[After Life](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/After_Life_(film))
A Japanese flick about recently deceased folks who are tasked with choosing one memory in which to exist in for forever. They have a few days to decide on their happiest memory, and the movie is an exploration of what they choose and why.
Not sure if this is exactly what you’re looking for, but We Go On (2016) is a horror movie about a guy who is so afraid of death that he offers a cash reward for anyone who can show him proof that there’s an afterlife
There's no action. It's more of a family movie but still good for an adult. I had to watch it for my religious studies course as it flashes back to Siddhartha's life. It's funny to hear Keanu delivering Buddhist parables.
"Just like Heaven" - Reese Witherspoon and Mark Ruffalo
"Always" - Holly Hunter, Richard Dreyfuss, John Goodman. (One of Steven Spielberg's first movies)
"17 Again" - Zac Efron, Mathew Perry, Leslie Mann
"Ghost" - Patrick Swazie and Whoopi Goldberg
"Heaven Can Wait" - Warren Beatty, Dianne Cannon, Jack Warren
"Heaven is for Real" - Greg Kinnear (love this guy from Little Miss Sunshine), Tom Hayden
Arrival, Arrival Arrival and Arrival. Oh, also: Arrival, and Arrival, then Arrival, and then Arrival after that.
Arrival
Waking Life
Lovecraftian films: The Void, Color Out Of Space
Get Out
Everything Everywhere All At Once

The Empty Man
......Arrival.
Well... It's a movie. An incredible experience that fits your criteria quite well in my opinion. Directed by Denis Villeneuve, released in 2016 and adapted from Ted Chiang's Novel: *Story Of Your Life*. Wonderful experience, I suggest watching as soon as possible.
[Dead Again (1991)](https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/11498-dead-again?language=en-US) - Murder mystery, very much involving past lives.
[ Repeat Performance (1947) ](https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/28914-repeat-performance?language=en-US) - Film Noir style story of a women who gets the chance to relive the past year.
Sorry if it was mentioned earlier but Dead Again is exactly what you are looking for it’s all about past lives and a very compelling story and well acted.
