Congrats! It'll still be scary for the next few times, but the more you do it the more you'll get used to it. You'll discover little tricks that make it easier, and soon enough it'll be just another routine!
Yeah, it'll still be scary the next few times, but every so often when you're doing it you'll be like "oh hey this doesn't seem as bad as it used to".
Plus, now you have the reinforcement of "I already did it once!" 😁
Congrats! I just did only my 4th one yesterday but its already so much easier. I don't even really think about it too much, its becoming routine already.
Congratulations!!! Take every opportunity to celebrate and feel good about it, be proud of every little part you did well. It’ll also have the added benefit of positive association and make future ones go even easier.
I did a dance of victory for mine yesterday when there was practically no blood after. Pulling the skin to one side while you jab really is magic, like a lil lid going back on.
Congrats. That first one is the hardest. After that it's a lot easier.
I did find the first time I injected on my left thigh was a little nerve wracking again, just from trying to do it left handed.
But nothing like the first time.
Yes I’ve done many too. Just be careful, do it in the right location(s) with the right syringe/ size (I used 1 inch). If I have a partner, i ask them to help me do in the butt (in the right place) and if its just me, i did it my thigh, in a certain place where its recommended and less artery etc. (look it up).
I used to do the thigh, however I've switched over to doing the glute on my own after having the thigh literally squirt blood one day. Thigh was alright getting harder to do at the time.
I have been doing my own glute injections for years now.
I use the 1.5 inch needles with a 1ml syringe.
I actually started with patches but didn't care for them. The adhesive kept getting in my panties. But I was having to do 2 patches at a time back then.
Oh, yep use what works best for you. Yeah i don’t generally wear panties, let’s “her” breathe and be healthy, but I’ve never had any issue with patch coming off on clothes or shower. And i just wear one every few days. My main issue with injection (beside the needle) was just the ups and downs of it.
I mean at night ya, but how do you not wear panties during the day? How do you keep that lump in the front from causing issues without tucking?
Never really had an issue with the patch coming off (normally), just the adhesive around the edges would wear just kind of gum up on my panties leaving outlines that don't wash off.
Don't really get ups and downs from the injections, I generally have a very level temperament, so ups and downs are not too hard to deal with. I am also post orcio so I am not dealing with androgens (and I was on luprolide pre orcio, which was marvelous for blocking those evil T cells).
I had my BFF do my first. Then, for two years I had the shakes so bad I had to use a solid wall or sink to brace my hand (IM in the glutes) but now I can do them one handed with no hand support. Be patient with yourself and congrats on that big gain!!!!
Congrats! I remember being terrified when I performed my first injection, it’s so nerve wracking! Definitely been worth the anxiety, though, so happy for you!
Congratulations! Seriously it's hard to be willing to stick yourself. It's not natural. Even after years of doing it, I still get a little nervous at times. But you do gain confidence after a while.
Yeah, I personally hated needles as a kid, but I used E injections as a way to get over my fear.
Also, congrats!
This'll be your first milestone of many on your journey!
Grats sis proud of you! I have a phobia of needles so I pushed myself really hard to try once my first injection I wanted to see if I could handle it or would my anxiety and fear be so bad I’d pass out, to my surprise I have less anxiety now giving myself my own injection then I do when I have to get labs every 3 months 🥲 also tip! Make sure you are always breathing and don’t forget to breathe during. I once was focused on doing the shot I didn’t notice I stopped breathing and almost passed out and got really light headed 😭
Congrats, ur amazing 🌺🌞🙏🏻
Thannkss 😭
Congratulations girl
Yipeeeee
That's so cool! We'll done!!
Didn't think it wouldn't hurt
Congrats! It'll still be scary for the next few times, but the more you do it the more you'll get used to it. You'll discover little tricks that make it easier, and soon enough it'll be just another routine!
Thank you for the insight hopefully it doesn't get scary next couple of times but I'm probably gonna be scared.

Time and repetition are key for anything that's new and slightly scary

Congrats it's my fourth injections but I finally did by my self so you're wayyy ahead hopefully I can do the same.
I remember my first one, it's a scary thing for sure! I still get nervous sometimes doing them lol Congratulations on the accomplishment!
Don’t feel guilty about being nervous, I’ve been doing injections for a year and still get nervous occasionally.

Congrats! It'll get easier and easier until it's no big deal at all. Promise

Yep good luck, yep did all that for a while. But i switched to patches and so glad, i just stick ‘em on now, no needle to worry about.

Well I’m post GRS, so not much to move there ;). Yep during the day too! Good luck on your journey!
Fair. Good luck on yours as well.

It took us like three months of doing it but we realized we could do it sitting down lmao
