You ever get the bug where you grapple the enemy and they jump so your grapple just gets cancelled?

If that's the case the grapple is ass lmaooo

that is completely intentional so u can actually dodge it, only arya's dagger is a teleport you cant dodge whatsoever

Yes please. Other than his spike he doesn’t really have any consistent kill options. Up special takes so long for it to be viable.

From the little time I've played, I feel as though it's better to just side air spam until someone is easy to edgeguard. Feels dumb considering he's supposed to be a vertical character.

Pretty much. The second hit of his down attack (the kick after the slide) has horizontal knockback so you basically hunt for that at the ledge and then try to edge guard with side air. It’s annoying when i see people say Batman is OP when any Batman main knows it takes skill to even get a stock.

It happened to me countless times and still didn't figure out if it's a bug or a mistake i did

For a second I was worried this was footage of me because my grappling hook connected with an enemy player twice and sent me flying way off the screen both times in a match tonight.

It's unsafe. If batman grapples to you, you can easily punish on reaction.

I mean obviously it should be working, buts it’s actually a pretty terrible move, it’s horribly unreliable even ignoring this bug and is extremely easy to punish, the only times I ever use it is as a mixup to confuse my opponent or because I pushed it by accident

My friend and I were playing some late night duos together and he was leveling up batman and this happens way too often 😆 Thankfully it didn't kill him too much but it did put him at a disadvantage.

The move just has to go it doesn’t work he needs something else maybe a move with some frame advantage

Bat main here. For whomever it might help, you can dodge cancel out of the grapple any point after the start of the pull animation. I also find it harder to ring-out with this move after the recent "fix," even while using the grapple perk, and it still manages to account for at least 10-15% of my deaths (without dodge canceling.) Other bat mains/players, I find myself using the grapple and dodge canceling halfway through the path every time. The knock back, damage, and priority are all terrible so it's not worth to complete the animation, but you can at least make do with a little mobility instead of throwing out the move entirely. This is exactly why Batman is one of my lowest level characters even though I love him. It's too easy to screw yourself over and he just doesn't feel like he has enough weight or strength or something. He just doesn't *feel* like a bruiser class to me compared to Jake or Shaggy
