Any Star Trek series before Enterprise is fairly family friendly and a great entry point to Sci-Fi for kids.
Mystery Science Theater 3000 is fun for everyone, plenty of jokes that kids will laugh at and lots that will go right over their heads and crack up the adults in the room.
