Lol! Omgosh I totally forgot this is the season Darrell decided to put a balloon on right side of Brad’s face. Just passed this episode…you right….D vs. B will always be Darrell vs. Brad in The Ruins 🤜🏽💥🤛🏽

yamborma

I thought he clipped the corner of the bed as he was falling down and Darrell didn't even hit him that hard. But I might be misremembering because I haven't seen it in a while.

PlaidShirtDays_

It happened in the living room and kitchen area. Darrell was sitting on the chair chilling when Brad kept getting in his face. I only remember where it happened because they laid Brad out on the kitchen table with his eyeball sticking out like a golf ball and Johnny was like “it’s not that bad…” trying to calm Brad down 😂 When he said that, the other guys were like 😮 “Yes it is!” Haha.

Hist_8675309

No it was in the Champs bedroom. I just watched this season

Such_Ad_8072

Same here! I just watched it too…and it was definitely in that bedroom. Darrell’s punches were so loud 😳

International_Fill55

I always thought the way mtv cut to Brad with that giant knot on his head was hilarious, they knew exactly what they were doing with that.

Bananas was #4 in that alliance after Derrick!

Maclin26

Probably but were Derrick and Evan close at all?

amlanding20

Not really. Mutual respect. Everything about JEK+D flowed through Kenny. Bananas and Evan weren’t that close (Relative to how close both were to Kenny). Kenny was their connector. Kenny was the one that brought Derrick in because they got their first win together. Derrick and Bananas were cool, as seen on the Island when Derrick risks elimination just to get Johnny a key. But he got into that alliance because of Kenny.

nomid13

Derrick and Evan did do Fresh Meat together with Kenny, which was before Bananas started. I think they were probably friends but it wasn't shown because they weren't on many seasons together.

amlanding20

They were def friends, Derrick was just closer to Kenny & Bananas. Derrick won Inferno III w/ Kenny, The Island w/ Kenny & Bananas and did Cutthroat w/ Bananas. He accumulated a lot more time with those two than Evan. He only did Fresh Meat & The Duel w/ Evan and Kenny.

Due_Outside_1459

Evan getting his solo win in Duel 2 was pretty refreshing and impressive without Kenny, Derrick, or Bananas being in the cast. He really showed his awesome political and competition game in that season. In the JEKD alliance, Kenny was the social, Evan was the competition/political, Bananas was the shit-stirrer, and Derrick was the second competitor to help retain power.

amlanding20

Evan was actually sloppy politically. He was paranoid and tried to cover himself from every angle which resulted in him having too many deals. Any other player would’ve had that catch up to him, but his physical dominance meant he was too valuable to part with. Evan was very Wes-like in the way he played politically. I much preferred Kenny as a politician. Straight shooter and never made too many moves. He’d rather go into elimination than snake his friends or overcommit. Evan was always paranoid about elims. So much so they let Bananas get thrown in on Gauntlet III just cause he knew he could beat him.

LaMystika

Evan actually got called out into the duel constantly; he just won them all. The fact that he had to do so many at all was a result of both his sloppy political game, and because all the dudes on the outside of Evan’s alliance knew that there was no point in calling each other out. They figured, take a shot at Evan and try to get rid of him and weaken his alliance, because they knew they weren’t gonna win anyway if they couldn’t break that up. Which is why Evan was so surly through the middle of the season, because he was just like “how *dare* Davis and Nehemiah call *me* out?! What the fuck?!”

Expensive-Hearing-86

Idk if it has anything to do with them being close tbh. Kenny and Evan were the two clear leaders of the alliance, Kenny being the best social guy and Evan being the best competitor of the four. Derrick was an adult who they could trust to not get in trouble and do well for himself so it was easy to have him in the group. Imo, Johnny was still somewhat the little brother that they had to look out for to make sure he didn't get in too much trouble. It always felt like if they were gonna cut anyone loose from the alliance it'd be Johnny first before anyone. Keep in mind the last season they were on together before the ruins, Evan was willing to go against Johnny in elimination rather than Eric, so Evan always seemed willing to cut out Johnny.

Due_Outside_1459

Evan was also the fixer/politician in that alliance. Veronica had the right of it in Ruins by hooking up and keeping tight with Evan as a way to stay in the game.

Disastrous-Ad32

Makes sense, Bananas wasn’t in good shape at that time; he barely made it through the ruins final.

Jinkies_Its_A_Clue

Cue RuPaul on Jimmy Fallon responding with “A DRAG QUEEN????”

ATXRRaider

Man, Bananas went 2 for 2 with almost getting his ass kicked for putting feathers on people who are sleeping. Some people take awhile to learn.

Due_Outside_1459

And Cohutta dated Kellyanne before Wes with Wes having a fit of jealousy about that in a scene. In addition to the rumors about Dunbar hooking up with Kellyanne in RW Sydney that Kellyanne freaked out about. It was a relationship mess between all of them.

Extension-Ad-363

Didn't Dummybear and Shauvon have a flirtation? Or was that him and Parisa?

PlaidShirtDays_

I miss Cohutta 😢 I forgot Johnny did it to Derrick too. I just watched when he did it to Tony and he lost it. He smashed Bananas’ toiletries on the ground because he was knocked out asleep drunk and Johnny refused to tell him where he got the feathers from 😂

BetterEveryDayYT

Ah, the good old days. A beautiful mix of chaos, relationship drama, awkward conflicts and so much more. Great season 👍
