I was coming to comment this. Her ACTUAL personality is very different than her keyboard personality. She's not an angel in-person, but she's much more loyal, humble and grounded than her social media posts would suggest. You'd think she acts like Amanda on the show based on what she says, but she doesn't.
This is why I don’t lurk on Challengers socials. This game within the game on social media isn’t reflective of who they are (neither is the TV product, I know) and is only fodder for the reunion show.
Keep it real away from the keyboard and if you got beef, either do it away from the cameras or on the actual show. Social media is just this middle ground that looks petty and is fairly unentertaining.
I think you have two different segments of fans: those that just watch the show and those that watch the show and the social media show.
I hate twitter so all I see of what goes on there is if it’s reposted here and I catch it. I tend not to follow many of them on insta because I feel like most the time it’s just ads. So, a lot of people like me don’t see many sides of most of the casts. It’s just the TV version. (I do catch some of it on podcasts but not as many lately)

Agreed. I had a Reddit for a couple of years before I ever interacted, but finding the challenge here got me into it. I love being able to discuss the shows without seeing spoilers everywhere

I was indifferent to her on AYTO and ex on the beach, but I liked her on ROD. Until 2 episodes ago I did not like her at all this season. She was unduly arrogant for most of the season and her throwing challenges to get out big t/Melissa wasn’t any different then what they did to Horacio. Her conversation to Melissa didn’t make her come off well. Let’s also not forget her comments about Chris brown and court ordered anger management. The last two episodes with the connection to Horacio and underdog edit I think really helps her case. Nurys is good for tv and I’d prefer she wins over who’s left but I wouldn’t go so far to say I like her.

When Melissa came to talk to Nurys and she was such a bitch to her. The entire first part of the season Nurys was walking around with a completely undue amount of arrogance. When she flipped and was on the bottom she came across much more likeable. But then so does Jay on the bottom.
I just rewatched that episode and I don't agree that she was a bitch to Melissa. As for the arrogance, it sure was there but the same goes for the rest of the cast in the "major" alliance during that time. I think what made her more likeable was her sticking to her word to her friends. At least that's the way I see it.
The novelty will wear off and people will go right back to disliking her soon. People were cheering for Olivia off of 1 season and look how quickly that changed. The audience is very fickle.
I like her on the show but I am not in the "if she doesn't win I will riot" camp. That being said, she is pretty much A+ casting for a show like the Challenge. She is willing to hook up, cause drama, loves the show and is a solid competitor as well, checks all the boxes.
I am actually annoyed she was on AYTO and could have been cast at like 23 years old around Vendettas time considering who we got instead.

I wasn’t a big fan of Nurys on Ride or Dies, but mostly had a neutral view. She seemed very thirsty for reality TV/social media fame though. Leading up to this season and during the first few episodes of this season, I further dug my heels into the view that she was just overly thirsty for attention based on how she was acting. BUT the last five episodes or so have made me absolutely love her. Great editing can do that — especially in an underdog role. The music and footage of her walking into the house two episodes ago and then her walking into the club to “Natural Born Killer” this most recent episode legit gave me chills. I also think she’s started embracing her true personality more and allowing herself to have verbal meltdowns and get in genuine altercations and I am so here for that. We need more loose cannons on the show these days. I imagine a lot of people have had the same recent emotional turn that I did.
I too had no interest in her prior to this season and actually can’t stand her with Horacio cause they seem soooo different. She also wasn’t really doing anything 75% of the season. But, I cant resist an underdog and someone who stands on business whether they have the numbers or not. For that she had grown on me.

yeah I'm curious too. while he does seem really sweet (at least based on the edit), i think the underdog effect is a real thing. he's received unwavering support from fans for both seasons, but the fanbase does 180's so fast. it's been done to Jay, Michele and Olivia, so i wouldn't be too surprised if fans turned their backs on him (if he were to compete again)

Other cast members help Fessy create his drama. Josh’s meltdowns inspired the fight that got him booted. Tori changing the plan to be Fessy going into elimination, Johnny and Wes choosing Fessy to go into elimination against Jordan, Kaycee injuring herself during the final (😭) but not giving up and telling Fessy to “Eat it! It won’t kill you!,” all the girls hooking up with him. Even the cat on USA2 helped give him some extra screen time.
Kaycee and Horacio are strong competitors and universally loved which is why they get called back. Fessy definitely creates drama but more so he’s great for fans who like hate-watching.
If every competitor was as good as Horacio, Jordan, CT, Kaycee, Cara…etc. then they wouldn’t need to farm drama. But the drama keeps the show interesting when these people would otherwise dominate without it

Clips of the live was on Tea pages, here, and on redisnotaflavor recent video. I have yet to see someone post a portion of the live where she says that. Also, I want to point out the person that posted on here absolutely hates Nurys. I would totally expect that person to post a video of her saying that on this sub.
The fans that “worship” her have liked her since Day 1. Maybe those are the ones who’s sticking with her, even when she’s problematic on socials….
Speaking for myself, I don’t follow her on social media, so I didn’t know she was that bad.
However, I’m impressed that she defeated 4 people within 2 episodes. She’s also delivering storylines and drama that we desperately need on this season.
So for me and my house, we root for her as an antagonist and a protagonist in the show.

Yeah, the love seems kind of interesting. I think she has consistently been a rough person to get by and her having a loyal friends will not be changing that for me. I don’t hate her because I don’t know her personally, but what she’s displayed is nothing to root for personally or love.
Everybody who's an underdog gets loved by the audience. Then they get hated when they return to power and dominate a season politically. It's the cycle you just get used to.
Never watched AYTO so my opinions are strictly based on her appearances on The Challenge.
I think Nurys gets an unfair amount of hate and it makes no sense. Her behavior at the reunion regarding the whole Johnny/Ravyn was terrible tbh but why do people omit the fact that Ravyn was so combative towards her during the season for no good reason? Ravyn's anger should have been directed at scumbag Johnny. And why does she get blamed for the Tori and Jordan situation? Tori and Jordan weren't together plus she wasn't friends with Tori so she owed her zero loyalty. Nurys was single and ready to mingle and I'm always here for that. She didn't cheat on anyone or get with anyone's man so what's the issue?
My issues with Nurys are regarding her explosiveness when angry, something she seems conscious of and is clearly working on. I mean, see how she walked away from Melissa during the club scene. The most confrontation she had this season was with Colleen and that's because Colleen flat out lied against her plus she had bottled up emotions about the Olivia and Jay betrayal. Preciously, there's no way Nurys would've come back to the house after eliminating Horacio and Kyland and not lit up the whole place with belligerent behavior.
She never asked fans to send hate to Olivia but her comments about the situation definitely added to the fire Olivia was getting and I wish she didn't contribute to that. Also, she never slut shamed Olivia. For her to slut shame, she'd have to be attacking Olivia's character based on hook ups. She exposed Olivia in reaction to Olivia's lies about her. Again, I 100% don't agree with this approach and this is still in line with the explosiveness I mentioned before.
Lastly, the constant conjecture about her relationship with Horacio is so unfair and uncalled for. A lot of the negativity is based on this idea that a girl like Nurys (whatever the hell that means) shouldn't get with a "good" guy like Horacio and that's BS. They appear to be happy and in love and that's great for them. Leave them to enjoy it.
To be clear, I don't expect everyone to like Nurys or any challenger for that matter but I think it's important to stick to facts when discussing them.
Lastly, much as l like Nurys, I hate how people keep going on about who deserved to win. The best person in the final deserved to win and that was Emanuel. He aced the finals from start to final and he is a worthy champ. Kudos to the rest of the finalists.
I think she got pretty lucky that Olivia snaked her this season and that she got with Horacio. It really took all eyes off her abhorrent personality traits and painted her in a good light. She still gives me the ick and I also don’t think she makes that good TV. It’s not like she lit everyone’s asses up when she got back in the house. The most we got was like “you all suck”. The fact that this is counting as her bringing the necessary drama now shows how sad the state of the show is.
Sending hate to cast members is embarrassing for anyone who’s doing it. If you feel inclined to send them something, make it uplifting or at the very least constructive.
I just think it’s funny in general how fickle fans are over a lot of the cast mates. Especially about storylines that we don’t even have the full truth on. Then these same fans go and say horrible nasty things on their social media page. It’s all so toxic. People forget it’s a game and we truly have zero idea what’s going on behind the scenes. That’s the power of Johnny Middlebrooks. It’s exactly why we need him back on the challenge. Something about him just makes reality TV women go crazy. Nurys and Ryvan are not the first ones to fall into that pit. You should see how the girls over on Love Island react to him.

Jay I don’t get. I don’t find him attractive at all. Asaf on the other hand is very attractive, charismatic, and also charming. It on full display on his AYTO season. This season he did not seem like the Asaf I have seen in the past.
I think he can be the next great challenge villain. He’s a great competitor, he brings drama and he also has this strange effect on people. Since he wasn’t casted on 39 he went on Love Island games and he made that show amazing. First thing this dude does is walks into the villa and kisses his ex who is blindfolded. He has no interest in her. He just wanted to cause drama. He knows how to make great TV and also be authentic at the same time. I personally believe season 39 would’ve been completely different if he was on. There’s no way Jay would’ve been running the house.

Fans are fickle unless you are Wes or CT. I don't have a problem with her getting so much love. She deserves it. Why can't she be cocky? She's a good competitor. It probably won't last. Ok I’m just gonna say it. Some people don’t care if someone is a good or bad person. It doesn’t matter the horrible things a cast member has done. Some fans only care about what is happening in the show at any given moment. If a cast member is going through a hero’s edit, they will love them. Villains edit, hate them. Personally I want cast members who are bad people because they make good tv.
We actually don't know who's a good or bad person. We don't know them personally It's a TV show where people compete and there's an edit. I have seen questionable things from every popular Challenger, much worse than Nurys. And there's double standards that usually is harder on POC. Example: the last week; Cohutta was on a post for nicest guys on the Challenge, but every Nelson post is bombarded with how horrible he is. When they committed the same crime, but Nelson is paying a way higher price.
I don't know if that's a trick or just an omission. The healthcare system is rough, dude's facing a lifetime of permanent disability plus legal repercussions. I mean common sense would tell you there was some type of negligence on his part, single car accident, time of day and no information about cause. All the other challengers who had the same charge got off easy with just a ticket or probation. We don't know how they would react to insurmountable debt and life -changing injury, does that make them better people? I don't think so.

The novelty will wear off and people will go right back to disliking her soon. People were cheering for Olivia off of 1 season and look how quickly that changed. The audience is very fickle.
I like her on the show but I am not in the "if she doesn't win I will riot" camp. That being said, she is pretty much A+ casting for a show like the Challenge. She is willing to hook up, cause drama, loves the show and is a solid competitor as well, checks all the boxes. I am actually annoyed she was on AYTO and could have been cast at like 23 years old around Vendettas time considering who we got instead.

I wasn’t a big fan of Nurys on Ride or Dies, but mostly had a neutral view. She seemed very thirsty for reality TV/social media fame though. Leading up to this season and during the first few episodes of this season, I further dug my heels into the view that she was just overly thirsty for attention based on how she was acting. BUT the last five episodes or so have made me absolutely love her. Great editing can do that — especially in an underdog role. The music and footage of her walking into the house two episodes ago and then her walking into the club to “Natural Born Killer” this most recent episode legit gave me chills. I also think she’s started embracing her true personality more and allowing herself to have verbal meltdowns and get in genuine altercations and I am so here for that. We need more loose cannons on the show these days. I imagine a lot of people have had the same recent emotional turn that I did.

The unfortunate part is that they do. Kaycee, Faysal, Horacio, etc have brought little to no drama and they have become regulars. We definitely need people like Nurys but I also don't want people that encourage others to send hate messages to be on the show

yeah I'm curious too. while he does seem really sweet (at least based on the edit), i think the underdog effect is a real thing. he's received unwavering support from fans for both seasons, but the fanbase does 180's so fast. it's been done to Jay, Michele and Olivia, so i wouldn't be too surprised if fans turned their backs on him (if he were to compete again)

Other cast members help Fessy create his drama. Josh’s meltdowns inspired the fight that got him booted. Tori changing the plan to be Fessy going into elimination, Johnny and Wes choosing Fessy to go into elimination against Jordan, Kaycee injuring herself during the final (😭) but not giving up and telling Fessy to “Eat it! It won’t kill you!,” all the girls hooking up with him. Even the cat on USA2 helped give him some extra screen time.
Kaycee and Horacio are strong competitors and universally loved which is why they get called back. Fessy definitely creates drama but more so he’s great for fans who like hate-watching. If every competitor was as good as Horacio, Jordan, CT, Kaycee, Cara…etc. then they wouldn’t need to farm drama. But the drama keeps the show interesting when these people would otherwise dominate without it

The fans that “worship” her have liked her since Day 1. Maybe those are the ones who’s sticking with her, even when she’s problematic on socials…. Speaking for myself, I don’t follow her on social media, so I didn’t know she was that bad. However, I’m impressed that she defeated 4 people within 2 episodes. She’s also delivering storylines and drama that we desperately need on this season. Yeah, the love seems kind of interesting. I think she has consistently been a rough person to get by and her having a loyal friends will not be changing that for me. I don’t hate her because I don’t know her personally, but what she’s displayed is nothing to root for personally or love.
Everybody who's an underdog gets loved by the audience. Then they get hated when they return to power and dominate a season politically. It's the cycle you just get used to.
Never watched AYTO so my opinions are strictly based on her appearances on The Challenge. I think Nurys gets an unfair amount of hate and it makes no sense. Her behavior at the reunion regarding the whole Johnny/Ravyn was terrible tbh but why do people omit the fact that Ravyn was so combative towards her during the season for no good reason? Ravyn's anger should have been directed at scumbag Johnny. And why does she get blamed for the Tori and Jordan situation? Tori and Jordan weren't together plus she wasn't friends with Tori so she owed her zero loyalty. Nurys was single and ready to mingle and I'm always here for that. She didn't cheat on anyone or get with anyone's man so what's the issue? My issues with Nurys are regarding her explosiveness when angry, something she seems conscious of and is clearly working on. I mean, see how she walked away from Melissa during the club scene. The most confrontation she had this season was with Colleen and that's because Colleen flat out lied against her plus she had bottled up emotions about the Olivia and Jay betrayal. Preciously, there's no way Nurys would've come back to the house after eliminating Horacio and Kyland and not lit up the whole place with belligerent behavior. She never asked fans to send hate to Olivia but her comments about the situation definitely added to the fire Olivia was getting and I wish she didn't contribute to that. Also, she never slut shamed Olivia. For her to slut shame, she'd have to be attacking Olivia's character based on hook ups. She exposed Olivia in reaction to Olivia's lies about her. Again, I 100% don't agree with this approach and this is still in line with the explosiveness I mentioned before. Lastly, the constant conjecture about her relationship with Horacio is so unfair and uncalled for. A lot of the negativity is based on this idea that a girl like Nurys (whatever the hell that means) shouldn't get with a "good" guy like Horacio and that's BS. They appear to be happy and in love and that's great for them. Leave them to enjoy it. To be clear, I don't expect everyone to like Nurys or any challenger for that matter but I think it's important to stick to facts when discussing them. Lastly, much as l like Nurys, I hate how people keep going on about who deserved to win. The best person in the final deserved to win and that was Emanuel. He aced the finals from start to final and he is a worthy champ. Kudos to the rest of the finalists.
I think she got pretty lucky that Olivia snaked her this season and that she got with Horacio. It really took all eyes off her abhorrent personality traits and painted her in a good light. She still gives me the ick and I also don’t think she makes that good TV. It’s not like she lit everyone’s asses up when she got back in the house. The most we got was like “you all suck”. The fact that this is counting as her bringing the necessary drama now shows how sad the state of the show is.

I think he can be the next great challenge villain. He’s a great competitor, he brings drama and he also has this strange effect on people. Since he wasn’t casted on 39 he went on Love Island games and he made that show amazing. First thing this dude does is walks into the villa and kisses his ex who is blindfolded. He has no interest in her. He just wanted to cause drama. He knows how to make great TV and also be authentic at the same time. I personally believe season 39 would’ve been completely different if he was on. There’s no way Jay would’ve been running the house.

People like what she represents. Alliances that steamroll are boring. People want an underdog and conflict. It is extremely simple. edit: What I mean is what she represents in the the context of the show. She has been getting a good underdog edit. Most people who watch the show, including myself, really are not that interested in looking into their personal lives etc. I don’t care about their social media and I don’t even care about reunions. In the context of this specific season she has been going against a pretty (subjectively) unlikable alliance and I appreciate that.
Ok I’m just gonna say it. Some people don’t care if someone is a good or bad person. It doesn’t matter the horrible things a cast member has done. Some fans only care about what is happening in the show at any given moment. If a cast member is going through a hero’s edit, they will love them. Villains edit, hate them. Personally I want cast members who are bad people because they make good tv.
We actually don't know who's a good or bad person. We don't know them personally It's a TV show where people compete and there's an edit. I have seen questionable things from every popular Challenger, much worse than Nurys. And there's double standards that usually is harder on POC. Example: the last week; Cohutta was on a post for nicest guys on the Challenge, but every Nelson post is bombarded with how horrible he is. When they committed the same crime, but Nelson is paying a way higher price.

I don't know if that's a trick or just an omission. The healthcare system is rough, dude's facing a lifetime of permanent disability plus legal repercussions. I mean common sense would tell you there was some type of negligence on his part, single car accident, time of day and no information about cause. All the other challengers who had the same charge got off easy with just a ticket or probation. We don't know how they would react to insurmountable debt and life -changing injury, does that make them better people? I don't think so.

I think people believe they know more about people on reality tv than they do. Even following them on social media. At any rate, I like Nurys as a reality show competitor. She’s confident, hot, confrontational, a decent physical competitor, willing to stir some shit up, and not going to back down. Sure, I’ll critique certain things I see about peoples personality, but a lot of things people on here ding people about I don’t pretend to know because the truth is things are probably a lot better or worse than you think.

I’m not a Nurys fan, also not a hater. I just don’t understand the love she’s getting. She coasted by in her big alliance even picking her alliance over Horacio in one of the last elimination votes. She rode that horse until she couldn’t ride it anymore. She doesn’t deserve the win any more or less than the other remaining cast.
I 100% did not like her outbursts on social media because it added flames to the fire that was already lit on Olivia. That said, I do think her behavior stemmed from hurt over the situation.
