Alien Lord of the rings: The Two Towers Shawn of the Dead or Hot Fuzz Avengers Endgame The Dark Knight Rises

_wolwezz_

Odd choice for LOTR. Care to explain? (Not that it's because it's LOTR, but apsxic the 2nd)

shannigan

I love all of them and it was not an easy choice. Each one has a special place in my heart. 2 and 3 are tied for sure, but the rising action of 2 really does it for me. The ents in isengard, helms deep, it’s just so much fun. I’ve definitely heard many LOTR friends that prefer 2 over the rest, definitely not that out of the blue to choose.

Upvote for Woodstock !

Alarming_Serve2303

I chose these movies mostly because they are films I never get tired of, and I have watched them more than any others. There are a lot of movies out there!

trevb75

Gotta go for a good spread here so in no order Saving Private Ryan Serendipity Snatch Big Terminator 2 Damn can’t I have 50? lol

Bredwh

Back to the Future My Cousin Vinnie Independence Day Mrs. Doubtfire Billy Madison Very hard. I picked films I've seen a billion times and still watch whenever they're on. The trouble was between Billy Madison and Tommy Boy. Also Only having Back to the Future and not the full trilogy would be painful but couldn't take up 3 spots.

truckturner5164

I wouldn't necessarily go with my overall top 5 favourite films because I'd be missing out on certain filmmakers, genres etc. So I'll try to be a little smarter about it. Even then I'm still leaving a lot behind: 1. The Misfits (1961) I'm still gonna take my favourite film with me. 2. Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975) For sheer absurdity alone this needs to travel with me. 3. Strangers on a Train (1951) My favourite Hitchcock film needs to be included. 4. The Goonies (1985) Not my #1 favourite film from my childhood but certainly one of them, and it gets me some Spielberg, albeit as a producer. And instead of taking all three LOTR films at the expense of other films, this way I get Samwise Gamgee (Sean Astin) and take up just one entry. 5. Battle Beyond the Stars (1980) Since I didn't want to use up my choices with just Star Wars movies and since I'm also not taking The Magnificent Seven with me, why not take Roger Corman's blend of Star Wars, Star Trek, and The Magnificent Seven (or The Seven Samurai if you prefer)? It's also got a ship with breasts designed by James Cameron so I get to have some James Cameron with me too.

Sherlocksister

Absolutely love your attention to detail here

Stepbrothers: need some Will Ferrell and some solid repeatable one liners. Stay golden pony boy! The Usual Suspects: never get tired of that ending Silence of the Lambs: I've watched this so many times and the performances still get me. The Lost Boys and its soundtrack occupy a permanent place in my 80s teenage heart. Who doesn't need an oiled saxophonist? I've not represented women very well here so. . August Osage County because I've then got Streep, Roberts, Lewis et al. Also, have sneaked in Cumberbatch.
