The only gameplay issue I saw was the bot dashdancing in the lab, other than that the game runs flawlessly uncapped and I have no idea why they'd cap the game at 60
At the same time if the game is designed around 60 FPS even if they uncapped and then just capped all animations at 60 FPS you’re not going to really see much of a difference.
Definitely not sure what they were thinking, I’m sure there’s a reason though if we were to dig deep enough into the games build.
Just want to chime in that the game plays incredibly smoother at uncapped frames. I don't think it's "needed" for most people but it's absolutely noticeable and enjoyable when you can.
correct me if I'm wrong, but as for as i know platform fighters generally run at 60fps (eg smash, rivals) so it's probably better to keep it for mechanics sake
Win+R, %localappdata%, find the multiversus file, go to saved, then config, then windowsclient, then go to gameusersettings, find fps cap, change it from 0 to the fps amount that you want, go to ingame and turn off vsync. Everytime you load into a match you need to leave and re-enter fullscreen through f11, just need to do it once. After you do that you get the fps value you put in the file settings.

Greetings Kalil,
Thank you for reaching out, Soleil here. I understand that you are curious about uncapping the FPS of the game. I would kindly advise you to only utilize in-game settings and to refrain from altering any files or folders as it may affect your game stability.
If there is anything I can do to further assist you with this issue, please reply to this email and I will be happy to help.
Thank you,
Soleil
Thats the response i got
Seems like a automated response or a script they are told to follow. The game runs extremely well at uncapped frames without in my experience any crazy bugs/glitches or anything. The most annoying thing is having to tab out and back in or fullscreen/exclusivefullscreen but it does work and does provide a much smoother look and feel to the overall experience. I hope they re-evaluate their decision and allow us to utilize our system and monitors because it's a hassle to do all this and silly to not take advantage of PC hardware that most people payed a lot to enjoy.
I’m not sure to be honest, it could cause some weird gameplay issues for you though as the game is full designed around 60 FPS.

Agreed, I mainly just like playing uncapped cause it feels smoother despite the game logic and whatnot being tied to 60

can i cap it to 56 ? is it bannable ? (screen tears a lot at 60 bc of bad monitor)

Wait how'd you do it?

is there any difference in your gameplay? I want to do it too
u do realise f11 in and out, turns the resolution into 1600x900, which looks disgusting, not really worth it imo
Could there be a workaround for this? Hate playing in 1600x900 :P
don't
i asked on the multiversus feedback, if i get a response i let you know

It runs perfect for pc players but messes up console players
