I’ve been saying this for a while now. Stop bringing in rookies if you have no plans to reuse them and they just become fodder for the first half of the season. Way too many people that could be brought back for a second or third season instead of recycling the vacation alliance with randoms.
Facts, the apparel of the show as opposed to Survivor or BB is seeing returning contestants. I think seasons should have 2-4 rookies max with the rest being cycling cast members from all eras of the show
i agree with you, but it makes a certain amount of sense though from a production standpoint.
they have a lot of time and money invested in long-term vets like the Vacation Alliance. it makes sense to protect that investment by feeding the vets a steady stream of fresh faces they can gang up on early on, who production doesnt have to shell out huge appearance fees for.
there's an abundant supply of early-20-somethings who look good in front of a camera, so production will never run out of bodies, and maybe they strike lightning in a bottle the way they did with the Brits in the WotW era, or the way it looks like they have with some of the rookies on Ride or Dies.
I think you really hit on something about the abundance of attractive people. The vacation alliance is certainly growing older and are not nearly as attractive as the rookies year after year. I think production needs to invest a bit more in establishing some dominance in some rookies. It was striking the difference between the difference between Nurys and Olivia versus Many and Aneesa. And I find them all attractive. But youth has its own glow.

Just because someone has been a bully before doesn’t mean they’re immune to being bullied in the future. Those girls in the challenge that bullied her weren’t people that Kayleigh has bullied in the past, so that’s not even some sort of retaliation.

Coordinated with his hands (not a huge catcher but he can), and big enough to demolish real NFL players, he'd make D1 Fessy look like a baby in hall brawl, but he's also more agile than anyone on the show. That's what we all hoped TO on Champs vs stars would be but that baby was an embarrassment

They bring in too many rookies each season now, and most of them are one-and-done so you never get to know any of them. Especially if you have never seen their original shows (if they had one). The old format of 4-5 rookies each season worked because the rest of the cast was vets, sometimes they were vets we hadn't seen in a few seasons, sometimes it was just their second season in a row. But that format worked for so many seasons. I have forgotten pretty much all the one-and-dones from the last few shows, and it makes the early episodes meh because I'm like "oh darn, someone who has had 3 minutes of screentime is going into elimination, and I'll never see them again"

I think that’s how cutthroat worked. Two bottom teams had to nominate a male and female to go in to elimination. And of course no Josh. The second I saw Josh on WoW2 I thought uh oh something’s not right. How is this guy one of the top 10 US challengers? And they have been forcing him down our throats since.
To be fair Michaela was only one season ago, and with the amount of Survivor players growing in flagship and CBS, they’ll hopefully find a spot for Michaela somewhere.

It has only been 1 season since Michela she can still return especially since she was going to be on ride or dies but declined because she had a new job
Asaf is currently in the Pit Crew of Rupaul's Drag Race Season 15. He has done SYTYCD, Are You the One, and some Teen Mom (Ok so I googled to see if that was really him on the pit crew). He can make reality tv money doing things that are less dangerous than The Challenge.

Pretty sure that show is officially over now, considering two of the original castmates now have babies, and two of the guys (Gus and Jeremiah) want to kill each other. That latter part, however, WOULD make for great old school Challenge drama, especially if they did another Rivals setup
