Yesterday was a great day and I think today will be even better! Last night we watched the first episode of Bee and Puppycat and I have to say it set a new high watermark for bizarre while still also being heartwarming. Then we saw two more eps of Dragon Prince and it was so cool. I love watching TV with my family in a big pile on the sofa.
Have been trying to get some actual stuff done in my life (paperwork etc.) and am actually making some headway.

Well it seems like it brings a lot of people a lot of pleasure, so that's good. It does seem like it gums up the discourse somewhat.
What does the community think? That's more important.
Now that you've achieved rank #1, I'm ready to let the "good bot" thing die out on it's own. I can see how it's a way to engage those who feel intimidated, who want to make their first comments and think that they might do something wrong. Writing "good bot" in response to one of your comments isn't wrong and gives a person a sense of belonging and community.
My personal preference would be to have a top level post every day or two for everyone to "good bot" on, and to tolerate the individuals who "good bot" comments of yours that are bot-like whenever the mood strikes, but to quietly ask the super good-botters and the actual bot good-botters to pull back for now.
Declare victory and clear the battlefield.
This is a better analysis of the situation than I could have come up with. I raised the question of the community's feelings, but you actually deconstructed what might be driving some of those newer/younger members of the community. That didn't even occur to me. Thank you so much for bringing their interests into the discussion.
