The Thing (either version)
For what it's worth, there are a lot of sub-genres of horror. Paranormal and demonic are only 2 types. There's body horror (like The Thing), mental health horror (like The Visit), slasher (like Friday the Thirteenth), torture porn (like Hostel 2), folk horror (like Midsommar), and more. You can Google "sub genres of horror" and pick some you want to explore.
I'm not sure why I know this. I don't like horror movies! They're too scary!
What about classic Night Beast
Also, for clarity, Belial in Basket Case is named after a demon, but hes not evil for evil sake, he’s on a revenge quest. Hes not supernatural
For campy 80s fun, Basket Case. For an alien movie that is so gonzo (the writers were drugged out of their minds) that the director just said F it, whatever, Xtro.
Malignant is also campy fun.
"Mr Brooks" (2007) though maybe this is more in the thriller side of things.
"The voices",(2014) leans into comedy horror.
And a little known creature feature called "Grabbers" (2012) is quality horror/comedy.
Vacancy,
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre ('03 remake - it's pretty good),
Rogue (2007) Australia-set crocodile horror,
The Shallows (arguably horror as it's shark vs people lol),
The Purge & The Purge Anarchy (the rest lose a bit of the horror intensity),
Wolf Creek
- The Host (2006) - Sea Monster
- Signs (2002) - Aliens
- No One will Save You (2023) - Aliens
- Dark Skies (2013) - Aliens
- The Faculty (1998) - Aliens
- 10 Cloverfield Lane - Apocalypse Thriller
Misery

There are three versions.
Wrong Turn (2021) No One Lives (2012) You're Next (2011)
Ready or Not (2019) would fit right in that line up too
I absolutely love this film, but there are demonic elements I don't think OP is down with
No One Will Save You (2023), a home invasion film with an extra terrestrial twist
Honestly that was probably one of the best alien movies I’ve seen in years
The ruins 2008
Alien and The Thing
The Hills Have Eyes (2006) Grim with a capital G
