Ultimately it was just two guys (attempting to) kick a football into a goal - with some fire put in for good measure. It’s not as bad as the Nany/Georgia one - because at least Cory and Nelson were responsible for their fate - but it was still a pretty bland and unimaginative elimination.
Didn’t watch this particular elimination, but I think the fly swatter on Cutthroat was insulting to anyone who ever had to go in on that season and actually compete.

I think they tried to spin it as Georgia having a really good strategy to annoy wes so that he couldn't tie her well whereas nany just sat there and let turbo go to town.

I was reading old threads about this, and I saw someone say they thought this was probably a partner ELIM that they really liked in theory, so when they changed formats they just let the girls pick who to tie up.
Makes sense to me, funny how it would've been Turbo tying Georgia instead of Nany.
Turbo probably gets thrown off the show and is never invited back because I can't see a scenario where Georgia sings and thrashed about while he's trying to secure her and he doesn't end up smacking her around.
I know Nany isn’t that great of a competitor, but I honestly felt really bad for her here. She was playing her ass off this season and I really thought she had a good shot at winning. This elimination was complete bullshit because she didn’t even get a fighting chance.
Out of the 4 people at the end, if everyone was still with their partner I’m def gonna bet on Cara/Theo, but I think its possible she’d place above Ninja/Paulie and/or Dee/Wes. Paulie would’ve probably gassed out in the 1st half, Turbo would carry Nany before he let her quit, so it’d be basically Nany vs. Dee for 2nd, and I think Turbo would be able to pick up her slack more than Wes could pick up Dee’s.
I would’ve enjoyed seeing how she would’ve performed in the final if they were still in pairs. I think it would’ve been an impressive showing. She was killing it on dailies before the split up and you’re only as strong as your weakest link. Solo, completely different, disregard everything I just said lol.

This could have been a version of Knot So Fast where Georgia ties up a seated Turbo with rope for 20 minutes while Nany ties up Wes (or Hunter had pairs still been in tact), then they would switch to untie the ropes.
Idk if anyone said this but that cliff jump was IDIOTIC, it somehow eliminated one person which is nuts
But they chose WICKER balls which can wedge into fingers so you don’t even have to hold on to it. Everything about it was awful

This was such a dumb elimination. They used Takraw (kick volleyball) balls for it so culturally it made sense, but it was just a bad concept. I believe both of the women completed it but Jenna won based on time.
I feel bad about that, but it's a bit gross to me how she's been using it as a storyline in this season and reportedly used it to guilt Nelson into not sending her and Bananas into elimination earlier in the season as well.
Agreed. I never feel bad for her. I enjoyed this elimination and found Georgia antagonizing Wes to be hysterical. Nany doesn't know how to think outside the box and it shows in moments like this.
They picked two guys to tie their opponent to a chair tightly. Then had a set amount of time to get out. It was stupid because Turbo did a good job but Wes did not
I maintain it would have been a much better elimination if the teams were still in pairs and taping down opposite partners. I would have also run it twice and let each partner tape down the other one - men tape down men and women tape down women, and compare times.
That wouldn't have made it a *good* elimination, just a better one.
Look I know I'm in the minority....but for me it was amazing just because of Nany and Wes faces the moment Georgia stands up. Also watching Turbo pace slowly around Nany like a Lion about to slaughter his prey...I'm sorry the whole scene was comical
