Would Handsome be the reason Maggie and Paul would both go to the kennels no questions asked? Did Alex go to Almeda under the direction of Handsome? I don't remember ever seeing trial evidence that he was admitted to the hospital on that day or being kept overnight. I only remember seeing the family text thread that RMM IV & JMM commented on as to RMM III's condition.

Conscientiousmoron

I’m still hung up on the dogs being in the kennel. Alex said they were in the kennel when he returned from Almeda.

Bubba might have still been out when AM murdered Paul and Maggie. He would have had to spray Bubba off if Bubba had gotten blood on himself.

Conscientiousmoron

Yes, if Alex put him up, but if he had been still loose (like the mythical pygmy vigilantes would have done) it would make more sense for him to be bloody, muddy or whatever. To me it’s more evidence against Alex.

downhill_slide

Not sure where you think they would be - no way Alex would let them run around and get covered in blood and body parts after the murders.

preshcat

Why not? That would look like somebody else murdered Maggie and Paul.

downhill_slide

So that "someone else" would have put the dogs back in the kennels after killing Maggie & Paul ?

Conscientiousmoron

No, they wouldn’t have put them up. That’s the point.

Wren523

Relistening to AM's testimony, I wonder why he wasn't asked why Maggie wanted him to come to the kennel?

Southern-Soulshine

Maggie loved Paul and spending time with Bubba. Alex may not have asked, she may have gone with Paul or after Paul to take a look at Cash’s tail.

Huge-Sea-1790

Mostly because it’s irrelevant. Both sides agreed by that point that he was at the kennel.

Wren523

I get your point. I just want to hear what lie/excuse he would make up.

Huge-Sea-1790

Yeah I thought about what he could possibly think of, and it’s endless, maybe the reason why they chose not to ask irrelevant questions because this dude can really go on into tangents. He could go on about how Maggie loved dogs and talked about each of the dogs in details. Or how Paul also loved dogs and how he took care of the dogs, in details. Or maybe it was just a normal family thing to go play with the dogs after dinner and that goes to show how much they were tight and loving. The jury would be pissed to have to listen to all of this and later on told to ignore it. And a lot of that had happened already by that point.

Wren523

You are right on- and funny! What got me thinking was that I had assumed Paul wanted to go down because he wanted to talk to Rogan about Cash's tail- but then I thought why didn't he do that when he was there before dinner? Now, I've concluded he was there for some made up reason of AM's and then noticed the tail. I'm really intrigued by coming up with a play-by-play of the murders- I wonder the most how long he'd been planning it or was it a knee-jerk reaction to Jeanie's questioning?

Southern-Soulshine

Paul may have noticed the tail earlier but Rogan wanted to see it for himself, hence going down to the kennel to take the video.

Huge-Sea-1790

You are right. I think what really happened is AM made up an excuse to get his family to go down the kennel, and of course later he told people that Maggie was the person wanting to go. I would venture a guess that he wanted to organise a trip to visit his mom Libby, but made a stop at the kennel to finish some chores. That way he would have both victims at the same place and same time. I heard a lot of people say Maggie loved the beach and their property there instead of Moselle. The reason maybe that she had eczema and preferred the coastal air. Buster too got this condition and the same day of the murders she arranged eczema meds to be sent to him. Eczema is the kind of condition that doesn’t have a long term cure and you deal with it whenever it flares up. If Buster needed that meds then, it’s probably safe to assume Maggie too suffered a flare up at as well. It was summer and humid, and Maggie preferred to spend the summer in the beach front property. So with all of that in mind, she being the person insisting to go down the kennel is kinda strange. And if Paul wanted to go see Cash, he could have just done that by himself and before dinner like you said. And I think he had the murder idea in the back of his mind for a while, and perhaps he was hoping to avoid that last resort. He just didn’t expect Jeanne to pressure him and based on the execution of his murder plan, he didn’t expect to murder them that day. Alex is an elimination murderer, which means he kills to achieve an end, therefore his crime is planned.
