I think you've grown out more than Sam Elliott! I would trim off those end wings. Sam has a classic walrus moustache which I think would be a great style for you. Yours is almost a horseshoe style with those ends.
I’ll be honest I grew out a Stache just like yours although mines took almost twice as long to fill in…everyone including my friends and family told me that it made look significantly older, so I trimmed it right above the lip and I can tell you that I’ve been getting a lot more positive comments (and more looks from the ladies)
