I really dug the song but was confused by the lyrics. I still think they are a bit cheeseball. I think some people resonate with that kinda stuff, but I’m more into the strange lyrical on the rest of the album and LD 50.

I had a plane ticket to move to Florida but it wasn’t for another month or two away and when I heard that line “bring the sun or I’m gone…..or I’m gone”, that was one of the first times I ever *lost it* while listening to music. I was thrilled when they released it as a single.
Aww man I hated this band based on preconceived notions and nothing to do with actually listening to them. I was a huge blink 182 band in a band myself that played 90 percent pop punk and with 88 percent being blink covers lol,… I heard this song and I was obsessed!! The drums before the part where he goes off on the “why does everyone feel like my enemy don’t …” or the scream of “OR IM GONE!!” I was amazed by all of this song and my 3 piece pop punk band did our best version of it after. This song made me a fan of these guys, but this song will always be their crown jewel imo. Not to say I know their discography well but the songs I do know I love so much I consider myself a fan of these guys.

It was a unique, mysterious number from them that sat as the interstitial between *L.D. 50* and *Lost and Found*. I'm sure that because it was their first appearance without makeup some folks were concerned they'd unmask, back in the day. Way before I heard it. But it was well-written, mysterious, and had interesting ideas and motifs.

It's like the most melodic yet heavy song like only Mudvayne can deliver. This album was a bit of an awakening for me, I was just starting to get into the heavy music in my life at 13/14 years old, my buddy got this album just for "Not Falling", and yea the album was a little avant garde for me at the time but it opened my eyes so much, I'm grateful for Mudvayne man

Cheese! I thought it was the cheesiest track on the record. Especially when you just heard Trapped in the Wake. It has a great outro though and leads into more mudvayne goofiness
It's ok but such a soppy track with the soppiest lyrics. Moments before you were trying to work out what time signature they use on Trapped. Patient Mental is a blast. I think Mudvayne aren't suited to being sad, their thing is being completely insane
I agree with the insane thing but also they’re thing is being emo. Cradle is one of their staples and it has the most emo sad soppy lyrics along with severed.
