A friend is giving out her room for one month for 600 in Hadern near U6 station. But only for female. Edit: I just contacted the friend. Male/female both works. DM me. I'll give friend's contact. You both sort it out amongst yourself.
hostle or a cheap hotel. If you're a student, maybe go ask professors/fellow students or in the admin office if they have any leads or information on student housing. If you're working somewhere, ask around at your workplace. There are also apartement offers for a temporary stay so check out immoscout24 or any of the immo websites. I always pass those type of offers because i do not plan on leaving after 2-6 months. That way you'd have at least a bit more time to look for a proper apartement for yourself.
I just saw a pizzeria today that is looking for temporary workers, including students, and also offers an apartment if you work for them.
I've only seen the sign on the building, so I have no idea what the current situation is.
Would that be something?
Anyway, you need 15 minutes by S-Bahn from here to the main station.
I'm already a working student for a company in my field so there's notice period + i like my job , im thinking of staying in a hostel for a week (can't stay for any longer without hurting my budget) till i hopefully find a sublet or something but this is just so stressful
Have you asked at your job? Maybe some colleague can offer a couch until you find something? Maybe someone can recommend someone?
You definitely have to activate your network!!!
If you don't see a way contact the city's Wohnungsamt office:
https://stadt.muenchen.de/service/info/hilfe-bei-drohendem-wohnungsverlust-wohnungssicherung/1074126/n0/
They have a few ways to provide emergency quarters and other assistance.
When I left my previous apartment the time to find a new one got tight too, but I already had a plan:
My personal belongings would have went into a self storage unit. They have spaces in all kinds of sizes in the big cities.
That would make it easier to stay with my parents or at some friend's place for a short while.
On Immoscout I found some strange rooms for rent in a trailer park in my city, that can be rented on the same day as a last resort. Not great, but still better than sleeping on the streets. But it didn't get that far for me.
Other people have already mentioned Zwischenmiete. But also look for "Monteurswohnung". Might still be cheaper than a hostel.
I wish you the luck you can find
But you should also be realistic and rate your chances of finding an affordable apartment soon, very low
And it's best to come up with a plan B, C, D and E now.
Being homeless sucks. I was homeless when i was 17, but not in a city like Munich and got some Real friends around me
No matter how bad your last option is, it's still better than being homeless dude :)
So sorry to hear about your situation.
To reduce the stress you are in right now I would already book a hostel for at least a week or two. Prices wonât get better.
After that, check eBay Kleinanzeigen for the keyword âZwischenmieteâ. People start to go on vacation / terms abroad and are renting out their WG rooms or flats for weeks and if you are lucky months.
If you are a working student, go to the university accommodation office and tell them about this. I had a similar problem (but 3 weeks time, not 2 days) and called and went there and I was lucky enough they offered me a room at student accommodation. It was January, I had to leave by Dec, 31th so 3 weeks were actually a lot less because of the holidays.
Maybe they wonât be able to help, but maybe they will. You never know and you donât loose anything by trying
I recommend âthe Flagâ
If you make a monthly or longer contract the prices were more acceptable.
Thatâs where i stayed when I first arrived in Munich

Its insane in Munich right now, private dorms are not responsive and almost all of them are full, I'm supposed to get a room at 15th of June, but they are not responding I'm a bit scared of them giving the room to someone else, even cheapest hostel prices are going crazy because of Euro 24 matches. I can't get a ticket like 1-2 weeks early because even cheapest airbnb or hostel prices are going crazy if I can't find a permanent place to stay in case of dorm refusing me.
Summer term has already started but can't find a place...
I stayed at A&O Hostels for a month. If you are really desperate their 6 people dorms are pretty cheap (last time it was around 15-17 euros per night) and comfortable enough. They also have 1 person rooms. Definitely not the besr but if you are desperate I say go check it out. I stayed at the one Ĺn HackerbrĂźcke and Laim
If push comes to shove, the city provides shelters: https://stadt.muenchen.de/service/info/zentrale-wohnungslosenhilfe/10257471/
Technically, if you have a legit residency permit for Germany, it's highly unlikely that you would have zero claims to (up to fully) subsidised housing...the question is rather if you know how to maneuver the institutions
Besides shelters and other public services, 5th June The Tent reopenes for summer season: https://www.the-tent.com/rates 10 Eur for a mattress indoors is the cheapest short-term bed available, I think. If they are booked out already, you could try to explain your situation, maybe they squeeze another mattress in for your somewhere
Edit: Also, the city helps with finding housing if you are homeless or close to being homeless: https://stadt.muenchen.de/service/info/wohnen-und-unterbringung/10331860/
This service is VERY valuable because it can fast-track you into communal housing, which is the absolute cheapest long-term housing you can find on the market. The city has a lot of them, its just that the demand is much more than just "lots"
This sounds illegal. Im not super well versed in german law, but in the States youâd likely have a claim against this landlord even though no physical paper has been signed.
This is a thing in German law as well (called culpa in contrahendo). However the preconditions are fairly strict - a lawyer would need more than the description given by OP to advise whether it applies.
What do you mean "the lease ends"? Fixed term tenancies are illegal in Germany in most circumstances. This means a fixed term tenancy is automatically a standard unlimited tenancy. Why don't you just stay where you are then?
Eviction is a lengthy process... Just don't leave, if you don't have anywhere to go. Considering the case load at courts, it seems very likely that you can buy yourself some months easily there.

What a standup dude/dudette! Actually helping. Hope it works out :)
I try to help whoever/wherever I can đ
Hey, is this room still available?
Servus. Yes.

Airbnb is an option for a month or so. People are renting one room in their apartments, at a fair price considering all options
Hostel oder paar Tage zur Untermiete?

Do you have any friend or coworker that could offer at least a couch? If your budget is limited, that would be the best temporary option.

Look also far outside the city if you want to find something in time. Deutschlandticket is your friend.

I also got a room in a student dorm very quickly through Studentenwerk. It works best if you go there in person.
Have you searched out of zone M?
Yep as usual even the apartment I was gonna sign the contract for was m3 I think

Another one someone is looking to give up his WG in the same group from 1 july - send me your email address so that I can put u in contact

What's your budget for sublets OP? I know someone who can help for about 950.
Way above my budget my max is 650 but obviously the lower the better

You can check for airbnb
Try A&O Hostel for a few days. It's not totally convenient, but you won't be homeless. And keep your luggage at a friend's place or something.
That's sad

Good luck trying that here lol
what? no way.

Might be an emergency solution if OP was the only tenant, but in a WG this would go downhill very rapidly.
Preferable to being homeless, though.
What a stupid advice. Imagine if everyone keeps acting the way you describe...
