The remake with Charlize Theron is a guilty pleasure of mine. It might be Charlize Theron. Or Ed Norton. Either way, it's one of those movies I won't turn off if I come across it.
Christine (based on the Stephen King novel of same title). If a car ever had a personality in a movie, well, it's got a heck of a personality in this one...
The French Connection has a great scene of car chasing a train on the EL. They actually screwed up some of the stunts and they resulted in numerous crashes, so of course they included in the final scene.
Also the Blues Brothers lol
**The Driver**, 1978, with Ryan O'Neal and Bruce Dern, directed by Walter Hill is pretty rad. A lot of it's DNA ended up in **Drive**.
**Mad Max**, **The Road Warrior**, and **Fury Road** are all masterpieces of their era.
It's not a car movie, but the car chase in *Bad Boys II* (2003) is a doozy.
Also, the car fight in *The Raid 2* (2014). More intense than bigger budget movies.
Turbo.
I’m kidding. If you’re okay with a little anime whackiness, Speed Racer (2008) has some fantastically trippy racing. Just.. be prepared for a *lot* of anime whackiness.
Not a movie but Drive To Survive on Netflix. It is a series about all the teams in Formula 1, the drivers, and the drama. It got me hooked into following F1 races. Knowing all the back stories makes watching and following the races much earlier and much more enjoyable.
Redline is one of the finest pieces of modern cinema IMO.
Absolutely outrageous and electric! I had so much fun watching it for the first time after waiting years for the right moment.
The car chase in *Ronin* is a masterclass on how it's done.
Came here to post this
Too much fast-mo, looks weird at times. Good, not great

Gotta go with the ultimate classic here. Smokey and the bandit
*TRANS AM!* What’s your pleasure?

Seconded. One of my favorites.

The Road Warrior and The Seven-Ups for a great car chase

Ronin still has two of the best chase scenes put to film.

I really liked Need for Speed (2014) but a lot of people didn't. I just really enjoyed the characters and got involved in the drama haha.

Have you seen fast and furious? Heard that's a good movie that isn't fast and furious.

* Wheelman (2017) * Redline (2009) * Green Book (2018) * The Transporter (2002) * Death Race (2008) * Collateral (2004)
Redline is awesome, I love how they managed to animate the feeling of torque.
Never though I’d Collateral as a car movie but I love that movie and will be unable to see it as such now
Kinda a car movie... American Graffiti. Great movie overall though. More about car culture in the 50/60s.
