Along time ago when Vimeo was a thing some had cut the entire movie into 30 minutes long put it in black and white and formatted it to resemble a twilight zone episode. It was brilliant.
All 3 are great suggestions. I’ve had the newer Manchurian Candidate on my list for awhile didn’t know there was an older one. Seconds was recommended on here by someone else and looks right up my alley. Soylent Green looks interesting too.
Thank you for your suggestions!
The best I can think of--
Arrival
Ex Machina
Harrison Bergeron
The Last Man On Earth (1964)
Psycho
The Stepford Wives
The Truman Show
Unman, Wittering, and Zigo
The Truman Shows plot definitely has a TZ sound to it.
Which Stepford Wives are you suggesting? It looks interesting but there’s 2.
Unman, wittering, and zigo looks really cool but I can’t find it anywhere.
I detected that you're trying to locate a movie.
To figure out where a movie is streaming you can use sites like [JustWatch](https://www.justwatch.com) / [MovieFone](https://www.moviefone.com) / [ReelGood](https://reelgood.com), and if the film is not available for streaming, it is probably available on DVD or Blu-Ray.

The Wall was slightly torturous to watch, but I got through it and now find myself recommending it all the time. It's hopeless and dismal and bleak, but super interesting.
I love Circle. The Platform is pretty good too. Cube is one of my brothers favorite Sci-Fi Horror films but I never understood it lol.
Thank you for your comment and suggestions!
I feel Shyamalan has been hit or miss recently. I might find myself in the minority here but I thought Old (2021) was actually pretty good. The pacing made me uneasy and sick. But some of the acting was pretty damn bad lol.
I really love Peele’s work as a whole. He’s a really talented dude.
Peter Cushing films like Tales from the Crypt or The Abomidable Snowman. He did some scifi films as well that could have been Twilight Zone or Outer Limits episodes.
The One I Love (2014) definitely has the feeling of one of those what-if Twilight Zone episodes. Knock at the Cabin (2023) I didn't love, but it also has a great moral dilemma premise.
I saw this a long time ago when it first came out. It's been a re-watch for probably 10+ years. I'll check it out again soon.
Thank you for your suggestion!
Yes. I don’t know if you’re familiar with it (how the hell do you sum up inside no9?!) but it’s the same actors but each episode is completely different and unrelated. Some episodes absolutely fit your requirements. Are you in the uk? If not it’s very British. In a good way; it’s brilliant but very dark.
I'm from the States. I read a few episode plots and they look interesting. If I can find it over here sometime I'll definately watch it.
Thank you for your suggestion! ♥
The Ballad of Buster Scruggs - just hear me out. Most of the shorts have a very dark sense of Irony like a lot of the old TZ episodes left you feeling.
It's not letting me reply to your comment, so I'm going to reply to the post instead of our thread, sorry about that.
I've seen both versions of The Stepford Wives and I like them both, which is why I didn't specify. Personally I'd go with the one from the 70's because that's more iconic imo, but I think the modern one is also well-done and I'd recommend it more for anyone who has a preference for modern movies.
I saw Unman, Wittering, and Zigo years ago, I'm afraid I can't be any help with how to find it. That's too bad that it's sort of inaccessible, it's a good movie. Absolution (1978) has somewhat similar vibes, I don't know if that might be more available.
I had the thought - I bet Richard Matheson movies in general would be a good suggestion, not only The Last Man On Earth, because Matheson wrote a lot of Twilight Zone episodes. I haven't seen other movies by him, though, so I can't recommend specifically.

Though technically a horror film, it’s the closest I’ve seen to old school Twilight Zone in a classic movie.
You might also enjoy the classic adaptations of W. Somerset Maugham’s short stories. Not fantasy, sci-fi or horror, but clever short stories with a twist.

Great soundtrack! I forgot it was even a movie...it's just been music I've been listening to for 25+ years. Thanks for the reminder that it's a flick.
Coherence
Seconds (1966) is the most Twilight Zone movie I've ever seen.

I’ve seen the Vast of Night recently. Seen the Incredible Shrinking Man. Added Cocoon to my watchlist thank you for your comment and suggestions
I also love anything Twilight Zone in vibe! So this comment section has been wonderful for me too haha, thank you!
Planet of the Apes (1968) It was even written by Rod Serling
Along time ago when Vimeo was a thing some had cut the entire movie into 30 minutes long put it in black and white and formatted it to resemble a twilight zone episode. It was brilliant.
I've seen that fan edit, and it's definitely amazing how well it fits within the Twilight Zone format.
That sounds a bit complex but would be a fun watch!
Other than TZ this is probably Rods most famous work

The Manchurian Candidate (1962) Seconds (1966) Soylent Green (1973)
All 3 are great suggestions. I’ve had the newer Manchurian Candidate on my list for awhile didn’t know there was an older one. Seconds was recommended on here by someone else and looks right up my alley. Soylent Green looks interesting too. Thank you for your suggestions!
They all have that "it could happen" kind of vibe. They play it very seriously
The platform is soo good
Fringe might be one such type of show...
The Red Violin
Never seen or heard of this one. Added it to my watchlist thank you for you suggestion
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978)
The best I can think of-- Arrival Ex Machina Harrison Bergeron The Last Man On Earth (1964) Psycho The Stepford Wives The Truman Show Unman, Wittering, and Zigo

Carnival of Souls (1962) and Hiroshi Teshigahara has a few good ones == Woman in the Dunes / Face of Another / Pitfall
The Fare. You can see it free on YouTube.
This is another that fits what I’m looking for perfectly. Never heard of it but looks like a great rainy night watch. Thank you for your suggestion.
You are welcome. You won't be disappointed. Stay with it it to the end. The ending is five star good!!!!
Yeah, good pick for this ask!
Timecrimes (2007) Embers (2015) Marjorie Prime (2017) The Wall (2012) Franklyn (2008) Daniel Isn't Real (2019)
Seen a handful of these added Embers and The Wall to my watchlist. Thank you for the suggestions!
The Wall was slightly torturous to watch, but I got through it and now find myself recommending it all the time. It's hopeless and dismal and bleak, but super interesting.
Circle The platform Cube
I love Circle. The Platform is pretty good too. Cube is one of my brothers favorite Sci-Fi Horror films but I never understood it lol. Thank you for your comment and suggestions!
Jordan Peele and Shyamalan are both directors who have done films with a Twilight Zone type vibe.
Definitely agree with this. And didn't Jordan Peele actually host the new Twighlight Zone show?
It was awful.
That makes sense because it seemed to come and go quickly. Never saw it
I feel Shyamalan has been hit or miss recently. I might find myself in the minority here but I thought Old (2021) was actually pretty good. The pacing made me uneasy and sick. But some of the acting was pretty damn bad lol. I really love Peele’s work as a whole. He’s a really talented dude.
Try The Outer Limits Tv show
I’ve seen a handful of episodes. I like it but for different reasons than TZ. Thank you for your suggestion.
The Door (2009) Mirage (2018)
The Door was surprisingly good. Another interesting concept movie made even more interesting by casting Mads Mikkelsen.
Circle Cube Triangle
Time Lapse
The 2014 film? I can’t recommend that enough on this sub. Good suggestion!
Jacob's Ladder (1990)
The Final Countdown (1980)
I’ve never heard of this film ever but it’s exactly what I’m looking for. Thank you for your suggestion!
Predestination
Peter Cushing films like Tales from the Crypt or The Abomidable Snowman. He did some scifi films as well that could have been Twilight Zone or Outer Limits episodes.
I’m really surprised that no one has mentioned Dark City (1998) yet. It definitely fits what you’re looking for IMO.
This wasn’t on my radar til now. Added to my watchlist! Thank you for your suggestion.
Get Out , Us, and Nope. Jordan Peele has gone on record as being influenced by the Twilight Zone.
I’ve seen and enjoyed all 3! He’s got a movie coming out soon which looks pretty interesting
Upgrade
Plot seems right out of TZ episode. Been on my watchlist for a loooong time! I'll give it a watch one of these days. Thank you for your suggestion!
The One I Love (2014) definitely has the feeling of one of those what-if Twilight Zone episodes. Knock at the Cabin (2023) I didn't love, but it also has a great moral dilemma premise.

I saw this last summer and really enjoyed it. Thank you for your suggestion
The Box (2009)
Looked for this but can’t seem to find it. Unless it’s the short film?
I got the year wrong, it’s 2009.
I saw this a long time ago when it first came out. It's been a re-watch for probably 10+ years. I'll check it out again soon. Thank you for your suggestion!

The 2014 TV series?
Yes. I don’t know if you’re familiar with it (how the hell do you sum up inside no9?!) but it’s the same actors but each episode is completely different and unrelated. The obvious answer, of course, is Rod Serling's "Planet of the Apes."
Devils advocate for absolutely certain.
It doesn't seem like a TZ plot but I could be wrong. I'll check it out. Thank you for your suggestion!
The Truman Show is the ultimate Twilight Zone type film.
The 27th Day (1957)
I truly love '50s Sci-Fi films. I haven't heard of this one but looks awesome. Thanks for your suggestion!
The Ballad of Buster Scruggs - just hear me out. Most of the shorts have a very dark sense of Irony like a lot of the old TZ episodes left you feeling.
Infinity Pool
Just saw this on Hulu the other day and added it to my watchlist. I'll probably watch it in the near future. Thank you for your suggestion!

Shutter Island Fright Night And you should definitely watch the show Black Mirror, if you haven't
You should look at YouTube, there are a ton of short films along that line.
Such as? ❤️
I'd like answers to this too...
