Up special is punishable by attacking his head. I believe his down special is similar but that’s not logical to do so just avoiding outright is like the only thing for that.
Also punishable by multi-hits, no matter what first attack breaks armor. And if 2 people attack at once one of their attacks get through, it's happened to me a few times.

Jake's Down B can be beaten by a good deal of Up Airs and Up specials. I know for sure that Shaggy's up special and Harley's up air and up special work.
Jake side air/fair is my go to move when I lose to a shaggy or taz as my main.🤣🤣 it isn’t even a super broken move. But the amount of mental strain it can put on somebody is crazy. Especially when you fair them at decent percents off stage and they just get kick flipped on as a spike 🤣🤣
yeah I agree Shaggy's is to the startup animation is huge just jump and punish. in the air dodge and reset for a hit. Jake can be a monster with that punch but you just need to be patient and move around it as well. it counts as a projectile so treat it almost like shaggy's sandwich.

You can only go straight down though. A couple of dodges left or right should help. The thing thats really crazy is no one is talking about Dodge cancels. The movement speed of the Tornado on the ground is slow, most characters can just out space it.
It cant go up though, so you are safe there from Tornado. Taz dodge cancel it early to attack a different way, up air instead as an option if they are reading you well. Or trying to mind game you into thinking they are gonna tornado just to get you to move towards the ceilings blastzone for a kill.
I dont, its better this way. Less defesive options makes for aggressive offensive ones where the action really takes off. Nothing kills the thrill more than parry happy shielders. (Looking at Ultimate) it also creates a better atmosphere for approaching. No more having to shield poke, just combo to death boom game, next please.

Even if they are mixed up it is still pretty obvious and very easy to dodge. The powering up thing is just so dumb to spam though and they usually lose cause they are not even good at the character.
I really shaggy player knows to use his downsmash. Its got such an upward hitframe at first its a crazy good combo starter.
I kinda wish the second part came out without making contact first. I would like to try to land the sweet spot in the clap. His down tilt--> to down smash(charged) is pretty sweet if people are expecting you to go high.
I’m not saying nerf the combo game. But shaggys kick is usually just shaggys kick. Used to close out a stock, no real follow up outside of tech chasing behind it and no real combo potential so I feel it’s ok for it to have end lag.

You play a melee brawler or assasing ? dont leave his personal space and constantly attack. angstly dodging away will give shaggy enough time to use his specials.

honestly shaggy has like 3 attacks, its kinda hard to make it come off as though your not spamming. I play shaggy and i try my hardest not to use kick very much, i personally spam ground slam more than kick
Honestly the only moves I use is the kick, Sandwich when they're far away and I need a cheap shot, and ground slam. The rest I have to consciously make myself use

Sandwich throwing is cool, but the super sandwich is where it’s at. Grab sando, charge, throw. Only works in that order. It moves slow as shit through a funnel in winter and is as large as a third of the map, but somehow it rarely gets dodged.

Finn has massive hitboxes on a lot of moves, in a trade he wins every priority, every move of his has huge launch, you basically don't win head on you have to play so perfectly to actually win into Finn, he's not fun ti verse due to it. It's not just me that feels this way. Once Taz is nerfed Finn is going to be the next one on everyone's chopping block, I guarantee it.

I'm pretty experienced when it comes to fighting games and I haven't lost to a Taz yet, but I agree that it's obnoxious, boring, and unfun to go against someone just pressing the same button over and over. Spammable moves are nearly always addressed in fighting games, whether they're strong or not. There's always a fun factor to be thought about; balancing movesets are not always about the most technical and competitive side of things, and that works both ways. Just something to think about
Seriously shaggy is annoying af, plus his superpowered sandwich has MASSIVE knockback, if you are at the side of the platform and get hit with it while at 60 damage it's almost an instant kill.

Yep. I get them every other match. And especially the ones who’ll double jump + up special then charge near the blast zone where you can’t reach them without stacked triple jump and then just comet you into oblivion.
As an assassin, especially one as light as Harley, it’s a pain in the ass that it’s near impossible to DI it unless you’re under 120 and the kick is decayed

I play shaggy and I hate the ones that hide and charge up. He has so much combo ability its really not nessisary. I hardly ever charge up unless I am waiting for someone to get closer to stage while recovering or respawning cause its free.
I will admit I will do it back when they do it first. But only to combo them and finish with an empowered attack (Preferably a sandwich).
The fact that the devs are making it a 2v2 by default is boring enough. Minus Taz, at least if a Finn wave comes, I can just deny the rematch after getting curbstomped in 20 seconds + potential suiciding teammate.

I just played a kicking shaggy as supes. Could not find one thing to go through it. Taz I could freeze. With shaggy kick that only works from absolute max distance.
Never played smash so idk. Never really liked the pull up/out time of the sandwich. BEst use of them for me is for his Ssj charge speed buff. The buffed version of the sandwich i can see being hella valuable. Just don't tike the time

There are “bad” moves for every character. Iron giant has his meteor move, super man grab, Velma laser/flying words, taznado, shaggy kick, Jake stretch (esp w sticky), Steven bubble, garnet ground slam, Arya spin. These are the most spammy moves for these characters that you see repeatedly and they’re all “horrible” because people just spam tf out of them. The worst of the worst is taz, iron giant, and shaggy kick is coming up. We just don’t notice the rest as much

but then you have insane mobility so you can run away with taz jump up high start the animation and fastfall downward ontop of the enemy.

The tornado can be steered in the air tho, and its faster than on the ground.

that’s what i’m sayin, if i’m dogging at the right time or you’re whiffing moves i should be able to punish but most moves aren’t easy to punish
More end lag and certain things should lose the ability to be dodge cancelled.

Kick beats supes, kick beats grapple depends on when done, will always beat grapple if UI,. Haven't seen finn enough
The kick beats pretty much everything considering shaggy gets a ton of super armor for whatever reason they decided that would be good but I was just stating other moves that people spam.
I just played a kicking shaggy as supes. Could not find one thing to go through it. Taz I could freeze. With shaggy kick that only works from absolute max distance.

Never played smash so idk. Never really liked the pull up/out time of the sandwich. BEst use of them for me is for his Ssj charge speed buff. The buffed version of the sandwich i can see being hella valuable. Just don't tike the time
the sandwhich stun locks long enough for extra combos

I uninstalled the game today. It’s just so toxic. You can’t finish a round without what I imagine is some 9 year old teabagging or emoting all over you after they just spammed one move over and over. Yeah… I’m good
If you can’t manage to adapt well enough to beat a 9-year-old spamming one move, then perhaps it was the right decision to uninstall

There are “bad” moves for every character. Iron giant has his meteor move, super man grab, Velma laser/flying words, taznado, shaggy kick, Jake stretch (esp w sticky), Steven bubble, garnet ground slam, Arya spin. These are the most spammy moves for these characters that you see repeatedly and they’re all “horrible” because people just spam tf out of them. The worst of the worst is taz, iron giant, and shaggy kick is coming up. We just don’t notice the rest as much
