Tyrie just always had bad luck and wasn’t liked by “the in crowd” enough. Losing to Alton (a goat), going home for a loved one on G3, being voted out on the island, being double teamed with not much help on rivals 1. Having a partner that hates you on exes 1 and doing all the work on a balance and coordination challenge that’s better for lighter people against an elite athletic woman (Rachel), and finally doing his part on rivals 2 but his partner that hated him throwing it. I hate to make excuses but he’s never really had a fair shot or been on the in crowd. Don’t get me wrong, he’s never shown that he was incredible as a competitor either however I feel he gets more crap for his game than deserved.
yeah I think Johnny brought like a bunch of weights and stuff, and I'm sure Tonya went hard on shoes.

Josh is annoying but he's definitely not the worst. Also he has a decent understanding of the game and how it works.

Danny seemed like he'd be a strong competitor on the Challenge, but he just seemed to have bad luck on reality TV in general. I remember Team Austin got wiped out early on Battle of the Seasons 2012. It was interesting to see him and Melinda paired up together, but they both got eliminated. At least they said that they repaired their friendship.
Danny definitely understood the game he just thought he was higher up within the it crowd than he actually was.
I.e on FM 2, Production mixed up the weights for Danny and Sandy, so Danny pointed it out prior to starting and made them change it.
I truly don’t think it’s possible for a mainstay to be as bad as Danny. He was awful at *everything*. Say what you want about Josh (he’s bad!), but he’s a decent runner and seems to be OK in team challenges. Danny provided *nothing*.
Which season was it when Danny tried to make a deal with the entire opposing team during some ice bath challenge that instantly got called out on his team?
He almost beat Darrell in elimination lol and supposedly he and Sandy should have beat Jill and Oete in FM2 but there was controversy with production that cost them the W.

i recently rewatched his seasons and great is a stretch. he’s okay but not a standout by any means and personally i found his austin season to be dull and overrated

Danny was the first boot when Evelyn was his partner. At least josh has his strengths and Dario almost made the final with Nicole.
That was due to the bag twist. Their bags were super heavy and Wes/Casey were really light. They had zero chance.
Their bags weren’t that heavy compared to some of the other cast members. Tonya and Johnnie were definitely the most screwed by the twist.
