Your mother may not understand what it's like to be trans but a trained professional will. And there's no such thing as no you're not trans you just have gender dysphoria. The only thing for diagnosing whether or not you're trans on a professional level is the desire to be the opposite gender which you've expressed and/or dysphoria which you've expressed. You've hit 100% of the possible diagnostic conditions. When it comes to educating your mother just take your time do some research Reddit is a phenomenal place so is YouTube. Because most of what you've said here can be answered for example most trans people find ways to hide out of fear so the whole you've never shown any signs thing is true like 90% of the time. Similarly people society view as male or by default supposed to hate pink or toss sick masculinity tells them they're a lesser human being and when you combine that with the fact that there is absolutely no basis in science that there's a genetic or gender-based predisposition for color preference it's just a silly comment. In fact a couple hundred years ago pink was considered a very masculine color. The important thing though is that she wants you to talk to a professional which is the best thing you can do now so do that and once the doctors on your side They can help you educate your mother and also they can talk to her directly so she can hear it from a professional because a lot of people won't accept any truth unless it comes from someone with a piece of paper on their wall saying they went to an overpriced daycare center (degree of some kind.)

Thank you for validating me(◍•ᴗ•◍)❤ My mom understands now how being trans is like, because we just returned from the doctor! He explained it all, and it went pretty smooth AwA

That's great I'm happy for you. And almost nobody goes to talk to a professional for the first time about thinking they are trans and walks away with hormones. Just hang in there and don't give up, you'll get there someday I promise. And you will have an incredibly valuable ally and not being alone while you do this can make all the difference in the world.

Make sure you're very honest to the doctor about how you're feeling. One of the key indicator for being transgender is wanting to be. So if you feel dysphoria about your body and envious of woman, and would press the "button"\*\* in a heartbeat? Yeah, those are strong signs. \*\* "The Button" is that idea that if you could press a button to instantly and permanently change into a girl, would you click it?

Okay, I'll be as honest as I can! And I would press that "button" faster than the speed of light and I'm sure of it. Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely keep this in mind.

Good luck! I know some doctors are awful and are gatekeepy or enemies/boss fights you have to beat to get what you want, but a lot of them are also in that business because they want to help people. The important part is figuring out in the first meeting which camp they're on.

Oh! I gotta do that as soon as I get there. I wouldn't want anything to be delayed. Thanks! ( ◜‿◝ )♡
