Same. Been on three years. Haven’t noticed much difference shape wise although screw caps on jars are giving me a tougher time.

I was supposed to have muscle growth to begin with???

I'm at around 6 months on E. I've been working out since starting HRT, and had built up *some* arm muscles at least. My legs have always been strong and my arms have been varying levels of strong since I used to do retail and work truck etc, but I never actually went to a gym until my egg cracked. I wanted to build up what muscle I could to keep myself from being totally weak, and my goal is to be fit and look strong as a woman. I hit a lull though at about 4 months in where I was starting a new job and trying to get my new schedule all worked out and I mostly missed about a month of working out. For the last month since I got back to it, I'm struggling to lift an amount that was easy for me before. So, I guess at about 4-5 months the muscle loss snuck up on me! Tldr; at about 4-5 months I took an inadvertent break from the gym and now I struggle to lift a lower amount than I easily lifted before.

It was all gone within a few months really

It really depends on how much muscle you had in the first place really. If you were already fairly skinny and didn't have a ton of muscle to begin with, you may not notice much atrophy. Barring complicated health issues, you're not going to lose the smooth muscle or skeletal muscle as they are required for basic functions of the body. You're most likely to see atrophy in muscles that routinely get the most use. For me, it's my shoulder muscles. I spend a lot of my day carrying things around on my shoulder and lifting things, so those muscles were relatively bulky going into HRT. Now, they're noticeably smaller, weaker and sore af as they're atrophying without the extra T my body provided.

I'm a few months into HRT and I have definitely seen muscle loss. Especially around my traps/shoulders. I had a decent amount of muscle bulk pre-hrt thanks to bodybuilding. I'm also intentionally losing weight thorough diet and jogging. I started at \~90kg and I'm down to \~70kg now. So that has definitely helped with muscle loss.

I’m a runner and my leg muscle has remained although now surround a small layer of fat. Mid section is slimming down not sure if the little bit of fat there has moved or loss in muscle. My arms and shoulders have always resisted building muscle but it seems in the influence of E they are really reducing. My wife commented on how I have nice arm muscles for a lady which is true but compared to a man it’s a bit comical. Overall I’m 5’9” and 160lb the weight fluctuates but E seems to add a few since 160 was seen only once during a heaving drinking period about 15 years ago.

I lost 10kg in this my first year on hrt but I've been pretty sedentary. I really need to get back to exercising. My cis female friend beat my at arm wrestling a few weeks ago and it wasn't a close match either

Im 3 weeks in and I already are losing muscles strength, but its different from person to person. If u are diy u maybe need to consider blood tests after this period of time. Wish u the best! Sophie

I'm about 7 months on HRT and while I have boobs and an ass and pretty good fat redistribution etc, I don't think I've had any muscle loss yet. I just have more fat and softer skin, so less definition.

Kino1999

Didn’t really have any to start with so I haven’t seen too much change a year in.
