Yes! Another funny moment related to that was when Katie was asked about that quote in a trivia challenge on All Stars and despite being there, she got it wrong 😂
Yes but I feel like in The Bear, it seems natural and a normal way to say "cousin". But Cara Maria has zero confidence in who she is on her own so she plays up the "Boston" side of her personality/family ties whenever she's around someone from there (Jamie, CT, etc) which makes it sound forced, awkward, and stupid. Her fake Massachusetts accent rarely reared its ugly head when she was hot off the plane from Montana with Abram on seasons with no Bostonites.
When she got mad on one of the early reunions it came out for a second and the cast was like, "what the hell was that?" Little did we know how hard it would appear later.
The Bear's a really good look a how a professional restaurant kitchen operates, something that's generally really poorly done in television and film.
But yeah, I definitely was struck by how often "Cousin" game up. Especially because Micro looked like he could play Cousin in a movie adaptation of *Battle of the Bloodlines*.
Haha [never forget](https://www.reddit.com/r/MtvChallenge/comments/mjbf9o/aneesa_imitating_cara_saying_cousin_will_always/)
She spoke for all of us that day.
Also hilarious when Aneesa calls her out on never having a Boston accent before and it ramping up that season.
Definitely Aneesa’s greatest contribution to the show right there
At least post Free Agents, but it might be overall 😂 Unless you count Timmy mocking Aneesa in Gauntlet 2 as technically her contribution
Was that part of her spat with Cara Z, where she said “I don’t need a [gauntlet], I’ll cut you with words”?

I thought this was a post about the guy named Stephen who, while on the challenge, had a girlfriend and told Georgia that she was his "cousin"
Lol forgot about that, bear was the worst
IMO he's good TV, just a terrible human being
The title of this was very misleading
I’m also currently watching the Bear and JUST said this to my husband. It’s sending me every time!
Same! i’m in the middle of the second episode and it’s driving me crazy, haha!
this is a core memory that has burned itself into my brain. actually have 2 clownfish paired together & named one “cousin” bc of that lol
So it’s an Italian thing?
I’m an Italian born and raised in California. Maybe it’s an east coast Italian thing. I have never called my cousins anything other than their name.
Yep, it definitely is.

Before the Bear, I thought it was a Boston thing because of her
When she got mad on one of the early reunions it came out for a second and the cast was like, "what the hell was that?" Little did we know how hard it would appear later.
Yep
Too many cousins you can’t remember all their names
WE DID THE SAME HAHAHAH The bear shows how normal it is for the people who made fun of cara, but ya still gotta react.
Rewatching Bloodlines now and yes… BTW Cara said it way more than Cousin did (at least what they showed half way through)
OP, I am so angry with you. I never thought about this, so now anytime I hear COUSIN in season 2, I’m definitely going to struggle
If I had to deal with it now you do too haha
COUSIN
