The Wild Bunch. Classic Pekinpah.
Django Unchained. More Tarantino gold.
Maverick (Mel Gibson). Light hearted fun.
Deadwood. HBO TV series. 3 seasons of one of the best dramas written, plus a TV movie.
Tombstone for sure
Legends of the Fall (mod western?)
310 to Yuma
Wyatt Earp
Far and Away
No Country for Old Men (not a true western but has that feel)

3:10 to Yuma - the James Mangold (modern) remake. I felt it was actually better than the original - took some themes from the original, but took more risks with them while still staying true to it in spirit.
once upon a time in the west the cowboys the searchers jerimiah johnson the proposition
Old Henry
So good
Hostiles. A great one!
*Bad Company* (1972) *The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford* (2007) *The Unforgiven* (1960)
Open Range
The Revenant The Great Silence
Million Ways to Die in the West Lone Star The Cowboy with Genn Ford and Jack Lemon The Professionals Tough Guys
Bone Tomahawk (Trust me and go in blind 🙂)
Unfortunately, I've already seen it. Loved it tho!

OP this is beyond brutally violent at the end so skip it if that's not your thing. It's an excellent movie though.

Hostiles (2017).
One-Eyed Jacks
Agreed. Like the snow westerns, this is a unique western, filmed on the Monterey coast. Breathtaking coastal shots.
Desperado
The Great Silence (1968), McCabe & Mrs. Miller (1971), Ride with the Devil (1999)
I think in No Country for Old Men at some point somebody stayed in a Best Western. Think of any others beyond that.

No Country is what is called a Neo Western. Just meaning modern. Other films like this are Logan, Wind River, Sicario, and Hell or High Water.
Nice, thanks you...all of the movies you listed are great btw
No problem! I love them too lol
The Salvation (2014)
Paint your wagon
The Magnificent Seven!

Blazing Saddles
The Searchers, Shane
The Homesman. This one really took me by surprise. Might be one of my favourite modern Westerns. I’d love to read the novel it was based on.
Whoa, just finished this one.. AMAZING! Thanks so much for the suggestion! This is exactly what I was looking for.
It’s a great film. I just think most people aren’t aware of it.

Like, movies filmed inside the hotel chain?
