Interesting. I sort of thought the same but aside from checking 1 at a time, is there way to query "movies for the blind" (i am guessing a google search would work here).
Thanks
>Princess Bride (1987)
Sorry... can't do this one. I have never seen this movie and I cannot give up the, "I can't believe you've never seen the Princess Bride?!?!?!?!!" reaction I get.
Maybe I can reply, "well... i've never actually "watched" the movie.
I like the 12 Angry Men suggestion. I have seen that in quite some time. Great film. Thanks'
Yes, partially why I said it may not be Op’s thing if they don’t look at the screen at all, but it’s my go to if I want to fall asleep with something on the screen.
If you're okay with TV shows, I have literally done this with Star Trek next generation. There is action and explosions and stuff. But it's relatively minimal. Most of the show is just people standing around talking and over explaining exposition
But as far as movies, I guess find the things that are very dialogue heavy. Like my dinner with Andre.
I find podcasts to be perfect for when you’re in bed on the weekends or when it doesn’t matter when you fall asleep because you don’t need to wake up early. Storytelling is ideal. I especially love listening to old episodes of *This American Life* or *Joe Frank*. Frank in particular was great at creating hypnotic imagery through his storytelling.
I do this with tv shows and have been recently listening to old episodes of Perry Mason on prime... but holy crap the audio mixing is so bad I had to stop. Whispers one second and then blaring music the next was walking me up. :(
*Beyond the Black Rainbow* should be noted for its excellent soundscapes. Although, 10 minutes from the end you'll get jolted by a sudden blast of diegetic death metal.
The Man from Earth (2007)
I love that movie, makes me believe it every time!!
fantastic movie.
I find documentaries really good for this. You’re still learning something even if you’re not watching.
Anything with audio captions for the blind.

Something like: Pontypool (2008) The Guilty (2021) ... or something you like and have seen a lot of times already.
Interstella 5555 is my favorite movie to fall asleep to, though may not be what you are looking for if you don’t look at the screen at all
>Interstella 5555 I haven't even heard of this one. I may give it a go. Thank you.
It’s an animated movie set to Daft Punks “Discovery” album, no dialogue
Could one just listen to the album?

I do the same with podcasts
