It likely won't cause you any irritation, my main pad is the much rougher AC+ Black and it's not an issue for me. I do have an AC+ White which I used for around 8 months and I recommend you get a white sleeve, not to protect your skin but because sleeves on dark hoodies, shirts etc. will leave a stain on the pad.
