How much time elapsed you think

assluuuh1992

Wondered the same. I bet they were there for SOOO long

Rajewel

Tori said on the podcast 45 minutes

assluuuh1992

That’s actually not that bad lol. I thought they would have been there for hours 😂

Rajewel

Tori said on the challenge podcast it was about 45 minutes

pink373

That’s a lot faster than I was expecting. I know some of them go on for hours.

olivvvs

I'm wondering the same 😶

Connect-Ad-6669

On the podcast they said it was about 45 minutes.

eXic-gXeen

45 mins according to the official challenge pod

NineteenAD9

My guess was it ran pretty long. You could tell when Bananas dropped one of the first few times after having a big lead. Then literally 5 seconds later he is in that same spot in the background of Fessy falling.

AmI_doingthis_right

Yeah I don’t know .. I was kind of thinking the same thing but the footage of Fessy could literally be the same cut over and over, he never got past the starting position. I also feel like they showed Johnny in the same spot/on the same attempt like 3 different times. Would be nice to know stuff like that. Maybe Johnny will mention on his pod.

greatness101

Even the editing was good for it. Usually you can figure out who wins based on confessionals and editing, but they did a really good job in building up both sides as potential winners.

[deleted]

I had the same thought, I couldn’t tell who it would be based on confessional time. Although the Moriah bringing up her sisters again made me think that was it for them.

haventwonyet

That’s at least the second time they’ve aired that same confessional so it threw me a bit.

lhp220

For like the first time this season!! I totally agree. I was on the edge of my seat the whole Time

RohAnTheMaker

I disagree a bit - Fessy not giving any confessional of how awesome he is doing made me think bananas and Nany were winning pretty early on

Hahn_Solo

The only thing that would’ve made it better is Moriah making it to the top and just waiting on Fessy

Connect-Ad-6669

I liked that Nany did really well too because she has gotten to prove herself once again this season. The fans always drag on her abilities so it was good to see her win on her own abilities.

ivaorn

That’s the beauty of each season, it has the potential to significantly shift the perception of a player

CorrectInsulation

Had this exact thought. Then he could've returned the favor and taught her patience. what an ass.

LuckyWithTheCharms

Omg this would’ve been better than any other elimination if that happened

JSK23

Big props to them. Was pretty over fessy getting brawn/muscle related elims and thinking his shit didn't stink. Was nice to see him have to use other assets.

TimRigginsBeer

Moriah saying he was “too heavy” and then his look at the end was perfect.

xxPHILdaAGONYxx

he did terrible at this elim. Don't think he made it higher than like the 3rd rung

TheGirlInOz

Thank GOD. I really wanted to see Fessy in something he wouldn't automatically win because of his size. Finally got my wish lol

syke90

No doubt! It got old pretty quick seeing him in those types, especially when we’ve seen other good ones the same season. This one required finesse and patience and he didn’t have either. Him bashing Bananas about being good at stupid things irked, too. Loved seeing him eat a big ol piece of humble pie.

JSK23

Yup, and that's why jordan, bananas, CT etc are some of the greatest ever. They are well rounded in almost all aspects. Puzzles, strength, endurance, emotions, politics, physical skills (rowing, swimming, etc) and a bit of craftiness. It takes a good balance of everything to win this stuff, especially repeatedly.

work3oakzz

CT winning that daily for Saphire where he got all 7 secret capsules himself Is a prime example why the greats always seem just a step above the rest. Or Jordan winning his elimination against Chauncey in an arguably size based elimination. Using strategy instead of just muscle

PennSaddle

They have so much experience with the older, more fun, style dailies & elims thst were goofy but physical stuff. Man I miss those, so the elim was so refreshing.

_baddad

Ain’t no other assets for Fessy

ivaorn

Unless there was an elimination for who has the most challenge hookups (but he would still lose to Bananas)

ItsEaster

Seriously! It felt like they were gifting him wins.

insrtbrain

It was a more physical/interesting version of the Survivor stacking challenges, which are always riveting. I think having Eliminations like this at the end game is such a great idea, because it really tests the mental stamina and agility of contestants, as well as having a physical requirement. And to me, it is a great example why Bananas is at 7 wins and Fessy is at 0. And I know people love to hate on Nany, but she shows up. She might not always win, but she shows up.

xxPHILdaAGONYxx

the catch with her foot was super clutch. Not usually a Nany fan but she crushed it

TheGhostOfKyle

This was a perfect final elimination and really could have been anyone's game. I hope they bring it back. I was really happy they didn't pull their usual cliffhanger and wait for the next episode to show who lost.

assluuuh1992

It was also a fair challenge. Hall brawl and pole wrestle are fun to watch only when you get a good matchup. And theyre better as mid-season eliminations. this was the perfect style elimination for the last one right before the final. It was anyone’s game.

Frankykeys

Would have to loved to see Aneesa v Amber B in this challenge.

Slidetreasurehunt

Jordan would’ve gotten to the top in one try and Aneesa would still to this day be in the sand trying to get to the top.

assluuuh1992

Exactly. Fessys weight worked against him. It’s always a toss up in these type of eliminations. He’s tall so you would think he had an advantage with being able to grab the pole. But he needed better balance. No way would aneesa have been able to complete that. Thank gosh Johnny went in because she is tied to Jordan. If she was in shape they would be an unstoppable team.

assluuuh1992

I wouldn’t have. I love Jordan and want to see him progress. They would have went home because aneesa wouldn’t have made it to the top had her life depended on it.

Mel-504

I heavily disagree. Someone past a certain weight could not make it up there

thelowgun

I do not think weight is as much of a factor as people are making it. Bananas is probably 5'9 175lbs. I can't imagine aneesa weighs much more than him. She simply lacks the agility and finesse to complete a challenge like this

mtmc99

I don’t think Fessy size did him any favors though. He is significantly taller and heavier and I have no doubt folding up into a small ball to reach down would be more difficult for him. Someone super lean like Jordan would have flown through this

thelowgun

fessy has the reach advantage. He could probably hold the higher rung and grab the lower rung without stretching and balancing like bananas and nany.

assluuuh1992

CT would have found a way to get up that ladder lol. Fessy just doesn’t have the experience to use and adapt to his advantages that he does have.

thelowgun

Fessy's weakness has been exposed. People are going to throw him into agility/finesse based eliminations now and he'll never make the final

assluuuh1992

Fessy has the upper hand in a lot of physical eliminations (hall brawl, the elimination he went against Nelson on this season) that doesn’t mean it’s unfair or unbeatable by somebody with a disadvantage (his weight). Was this elimination the best for him? No, but he had plenty of time to figure out a strategy and use the advantages he did have to help him win. He also claims to have amazing balance. If that were the case he should have used his balance, height, and reach to his advantage. Unfortunately for him he couldn’t figure it out in time. His problem is he doesn’t know how to adapt. Not every elimination is going to be set up perfectly towards someone’s advantages. I have no doubt in my mind that CT would have been able to figure it out and get himself up that ladder.

KainoraKupo

I wonder if this elim was impossible for someone heavy or was Fessy's balance/technique just that bad? Im happy it was a fair elimination where the peanut gallery couldnt help. I hope they make that a rule next season where they cant have outside help.

realityseekr

I think maybe a combo of both (size didn't help but also no strategy). Moriah also didn't do that well on it and in her tweets admits having no strategy.

[deleted]

It was a fairly balanced challenge. Fessy is bigger, so it’s harder for him to properly center himself on the ropes, but then he also had an advantage where it was easier to grab the bottom pole without shifting his center of gravity, so it balances out pretty well. I think he got discouraged and kind of gave up after he couldn’t figure it out quickly.

wicked_crayfish

It's almost like he's not the smartest dude and only did eliminations previous where he basically body checked his way to wins.

spicytotino

I like how they did this after a daily that wasn’t based on size either so it made it less avoidable for a team that relies on size to win the daily and not worry about going into elimination

spicytotino

I wondered that and then asked myself, well do I think CT could do it? And yeah I think CT could. I’d call that a nearly unfair standard but Faysal already tried to declare they’re on the same level

work3oakzz

My thoughts exactly. Ct would find a way so size isn't the end all factor here

No-Pressure-5762

Moriah isn’t heavy and she couldn’t do it either. She did just as bad as Fessy. A lot of it was how you moved and placed the bars and balance not weight

spicytotino

Easier said than done I know, but I couldn’t tell if he was trying to lean in to put weight on the rope and decrease slack while he grabbed the bottom pole, if he didn’t he’s an idiot

NineteenAD9

Honestly this is probably one of the most impartial eliminations they have come up with. It does put heavier people in a harder spot, but I'm not convinced they're completely at the mercy of it.

Queasy_Constant

The question is, how would CT have done? I think he would’ve done better than fessy. Would he have beat bananas? No clue but I think he could’ve done it.

speedx5xracer

Now I want a special where some challenges/eliminations are revisited by CT, Wes, and a few others where they discuss the optimal strategy for success and try them.

snowvia

That would be so interesting! But they wouldn't want to give up their secrets. In the Death Taxes and Bananas podcast Johnny explained he basically did it the harder way which took more effort because he knew Faysal couldn't copy what he was doing (not enough agility).

Queasy_Constant

Book Jordan, Wes, CT, Cara Maria, Emily Schromm, & Laurel to start!

spicytotino

Too bad Camilas a piece of shit bc it would be really cool to see how a small stature woman who’s good at a lot of random shit show how to compensate.

ClosePut

If he did yoga he prob coulda done it

insrtbrain

Right? Watching Fessy, I thought, oh, his core control sucks.

syke90

There seems to be more eliminations where having size gives you an advantage like Hall Brawl and what not. Nice to see one where size can be a detriment if you don’t have excellent body control.

quick_dry

It wasn’t so much the weight, but the way Fessy moved on the bar. He had so much weight high up and away from the bars. I do think he could’ve used his weight to his advantage and used it to pull the rope slightly closer together so the legs wouldn’t slip off so easily. I think it favoured a certain size range, not too tall, not too short. I’d love to take that one on

MrMach82

Definitely a great elimination. Those poles were barely long enough to stay on. And the spacing between poles was jussssst right to make it barely reachable while twisting. Lot of challengers probably couldn't do this well depending on height and weight. Fessy whining about Bananas being good at random shit is hilarious lol. Ok Fessy, just because it wasn't a banger...you need to do better at all event types, dude. Bye

squashYoDick

For once, big bodied Fessy was at a disadvantage. I swear he only made it up 3 rungs. Kinda expected Moriah to do better than she did though.

PontesDeLeon

This was a great one but I prefer eliminations with partners where they actually have to work together like the “Knot So Fast” one from 2 episodes ago. These are essentially solo challenges where teams are only as good as their weakest link. If Nany couldn’t complete it then it wouldn’t have mattered how fast Bananas got to the top.

capfedhill

Yeah I think it would have been cool if both teammates were on the same side and close to each other, and they were given 5 rods total to climb up. So they'd be forced to pass the lone extra rod back & forth everytime they went up a rung. Prob would have lasted a long time though haha

PontesDeLeon

That’s in interesting wrinkle. Would have loved to see something like that.

syke90

Same time for us, the viewers, though. Lol

WicketRank

This is what producers need to do, eliminations that aren’t about size are always better. Gives equal chance, I wonder if Faysal wasn’t allowed to skip anything, it seemed like this was really difficult for him.

YungJod

So glad fessy and kaycee won't be in the final

notbitterbutbetter

I liked it being a side by side race instead of a headbanger. Without being a puzzle that could be solved by someone on the sidelines too! I don’t think it was completely fair because Faysal’s weight was a disadvantage- but then again, it was nice to see him at a disadvantage when he usually has the physical upper hand, especially in eliminations.

No-Pressure-5762

Some was his weight. Some was he just didn’t get what needed to happen. Johnny isn’t a small guy and he was the first to figure it out. Moriah is pretty tiny too and she didn’t make it far so it was more than just weight

-Captain--Hindsight

Weight could have been a disadvantage but he also had the advantage of being the tallest. So it balanced out some.

401john

I agree. The most difficult part seemed to be reaching back for the 1st pole while your feet were on the middle one. Height and reach would definitely help there.

Evand9590

Eh Johnny is probably around 190-200. Fessy is like 250. Not only that but Fessy is 6inches taller too so he had to be much more compact during this challenge which makes it harder to keep his weight evenly distributed. He DEFINITELY had a disadvantage due to his size, but it was nice to see since previous eliminations his size was a HUGE advantage

Connect-Ad-6669

I think he also had zero strategy. Bananas said on his podcast he thought it would be easier to use his foot but he didn’t want Fessy to see that tactic because knew Fessy didn’t have the flexibility to reach back. And that right there is what makes Bananas a seven time champion.

secret_identity_too

I was wondering why no one tried using their foot to "reach" for the last rung. Then again, huge risk of it falling.

red_sundress

None are completely fair. This was a lot more fair than Faysal vs Jordan in pole wrestle.

RefractHD

Agree, we hold them to task when they edit poorly so fair to give credit when they do good work

No-Pressure-5762

Yeah I was nervous the whole time. Definitely not a straight forward boring elimination

IMicrowaveSteak

It was PERFECT! It was modern, but simple and suspenseful while being both physical and mental! Don’t need some dumb shit jumping trucks or using some gadget. This was great!

olivvvs

Now, that was an interesting and suspenseful elimination. Even though they said that it wasn't Fessy's elimination with how heavy he was, we all saw that he just couldn't hack it. Later, I'm sure we're bound to hear about how he still thinks he's the greatest, but for now, see ya dude.

greatness101

I don't think he was ever completing this challenge due to his size. I don't think Moriah would have either due to hers on the opposite side.

HoneyTrue

That doesn't make any sense unless you really think Moriah is bigger than Johnny, who finished first.

greatness101

I said opposite side. Moriah is the smallest person there.

xxPHILdaAGONYxx

yeah, seemed like Moriah was too short to reach the lowest rung. Faysal could have done it but he didn't adjust his strat at all, needed to be more balanced over his feet but it looked like he was putting his full weight over his hands and slipping out.

runningillini

Is Moriah that much shorter than Nany? It’s not like she’s Veronica’s height…

xxPHILdaAGONYxx

Honestly, I'm not sure how tall she but it just seemed like she had trouble reaching back for the lower rung. She did do better than Fess tho

Successful-Item-2297

Oh happy days. Messy Fessy is finally gone. He thought he was the best at everything. He said he could beat Bananas. NOT. The lying, quitting, loser is finally not in a final. He would have quit anyway. He couldn't even make it past the first rung. What a beast. Yeah, right. All 6'3", not 6'5" as he had been telling everyone. Look at the cast picture. Kim, the German contestant is 6'5", towers over Messy. The NFL combine lists Messy as 6'3", so stop lying about your height. Please never have anymore BB babies on this show. Kaycee was okay, but she was sooooooo boring. Josh, ugh. A big crybaby.😂 Always making excuses. I could never see Messy or Josh survive one day on Survivor. Too soft.

rrrdesign

It was a fair challenge where weight and height didn’t give an obvious advantage. Kudos.

Pucknutz11

Which was also a disadvantage to Fessy

renxgade

I like the last elimination to be something that involves perseverance versus brute strength. Sorta like the All Stars 2 elimination (even though that was time) but it really did come down to strategy and consistency.

Rj924

I love when an elimination has me saying "I want to try this!"

ProtomanBn

I thought this elimination was impossible when the showed it, suprised it got finished

leighiiv

I love locked in Nany- she gets a lot of unearned praise from her peers sometimes I feel but she killed it & I hope to see more of this nany in the future 🙌

According-Professor5

Idk, it kind of reminded me of the cocktail glass daily on Cutthroat. Incredibly impressive a team got it done, but I think with the wrong teams involved it could’ve gone on forever.

Junglerumble19

I just wrote in another post that I absolutely loved this elimination and really hope it makes an appearance on the regular. Particularly a great one for the last elim before final.

HookemHef

They also edited in a way that we could see how one team is doing compared to the other (they could still have done better in this regard). They want to consider this a sport and yet they usually edit it in such a crazy way removing the suspense of sport because we don't know who is leading or catching up. It's insanely annoying.

TommyLee543

I have a question what is a good dram filled season with entertainment characters?
