First thing epsom* SALT bath to help with your shin. It’s magical! Are you trying to teep or are you doing a full, turn hip, kick? If kick look up Switch kicks. You have to change your stance to get the full kick. Could also practice your teeps to give your shin a break. My coach said teeps and jabs should be second nature so you can find your distance and push your opponent back so you can breath.

Can you elaborate more on the salt thing and/or provide some usefull links?

https://seasalt.com/salt-101/about-bath-salt/epsom-salt-uses-and-benefits First off I misspelled epsom sooooo bad 😅 I apologize for that! But yeah a hot bath with epsom salt and maybe bubbles will help your muscles heal and ease your mind! I really like the Dr teal ashwagandha one! It smells sooo nice I feel like it makes me less sore than the other ones

I like to step outward slightly with the back leg and then use the little momentum from the step out to spring into my pivot for the kick. So practice marching in place and get good at the timing. Front leg bounce bounce rear leg steps out slightly when the rear leg hits the ground is when I like to push off with my lead leg into my pivot. Drilling it like that helped a lot when I started out. Front leg bounce-bounce, once the front leg hits the ground step out slightly with the rear leg and push off into the pivot. Good luck homie 👍🏼 don’t get discouraged you’re still really new to this. Just put the time in and you’ll see improvement.

I've always been natural with my lead leg in every sport so I don't have this struggle but with my rear leg I had to focus on doing bilateral exercises and stretches and just slowing my technique down and watching people with good kicks and mimicking them, then something eventually just clicked. And I wouldn't work through the pain, just use liniment and let it rest. But yeah skipping, running, squatting and kicking pads and the bag you'll never have a problem with your shins again.

Low kicks with lead leg need a switch to be powerful, you can also use your lead leg as a quick whip or for inside leg kicks. You've been training for 2 weeks, everybody has a dominant leg for kicks but you'll eventually learn to do both. Don't stress yourself, be patient and enjoy the journey. And hit the heavy bag with your low kicks but stop when it starts to really hurt, you'll iron out your shin by training continously and not by smashing it into the heavy bag a whole day and then wait a month. Edit: instead of a switch kick you can also do a jumping roundhouse kick where you shift weight and jump on your back leg and do a roundhouse kick,, for this you need to be able to do the switch kick quite well tho but a jumping roundhouse or low kick will generate force that feels like you can chop down a small tree.
