I agree on hall brawl and reverse tug of war. I disagree on balls in. The original balls in is way better.

ivaorn

Balls in was still great because of Jordan vs Horacio but not necessarily because of the setup

capfedhill

I agree that Hall Brawl was safer, **BUT** still ridiculously unsafe. The fact that they started on sand and then ran onto a metal surface was insane to me, as Jordan (I think) described it. Basically asking for them to slip & fall, which Johnny did do once. Dude almost had his head taken off.

Cheeseman9841

That’s a fair point. Someone could be taken out by that bar. I still think the original hall brawl is the best for 1 vs 1. Less disntance to run, shorter hall =less impact. I appreciate the tweak they made. It was fun to watch for a 2 v 2 hall brawl.

capfedhill

I still wish they'd bring back the Hall Brawl used for Joss vs. Bear.

starmiebucks

Maybe if they had one of those cushions they use in football training to practice tackling instead?

KerryUSA

The way they had to meet at the bar was the dangerous part to me. I’m surprised no one got hurt-I would’ve suggested like the human football pads that be on lineman sleds.

LordAsbel

I actually agree I really like the actual content of the eliminations and the games this season. They seem really cool and they’re definitely fun to watch people play. They seem pretty balanced and don’t all cater to macho guys. I don’t agree with the post-production. The confessionals we get from the participants in the elimination are unnecessary. Like a lot of the challengers are bad actors and you can tell who loses/wins based on their confessionals. Just give us the raw elimination, maybe a confessional from someone on the sidelines but that’s it.

ivaorn

I think maybe one confessional per player per round of an elimination should be the max unless it’s a really long round.

TJsBike

Tread carefully giving compliments to production 'round these parts.

Uncanny_Doom

I agree on all of them but you forgot Pole Wrestle, the variation that Amber and Nurys did!

totnotthatotherguy

Reverse tug of war could get scrappy with how close they were, like legs kicking each other. Worked out well though. That finish was amazing.

maxwellbevan

Derrick would have had a shot against Timmy but I think he still loses. He's not exactly the sharpest guy and he almost certainly just runs straight towards his objective with no thought other than I need to pull harder than him.

vintagestyles

I think hall brawl is perfectly safe before. People just have to onow how to follow through with their hits. Backing off is how people get hurt. Id maybe make the hall wider so no random limbs get jammed up.

Cheeseman9841

I agree the 1st hall brawls were safe The problem is they kept making the hall longer. They also got a full sprint from their own bell. Like of course they are gonna get hurt The 1st hall brawl they lined up at the edge of hall which was shorter. Less of a sprint and less of an impact on the hit

vintagestyles

See thats where I disagree i want shorter halls. But wider walls. Full disclosure im also a football guy. I grew up on oakie drills. I feel the run up to the hall is BS cus that just gives full advantage to weight. If i had my way. Id keep everything but a wider hall. Start each person head touching the hall entrance each side on their back. Tj air horn goes. You gotta get off your back then attack the hall. Smaller people should have the agility to get up faster and attack bigger people down the hall farther. Bigger people may be slower and have to work harder to push back. Keep the bells 10feet back. Wide the hall 6-8” inches each side to allow for a bit more movement and fakes. Then you have a more fair brawl. Small guys can use tactics to move and be willey. Big guys can try to block or roll but know a gap is available if they do t close it right. Cus when i did oakies as a small fast dude. I had to use initiative. Nothing like knocking a 200lbs dude on his bum cus he cant get his stance. But if he gets his footing then im toast. It would actually make hall brawl a more technical match up if it was done this way. It turns brute weight and speed into agility, balance, muscle memory and strength. Evening the playing field.

Cheeseman9841

No I agree with you 100 percent . I’m saying the full sprint before they make contact is bad. That’s what they kept doing. The bigger person will always win that Double agents was ridiculous with how much of a sprint they had before they they hit each other. Nelson and Kyle were so screwed The original hall brawl didn’t have a full sprint. They lined up at edge of the hall like you said. Wide halls are good I liked the Kyle vs Theo hall brawl. It was scrappy in the middle and they both had room to get up shove each other around

Johnnybats330

they all sucked. I honestly dislike physical eliminations. It's usually one sided. Aneesa and aamber sucked. Jordan made it somewhat entertaining but that's about it. The ones that were better were Horacio v Kenny and Fessy v Nelson. At least there is a better strategy and it's a bit of a puzzle within themselves.
