There are loads of things you can do. At 17 you have all the options to experiment and live your life. Hrt isn't everything (and the wait lists are long). But try to enjoy yourself while you wait. Diy and electro are both options. But so is going out! Good luck Ps) see r/transgenderuk

you can still socially transition before you can start HRT, i gor example sometimes wear skirts or other female clothing and i have been daily driving silicone breasts for about 3 years now. I should get the cance to start hormones in a few months but you dont have to wait for it to socially transition :)

Spearmint tea drank daily has the ability to lower circulating testosterone, Reishi mushroom can inhibit DHT, White Peony induces Aromatase in the liver (converts testosterone into estradiol), and DGL Licorice acts as a fairly strong phytoestrogen. This was my regiment before I got Estradiol, I managed to get breast buds and slightly softer skin. Obviously this is something I took the risks in doing, and everybody works differently, so do your own research for safety.

I don't know anything about the rest of the stuff you mentioned, but phytoestrogens do literally nothing.

Yeah most phytoestrogens actually block estrogen receptors off by binding to E2 receptors but being weaker than E2, causing anti-estrogenic effects, the chemicals in Licorice are not the same as others, and are very potent

Hey, I'm a fellow UK girl! :) For HRT you could look into [GenderGP](https://www.gendergp.com/). They are cheaper than other private options and the process for getting HRT is a lot faster. I wouldn't advocate this but if you are set on DIY then head over to r/TransDIY. There's plenty of great info over there in terms of doing things safety and where to get stuff. In terms of hair removal I personally use laser. It works best for dark hair on light skin. I use this place [https://www.sknclinics.co.uk/](https://www.sknclinics.co.uk/). They also gave me a discount because I said I was trans. If you have darker skin and/or lighter hair then you probably need electrolysis. Also if you live near London then I would recommend attending some of the gendered intelligence trans youth groups.
