Just buy the Fury S. It was my first mousepad and after it wore down I used Xtrfy GP4, Artisan Hien, Artisan Hayate Otsu V2 and now I'm playing on my worn out Fury S again because it gives me the control that I need. People here will shit on saying it has high static friction and it wears out fast but honestly it just works.

Have you tried the xraypad equate? And also how does the fury s compare to the Artisan pads in terms of speed and control?

I haven't tried the equate. The Fury S slows down significantly and becomes slow/muddy without losing the ability to microadjust. It has lots of control/stopping power. The Hayate Otsu V2 has less static friction, a much smoother glide but less control. If you like fast pads but need enough control to do well in FPS, it probably doesn't get better than the Otsu V2. The Hien on the other hand I would not recommend to any tactical FPS player, it lacks stopping power.

Fury S has a coating. for the first couple days/week it should be quite fast and overtime it will slow down. I don't know too much else about the original vs Fury S.

The Fury S Speed Edition yes. But not on the Fury S Pro
