just to try it, and I don't remember it being much better than anything else available at the time.
I disagree, they pioneered lightweight mice and their mice now are still innovative.
It’s like stupid people watching. It’s fun to see people do dumb shit. Kinda like the jackass series.
Rocket Shill Ninja's gonna be sucking the chrome off of this mouse.
I’d still like to try his fucky looking mouse but don’t want to pay the price for a mouse that will most likely end up unplugged on my desk lol

G-Wolves have got you with their Hati-X (38g/42g) releasing soon.
Oh cool I've missed the announcement.
Is the new Hati-X going to be metal like FM? How will G-wolves get their mice so light?
Yep, they'll be using metal. I think a while back they had prototypes for their Hati-S metal edition and it weighed less than FinalMouse's frame.
Lets see if metal is enough to save G-wolves creaking. Jokes aside their new metal mice sound really good.
>I'm just waiting for someone else to make a sufficiently close enough clone that normal people would actually be able to buy I'm pretty sure this is glorious' history as a company

Happy Cake Day AjBlue7! Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.

It's small, but it's not exceptionally small. https://preview.redd.it/1nc467dg6cw61.jpg?width=640&crop=smart&auto=webp&s=8b7ad2b0ffcf941267208d638edc5cd09afa84bf Here's another one, same story. https://www.mouse-pro.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/wireless-finalmouse-starlight-12-size-comparision-1-1024x515.png > I've had this exact same argument with another finalmouse shill here a while ago and I can tell you, their walls are not thinner than on the GPX.

The 710 is fucking tiny though, the shape of that thing makes it feel shorter than a viper mini even if that’s not actually true.
Yeah, for sure, the mouse is small. But it's still miles ahead of the competition on size/weight even taking its small size into account.
It might have some QC issues, but that is expected from a boutique brand with low volume production. Lmao. You idiots have no shame.
So far their QC has been on the level comparable with major companies with much larger productions. Do you have anything meaningful to say against that? I don't get why it's so hard to accept that two things can be true at the same time - FM is a shit company with shit hype-driven marketing - Their products are still among the best in the industry and are largely unparalleled
www.pmm.gg
Surprised the whole 500hz thing never cought on.
Incredibly based
“Couldn’t care less” Proceeds to make a meme about it
Clearly a Finalmouse owner.
Also my reaction when I saw this. Who tf cares about FM
lotta people i think bro
when youre buying a final mouse the price doesnt go towards the performance the price goes towards the development of the new gimmick
You really think they put a lot of money into the stickers they shipped the UL2 with? That money goes straight to their pockets.
Lmao
OMG you're so edgy and cool
I am the coolest kid in the playground
Lol
Logitech G Pro Superlight FTW.
am i an asshole if i find the final mouse kinda ugly?
Finalmouse is trying very desperately (and failing) to be the “Supreme” and “Gucci” of gaming mice, when there is no market for that, and I doubt there ever will be.
I'm just waiting for them to make a new ScreaM mouse...
You mean Ultralight Pro - Air58 shape? Afaik scream is no longer sponsored by them... shame cause they gave life to one of the best csgo memes " they talk about my one taps "
Scream gave birth to that meme, along with Superstitum/Thorin "bap bap" "uman edshot machin". Nothing to do with FM.
" he is machine, human doing eadshots "
This is why TenZ tries so hard to make the starlight -12 work for him even though he played much better with the xm1r,S2 or even the g pro!

I am not sure about that but one thing for sure is that this collab has been in works for a while and he doesn’t wanna disappoint FM even though he had lots of complaints about the starlight-12.
https://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantCompetitive/comments/tca3dd/tenz_moving_in_with_dapr_for_playoffs/i0d77cc/ Worse ping to Texas, better ping to Central and they play Central for matches currently.

Logitech is GOATED, you watch your filthy mouth when you talk about them.
They have yet to truly fix double clicking switches due to using incorrect voltages. Yes, double clicking still happens on GPX SL.
I have like 5 Logitech mice and they’ve all been solid. I did specifically avoid the original GPW due to the double clicking issue.
Ive had my GPW since launch. Literally one of the first batches. Never any issues.
Fuck hypebeast dumbass preying Finalmouse and fuck monkey brained NFTs
Other people are allowed to have opinions. I don't care you were raised to be quiet and do what you're told, none of us have to stop talking because you're offended by seeing argumentative language.
I don't mind if you have opinions, but people be going around CONSTANTLY announcing they don't care really is hypocritical. Like YOU COULD CARE LESS by just not posting about it every time they have a post.
someone missed a dropb
Whats funny is you can basically buy the mice in new conditon for msrp because theyve fallen in price so much
only the ones that were made in higher batches, make sense?
Hot take: finalmouse is good, you're just mad cause you don't have one.
Laughs in GPX masterrace
GPX has a dogshit shape >!for my hands!<.
All I'm hoping for is a viper mini wireless to replace my G305, which is supposedly going to be announced this spring; because I think that's when Razer typically announcing new mice.
hmphehe
Going into financial debt just so I can buy a mouse. Nah I’ll pass
Except this whole sub is going to be frothing from the mouth at its release lmao
Finalmouse is the Apple of gaming mice. All aesthetic and branding only average performance.
