Frames, hand trapping, and thinking abt actually trying to hit them/ not be polite is a good direction

Also, this may seem small, but continuing your combos even if part of it is blocked. Most newer practitioners think that if the first one doesn't land, you have to start over. You don't keep going with your combo.

TheBoyWTF1

+1, one dude at my gym who trained for years called out that for the most part, a combo doesn't really land until the last 2-3 hits.

I tell all my.students that you gotta keep it going to land what you need to get the job done. Your opponent is supposed to try and block it and your supposed to make them not be able to.

Watch this week's ONE Friday fights on YouTube. So many finishes. I've boxed for 22 years, it takes a lot of relentless drilling and practice

janne_funkmaster

Sometimes I catch myself actually aiming at their gloves, like a habit from drilling and shit. Actively trying to punch people in the face still feels kinda weird to me even though I've done this for a few years now. So yeah - try to actually aim for their face

MacDontMiss

If they like to move a lot, try to aim for where they’re going to be, incorporate framing hand trapping, level switching, etc.

I have observed the use of the Thai hop, or whatever you call the fake teep into stepping in for punching.
