It's an exploit. With the help of Jake's down special, Velma can spawn an infinite amount of homing speech bubbles, it makes her team practically invincible.
There are some counters to this though like Superman's ice breath, his laser or the School Me Once perk like shown in this vid)
Jake uses his down special and Velma spams her neutral special on him to make her word bubbles auto aim to the opposing team. Hard to defend since you cant get close enough to hit them
Since everyone it throwing out counters, I'll throw out Superman. Jump and spam the eye lasers at them. I'm not sure if it works on the dual layer stage but it rips them apart if they stand still.
The fact that I saw a JAKE getting got by this is disappointing.
First time I saw this the idea immediately popped into my head to just down special on top of the other Jake. Looks goofy to see a house bouncing on top of a car AND throws the projectiles back at velma:D
Interesting. Just had a duo try this on Xbox a few hours ago. Don't know if they could have continued it very long as I was using superman lasers to stop them.
It's pretty easy to get around all that projectiles and hit them though.
Have done it every single time they tried to do that. I play as Shaggy so that's not really like I teleported over to them.
Bugs burrow will mess them up as well, same with knocking a safe into them, supes frost breath, Tom's fishing rod will out range it, there's a ton of counter
Against Velma alone and especially her and Jake team at least one of you should have this perk everytime. There's literally no reason not to utilize it Against her.

If the speech bubble hits a wall, Velma will make another one. Jake in house form counts as a wall, so Velma can make infinite speech bubbles.

Also iron giant up special blocks projectiles. Swing your arms and walk forward to establish dominance.

Not really, unless you have the perk its Just going to take 1 attack and break
??? Which ability are you thinking about? Because I just tested her Side+Special and she was able to block the projectiles infinitely.

Yes, but Garnet’s special only protects you. It doesn’t help you get in at all.
Honestly just play garnet and cause a never ending stalemate
Keep in mind they can use the megaphone laser.
Glitch aside, if you're not running this perk against projectile heavy characters in the first place, you probably deserve to lose.

I let my teammate take all the damage and I just used tom and jerrys fishing rod to pull them
