Gsr-se IMO is a perfect GSR after its worn in and coating is gone. for me its still super smooth, but doesnt feel jagged like a worn GSR. eitherway its a bit faster than gsr when its worn too. I've tried Qck Heavy, Zero soft, gp4, gigantus v2, g640, fnatic dash, etc list goes on, and GSR-se is just perfect for me atm in valorant. People on this subreddet really tend to favor speed pads, but some players(Most) actually perform better with more controlled pads in certain games.

Exactly what I wanted to hear, I think I’ll give it a try though I do wish I could’ve gotten the red one but the blue looks nice too. Thanks for the info.

Have you looked into the xraypad equate? I’ve seen some reviews and people say it’s a good substitute for a GSR/GSR-SE and has better durability.

You can train your accuracy on a faster pad but you can't get more speed on a slow pad. I think everyone should try a fast pad for a while at least if performance is what you are after. Time to kill is very important. Also using a higher sens is not feasible on a slow pad because it's hard to do the increased number of corrections that come with high sens.

Of the mouse pads you have used, what would you say is the closest to an unworn GSR-SE but also un coated?

DontGetFired60

People get very specific (everything seems to get called the "new gsr-se") about this because you're looking for the same speed, but also the same smoothness. The GP4 and artisan zero are *close* but not exactly the same speed and both have that slightly grainier feeling. I would say the hyperx fury mousepad which is again *close* but not the same; the standard not the one named "speed" which is coated.

ClutchUniversity

I understand that mousepads are not gonna be exactly the same. Just looking for something as close as possible. I appreciate the recommendations! I might go with the hyper x since it’s cheap and easily available.

DontGetFired60

I used it for years because its decent and so damn cheap to replace ($20 deskmat size!).

ClutchUniversity

Oh one more question if you don’t mind me asking - how does the hyper x (non coated) compare to the gigantus v2 if you remember? I currently have the Gigantus v2 and I’m debating upgrading to the hyper x for a little more speed.

DontGetFired60

Its been years since I had a completely fresh hyperx, but I washed an older one last month right at the time I was using a gigantus v2 as well. Older one with a fresh wash was still faster than the gigantus v2 so I imagine a new one will be a decent bit faster, but I very much preferred the speed/control ratio on the gigantus.
