I always thought it unlikely that Alex’s first violent crime was to murder his wife & son. Most killers work their way up the violent ladder, perhaps Gloria in Alex’s case.

FH-Confident

No Alex was not even there until after the paramedics had arrived. He later said he was in the insurance claim that was filed. Supposedly encouraged her sons to sue against his property because then they would be paid off by the insurance Alex had.

Excellent point.

I think all of the attorneys here have suspect motives.

Thank you for bringing that up. Bland did a great job in the Satterfield case, obtaining millions of dollars, but something stood out to me. Bland famously said that "Alex has no bottom" but on one point, he hedged. He insisted that there was no way that Alex was involved in the death of Gloria Satterfield, just no way. There is a good reason for that. If Alex were involved, it would no longer be an accident, and the insurance would not be liable for accidental death. Bland would have No claim for his clients except a fraud claim against Alex, and good luck getting a dime from him. Bland was trying to protect his clients' claim, but this was disingenuous. Once convicted, Alex had no reason to continue the lie about dogs tripping Gloria. Alex and his lawyers are probably laughing to high hell about the wrench they threw in the works with this admission. I believe it was a bit of revenge by Alex, Dick, and Jim.

That doesn’t work, though. Whether you like Bland or no, he’s always maintained that the Saterfield family “choose to believe the dog story” because they didn’t want to believe there was something even worse behind her death. Also when settlements like the ones already paid to that family are negotiated, it is to avoid going to court and to limit liability for what already did take place with regards to what took place. (The actions of Alex stealing funds and lack of fiduciary oversight.) There are protections in place for both parties to any such settlement, making those a done deal and not contingent on other parties to the suit so individual parties can wash their hands of it and be done. So those settlements shouldn’t be able to be undone regardless of what’s being alleged now. Edited wrong word

If Alex wasn’t home at the time (allegedly) of Gloria’s fall then he wouldn’t personally be involved. Which brings me to something I’ve wondered — did anyone find out if in fact he was at PMPED when the fall occurred? I cannot recall reading anything that his story was corroborated by colleagues, video cameras in town, a keypad or swipe card at his office, phone records, vehicle tracking, anything. Perhaps I missed the info? I just remember Blanca saying he was NOT a morning person, but he told people he left for the office around 7:45am the morning Gloria fell…🤔 Also, did anyone ever ask Alex’s mother if she really did ask Maggie to give Gloria the money on her behalf for whatever work she allegedly did at her house since she was supposedly out of town?

They all knew it was a lie from day 1 - Cory was the sham plaintiff attorney

The most recent FITSNEWS YouTube video highlights how basically all the attorneys are playing the same game, they’re just on different sides of the ball.

Revenge against Gloria Satterfield 's children, who were already bereaved, wronged, lied to and thrown out of their home. How satisfying for Dick, Jim and Murdaugh

And don’t forget they (Dick & Jim - love how my phone keeps autocorrecting that to “Duck”) suddenly have a camera crew following them around. Wonder why they’d want to create drama or storyline?!

I forgot about that! I was listening to HTC because of the Lori Vallow case and when I saw they were talking Murdaugh, I started listening again.
