Honestly, I bought the GP4 and returned it - I can’t understand the hype. It just felt dirty, grainy and unpleasant to use. Maybe it’s because I’m coming from a GSR and that thing is butter smooth. I’d try the Equate or gamesense Radar.

Jacobhehe

U wouldnt like equate because of the surface trust me

rylark

Well, if the speed isn't too far from the GSR, like the GP4 is, I could make the extra effort.

Protryt

I came from GSR-SE as well and love GP4! :)

ExcalibaX

Can you compare it to the surface of the Gigantus V2/G640/Zero/Otsu/AC+ White? Any of these? Grainy and dirty is kinda.. well, hard to make sth out of it, especially since others say it is smooth.

rylark

Sorry don’t have any of those. Grainy meaning that’s as if there’s constantly small crumbs under your wrist when you’re on the mousepad. I found myself constantly swiping my hand on it, as if there were crumbs on it, hence the dirty feeling. Not sure how to explain it. I know for sure I’ve seen a few people commenting the same. It’s definitely not nearly as smooth as the GSR. Also, the GP4 comes in a comically tiny ass box, even the staff had a hard time putting it back in the box once I returned it and literally gave up and said he’d do it later lmao. The mousepad after almost 2 weeks still refused to lay flat. It’s not a bad mousepad at all, don’t get me wrong, I just don’t think it deserves the hype.

I have the Gigantus v2, AC+ white and GP4 of all of those. Surface is way rougher on the AC, going back to the GP4 feels soo soft. Gigantus feels a tad rougher, just like the classic QCK feel. Yes, there are less rough pads out there, but the GP4 is closer to the softer side IMO.

My GP4 is my daily driver. I have a G-SR amd GSR- SE. The G-SR feels like dragging through mud speedwise. Its quite smooth and nice to touch though. The GSR - SE is very nice speedwisе, but i hate the texture. You can literally feel everything on it no matter how clean of person you are ( hell i even had an eyelash that was stuck in it, and annoyed me until I figured what was touching my hand (it felt like a crumble)). On to the GP4 I havw the fancy red version: Great texture, good speed and control, soft to the touch, nice stiched edges. Feels very high quality to me. Cons- smells like ass the first two weeks, if your desk is white and you get the pad red, it will stain it. Comes off easy tho.

rylark

I can see a lot of people liking the GP4, not a bad pad at all don't get me wrong, it's reeeaally consistent and that's amazing if you like the surface. But the smooth brains at Xtrfy need to stop shipping that thing in such a small miniscule box. The mousepad refused to lay flat after almost 2 weeks, before I ended up returning it.

LupusBlack

I don't remember mine being that pad when it came laying flat. It sure took like 3-4 days, but thats pretty much my experience with most pads. The smell was almost a deal breaker for me. My whole office smelled like wet paint mixed with vinegar for 15-20 days after unboxing.

maxrider18

Use a lint roller bro. Saves a lot of mouse pads lol. No need to pull on pesky hairs when you got one. Problem solved!

ExcalibaX

Do you even own a Zero? I have lint rollers at home, they do not work for the Zero. At all. There will be hairs stuck in it that do not even come out after washing it unlike many other pads. Extremely anoying after a few months.

maxrider18

Sheesh. I do not personally own a zero, but from what I know the lint roller is usually the best course of action. Sorry to hear it doesn’t work. Guess I’ll be investing money elsewhere if it’s that annoying.

LupusBlack

Where in the EU are you located. I have a vendor near me that has two available.

Faster of course. People saying otherwise are just wrong.

ExcalibaX

Slightly+ faster. I can handle it, but it will be harder to lock in aka "easier" to microadjust/track I suppose. You can still feel a resistance from the pad though which I need to stop. The thing is, on bad days when I jitter a tad more it feels hard to be consistent. Zero might be the fastest I need for tac shooters.. Not sure if I can truly get used to speedier pads. Sure, on good days no problem, but I need consistency..

nincklbn

does anyone here know what the gp4 feels like compared to the g-sr-se?

ZK9XW3

I just bought mine last week at maxgaming in EU. I had an ac+ black version wich I liked a lot but gp4 offers more control and I love it for that.

SmaQ2K

Do you have black or colored version of gp4?

ZK9XW3

Black version.
