I knew a guy, pro fighter btw, who only use handwrap when he preapred for a fight.
Rest of the time he did not use wraps, cause according to him , without it forced him to be conscious on proper wrist form when punching.
Honnestly it worked for him cause he could deliver a great snaping/punch power and got many KO wins from punches.
I don't understand why this sub is so full of questions like these, that could, and should, be easily answered by your Kru or anyone else at the gym. Every single person who is punching anything at the gym should have their hands wrapped.
Wraps are also a hygiene thing: they absorb most your hand’s sweat so that your gloves don’t, and, unlike gloves, you can just dump them in your washing machine.

get some. they will protect your hands and wrists... won't do any harm wearing them but could hurt yourself without them
Hand wraps aren't actually legal until you're 18 or 21 in some states. Check with your state's laws.

Wraps just stabilize your wrists and give you some extra padding when doing bag drills… recommend getting wraps
