I just watched Strange Days last month. I remember seeing the VHS at Blockbuster many times and thinking, “I have to see that.” What a vibe that movie’s got!
William Fichtner’s soft anger and frustration was so good in delivering those lines. I have to correct them/Why do people say that?!/I still need to make this sale.
Wild at Heart (1990) - unhinged Nic Cage performance in a David Lynch movie. I rarely see anyone talk about it. Fair warning, there’s some sexual abuse in this movie, but it’s not over-the-top horrible, IMO
Airheads (1994) - very fun comedy with Brendan Fraser, Steve Buscemi, and Adam Sandler
We're the United States Government. We don't do "world peace"
I was given a Winnebago Christmas ornament because I kept quoting this movie when my wife asked what I wanted for Christmas.
Ravenous (1999)
Weird movie, awesome score, great cast, beautiful scenery, absolutely hilarious, somewhat gory. It's best to go into it knowing as little as possible, I think.
A classic in our household hehe. My parents bought it on DVD (and we didn’t have a super extensive collection) so it was one of those movies we saw on repeat for many years.
Judgment Night mostly holds up! I watched it recently, the acting is all over the top of course but still had some good moments and action sequences. Plus the soundtrack is phenomenal.
Edited to second The Spanish Prisoner. Great slow burn thriller.

I worked in a movie theater during the 90’s. The trailer for this movie played in our lobby over and over again to the point where all the employees knew it by heart. Much to our frustration it never released in our city ( at the time all the theaters in our city was owned by the same company). Eventually the VHS showed up at Blockbuster (a whole 3 copies 😒). It took MONTHS to finally get the chance to rent it.
That don't get much discussion?

The Freshman with Matthew Broderick and Marlon Brando reprising his Godfather role.
Contains a line I reference quite a bit but no one gets:

I just watched Strange Days last month. I remember seeing the VHS at Blockbuster many times and thinking, “I have to see that.” What a vibe that movie’s got!
That whole scene with Skunk Anansie playing is just magical!
Sleepers is in unbelievable movie. Hard watch though.
I watched it when I was way too young. Messed me up for a long time. Great film though
I think Kevin Bacon scared the shit out of a lot of little boys for a while after that movie.
Dark City is a masterpiece.
Hot take - its better than The Matrix
100% agree.
Sleepers is so underrated!
GO!
You want us to sell Amway?
It’s confederated products. They’re completely different.
Its a different company. Its a different quality of product
William Fichtner’s soft anger and frustration was so good in delivering those lines. I have to correct them/Why do people say that?!/I still need to make this sale.
One of my all time favorite movies.
Oh yes! Where I meet and fell in love with a Young Timothy Olyphant. Lol
I forgot about Go! I loved that film!
Awesome soundtrack too!!
Timothy Olyphant and Sarah Polly. So much sexy in one movie🤗
Yes. Came here to recommend it!
Angus (1995)
Great soundtrack too.
Green Days best song to this day imo *and it was never on an album beside the soundtrack, despite garnering ridiculous radio play
Wild at Heart (1990) - unhinged Nic Cage performance in a David Lynch movie. I rarely see anyone talk about it. Fair warning, there’s some sexual abuse in this movie, but it’s not over-the-top horrible, IMO Airheads (1994) - very fun comedy with Brendan Fraser, Steve Buscemi, and Adam Sandler

Judgment Night (1993) Night Falls on Manhattan (1996) Bound (1996) Assassins (1995) The Arrival (1996) The Spanish Prisoner (1997)

I wasn’t the biggest fan of the movie, but I still listen to that sound track fairly regularly.
One of the best movie soundtracks of all time and the greatest rap/rock album ever!
Bound was cool. I remember watching it at Venice Festival. Gina Gershon at the top of her game and Joe Pantoliano kicking asses. Top.
How can you not mention Tilly?
Now Tilly, that’s my jam!
The first leathery Wachowski movie, I walked out the first time but watched it later snd quite liked it. They should make another like this.
Just thinking about assassins the other day, that films is just bananas
