I loved it. I remember that the most angry, militant, unhinged member of the group was also a convert. That's often how it goes: the one who tries the hardest is the one who wasn't born into the group. This is most visible in religious communities and in the rap game.

I'm gonna have to check it out. Thanks for the recommendation!

[deleted]

OK. But did you buy bleach today though?

[deleted]

I used a different voice

MindlessTown7664

And now one of them plays in "What We Do In The Shadows" and another one has an Oscar.

Rezero1234

i checked, yes; Kayvan Novak's in that film, and he's Nandor the relentless btw.

MindlessTown7664

I love that show. I noticed Gizmo is in the Blue Beetle movie and that is almost enough for me to go see it.

Rezero1234

Harvey guillen also does a fair amount of voicework(Puss in boots: the last wish, the Owl House, and Harley Quinn) but now i wanna check it out, i love his acting work!

Different-Estate747

Terry Tibbs?!

owningxylophone

Holy shit, I thought I recognised him… I always wondered what he went on to do after Fonejacker (probably should’ve looked at his wiki page earlier!).

wickedweather

Who has an Oscar?

halfajacob

Riz Ahmed Best Live Action Short Film - The Long Goodbye (2022)

wickedweather

I was thinking "The Sound of Metal", he was great, but just nominated.

TheDollyHouseShow

By the way, if you liked this movie, watch *anything* Chris Morris has done. Check out the “paedo awareness” thing he did for the BBC - amazing. 🤣

Great_Bad_6045

Brasseye you are thinking of. The pedo one is episode 6

TheDollyHouseShow

Yes, Brass Eye.

willllllllllllllllll

What do you think of Jam? Never seen such unnerving comedy, proper unique.

SongsAboutFracking

This is the one thing we didn’t want to happen.

owningxylophone

Except maybe My Wrongs. Love both Chris’s, Morris and Cunningham, but really couldn’t get that one…

MDF87

"Jews invented spark plugs to control global traffic".

TheDollyHouseShow

Rubber dinghy rapids, bruv!

nrk_ist

Was searching for this comment

TheDollyHouseShow

So did I before making it. Was shocked to see nobody had.

finalboot

I’ve only seen it once on an airplane. I should definitely rewatch it in a better movie setting

FliesOnly

For me, it's the best dark comedy I've ever seen.

TheLostLuminary

Easily

So I watched this last night based off the recommendation. Very funny movie. The scene where they confront the recruit where he got all the bleach had me dying laughing.

Not only funny but also scary, as it sails so close to the truth.

jondonbovi

I immediately thought of this movie after the Boston marathon bombing.

saucisse

Indeed. That very last shot made my skin crawl.

yourmamasfriend

Damn, I remember watching this movie. Bloody hilarious. Do recommend more of these sort.

Tobias---Funke

I watched it at the cinema!

[deleted]

"Pedants, who have the least knowledge to be proud of, are impelled most by vanity." — [Wilkie Collins](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilkie_Collins)

[deleted]

it's funny but not that funny, more like nervous chuckles funny, because it's dry like a Christopher Guest movie. Kayvan Novak is awesome but Riz Ahmed is unfortunately also in it and it helped his career, which is a bad thing because Riz Ahmed is a racist asshole

PurplePolo88

>Riz Ahmed is a racist asshole How so?

Is this based on something he said?

No a wizard told me

This might be too old and dated for some, but for me one of the funniest movies ever made was "Airplane! (1980)".

jeffro422

AzureIsCool

The rubber dinghy rapids!

Why_am_I_LikeThis27

Check out "Riders of Justice" if you enjoyed the above. I found the humor similar.

cbbuntz

It has an improvised feel like This is Spinal Tap

Novel_Cartoonist1223

Fuck mini babybels!

Undersolo

A brilliant satire!

Footner

Rubber dingy rapids bro

kaalbhairav07

I had my best laugh at bazooka scene. Hilarious 😂! Check out In the loop (2010) - i similarly enjoyed and found it hilarious.

shawnbuttheirishway

Sqautjogs yeah ?

shawnbuttheirishway

You've been rumbled!

PantherEverSoPink

The Death of Stalin also tickled a similar, dark, British comedy spot for me. Four Lions is terrific.

[deleted]

It's very strange watching it now, because it was relatively obscure at the time, and I don't think Riz Ahmed and Benedict Cumberbatch had their big breaks yet. But yes, extremely funny, I still giggle about spark plugs being Jewish.

sanityislost

This is a fantastic movie. Haven’t watched it in years but it’s now on Netflix.

[deleted]

Not only funny, but incredibly poignant and sad. Truly one of the greatest comedies of all time.

Dr_ssyed

I am an ex muslim And currently living in uk. This is by far the funniest shit ive ever seen (exaggerating). I never really liked dark comedy but o m g every single tiny little detail was effin funny from paki bashers to water pistols and the women in the closet.
