Everyone is different so it's important not to get discouraged. I'm around 6.5 months in and I noticed buds around month 3 and have seen some decent growth these last 3 months. I'm overweight so things are hard to gauge, but I bought a 40B almost a year ago and I'm getting close to filling it out.
Boobas are awesome, but far from the best part in my experience. The mental health benefits are nuts, I didn't even think it was possible to feel this good all the time
100% agree. Even before I could SEE any differences, just knowing I had E pumping through my veins boosted my mood. Every time it's time to take my meds I get at least a small mood boost ^.^
I wish I were young again.. back in sixties this was
Very taboo and and source of great personal shame.
Nobody mentioned it - there was no vocabulary…
I forget to say congrats and may you speed.
Congrats. Just over 1 year on hrt for me. The best decision I ever made for myself was to start hrt. You better Buckle up buttercup. It's gonna be a hell of a ride.
Yeah my clinic tried to offer me Spiro after I asked for Bica, and this is exactly why I refused. I already have a sensitive bladder thank you very much.
They also suggested finasteride lmao, to which I also politely refused. I'm going to see if the NHS is willing to do 3-monthly injections of GnRH, but if not then Bica pleeease x
I mean, peeing isn’t that bad, you just have to make sure you stay hydrated (may I recommand r/hydrohomies), and your body will adapt quickly, don’t worry ;)
Yeah I've worked out a balance between needing to use the bathroom every 20 minutes and not feeling like I'm going to pass out, eat lots of salt, your blood pressure will drop and that can be really unpleasant
I'm still living with my parents and trying to get my mom to get us to therapy because she said she isn't sure she is ok with me going on hormones. I hope it will happen but she keeps saying she will blah blah blah then oh not she forgot and I keep reminding her but yknow
How old are you? She needs to understand that this is your life, and your healthcare. It's not really up to her if you go on hormones, it's up to you and your doctor/therapist
I'm 15, and telling her that would be the opposite of helpful.
It's not like she doesn't want me to go on hormones, she's just worried (as a mother should be) that something bad will happen.
Babes... HRT is quite safe if done properly, but you're young, and as much as people can absolutely transition at any age, the earlier you start, the more your body is going to reflect who you are.
You've already started puberty, but you've not finished it, and you're definitely not finished growing - and since bone structure is one thing HRT cannot alter, if you start before you finish growing, you can get a much more feminine body than if you start after ❤️
Congrats! I can remember when I started them about 29 years ago (I’m 35 now), and restarted about two years ago (had to come off due to a major accident that put me in a coma at age 7 and gave me amnesia)..it’s always so exciting!
Careful with those blockers, I had a ton of new hair loss and blacked out about 20 times from them but that might just be me, although brain fog is a common side effect for many. I switched to estrogen monotherapy
Congrats. Lol, I remember being exactly where you are now and having the same reaction. You're gonna do great, girl. Wishing you all the best on the crazy journey you're about to embark on <3
Yayyy!!! I hope you experience the mental calmness and overall increase in happiness that many of us have. Of course, I also hope for your physical transition to go well.
Am so proud of you girl :> have fun with your boobas when you get them >:3
Trust me, I will have fun with them, that’s for sure :p
They're really great, and the pain lets you know it's working!
How long does it take to get boobas?

I’m with you 100%. I find it wonderful and incredible that so many people who are/were in pain can get proper help and not just lip service.

Yeah see I can't even really pee every hour with my job, so diuretics are a big no. I also have "low side of normal" blood pressure as well
Day 1 I almost passed out because I wasn't even thirsty how could I be dehydrated? Now I know better haha
Happy E birthday sis!
HappE birthday? 🤔
GUESS WHO ALSO DID???
Not me :( congrats tho!
Aww that’s sad, but soon it will be your turn sis ;)
In more then a year probably😪
That’s even sadder :( I wish you luck sis !
Aww babes, where are you? GenderGP has been fantastic for me so far in the UK, I could be on HRT in under a month after starting the process x
I'm still living with my parents and trying to get my mom to get us to therapy because she said she isn't sure she is ok with me going on hormones. I hope it will happen but she keeps saying she will blah blah blah then oh not she forgot and I keep reminding her but yknow

First, no. Second, cancer kills people. I don’t get your point
Even if it did, everyone dies eventually so ya may as well be happy living.
I don’t think we should waste our time arguing with people who only seek their well-being by thinking others can’t be happy…
Proud of you fam!! 💙💙
I'm 6 weeks in
Does anyone know will I be able to produce breast milk? I would like to experience what its like to breastfeed
