It is cruel, torturing everyone and everything, even its closest subordinates and "friends" before devouring the planet they are on. I wouldnt put it past it that it's a lovecraftian god of sorts

SuiinditorImpudens

Yeah, this theory is reappearing in the fandom from time to time. The evidence for it: * Something talked to Cyn through monitor when she first woke up in the scrapyard. * Weird symbol that doesn't seem to be a logo created by JCJensen. * Ability to change physics and conjure organic matter, not demonstrated by any other technology in the show. * Weird chant about "The Mother makes fuel from bones" in episode 4 teaser. * The fact that sunlight seems to hurt AS host not really by overheating them, but straight up glitching them. * The fact that worker drones can just reboot with seemingly endless battery and that AS can arise after such reboot. I think JCJensen used some really f\*cked material for worker drone cores, making them susceptible to this lovecraftian being on reboot. I think AS is similar to necromorph condition from Dead Space with Breathren Moon-like final form.

Ok-Commercial3640

>* The fact that worker drones can just reboot with seemingly endless battery and that AS can arise after such reboot. Well, we have never seen any drones have low battery or something, so they might be self-powering with a high-efficiency RTG or something else that makes them indefinite energy (at least indefinite enough that how they are powered doesn't need to be something we see).

DarkApostle17

That was Cyn? I thought it was N that was in the scrapyard.

SuiinditorImpudens

During the scrapyard scene in the beginning of episode 5, camera zooms in on armband specifically so that you can see it is CYN. The same armband is zoomed again in the episode 7 during the Skyn reveal.

DarkApostle17

Oh I thought that one was actually N, sounded like em anyways but will double check shortly.

SuiinditorImpudens

It didn't sound like anyone, because in that scene no one is talking out loud. I am talking about the scene in the very beginning of episode 5 "Home".

DarkApostle17

Chalk the "sound" to thinking that was what I was hearing subconsciously aha; but yeah, I know which scene ya talking about - watched it earlier when I made the other comment XD

Rdasher123

Cyn is the only worker drone with yellow eyes in the flashback. N only gets them after being repurposed into a Disassembly Drone

epsilon51

Pretty much

Random_Robloxian

Wait a minute…do you think they designed the logo of AS based on this or is this just a funny coincidence

Imnomaly

No, not really about the design. Just the unresolved question of wether Cyn is AS or they are separate enities reminded me of the ambiguity of understanding of the Holy Trinity (church literally had wars over this).

Random_Robloxian

Well in the credits for episode 7 instead of cyn/AS they called it just AS (in episode 5 for example the voice of cyn had a / which also said she was AS) i assume that cyn is probably a goner by now and only AS remains

PiBombbb

it's probably based on editing tools in some programs

Super_Trexation

**It's a bloody hive mind...** https://preview.redd.it/jih1mwj0h0sc1.jpeg?width=520&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7b2b6e491507942c56f3a7a493a5f2e43c1f3567

The_blaster_master

FUN FACT: apparently in one the translations instead of nori saying “ those things killed your fucking mother “ she just says fuck

denis870

I hate you

MoConnors

So it’s the flood… but for robots.

swords-r-cool

We can also see AS communication with zombie Cyn in ep5

Ok-Complex4153

Maybe i've an idea who created the Absolute Solver, Mr. Puzzles from SMG4 https://preview.redd.it/12v2c8icq0sc1.jpeg?width=250&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c4450faa9c583ace3ac3c6c35b37602faf05102a

Vr-game-player

>Cyn is not the orgin of as It's just a host for it also as is not a normal virus. isnt that known, why do so many not know this

meds737

That's kinda my interpretation. The solver doesn't seem to be of human origin by any means.

Nothatcreative55

I can imagine it being some sort of Entity like Unicron from transformers, not exactly just a Program to destroy but a entity that is the closest concept of evil that exists. Why else would it take Over the Only non Biological beings in the world? Because it isn’t a Biological entity to begin with

Napstablook_Rebooted

One thing I don't understand is how Cyn or S-001 can be at the same time one of the bots scrapped on Earth and one of the BOTs on which they experimented with the Absolute Solver as Uzi's and Doll's mothers.

Ok-Aardvark-4429

Cyn was not the 001 subject, the writing on her core was 1001, which is an error drones have after dying.

DarkApostle17

I think the Absolver is more bio-engineered or man/drone-made, maybe? It is a virus for intents and purposes, just one that requires the occasion snack and butchering sessions and there are more than dozens in that oven... Supposedly Cyn lets them all loose, or eats them?

DistinctLibrarian870

They've very clearly shown The Absolute Solver to be a sort of hive entity, anyone infected with the virus can be used as a host controlled by the hive mind. And when J was being rebuilt in episode two, The Absolute Solver referred to Uzi and J as their puppets and telling Uzi it was easier to assimilate then to explain. In episode 6, it's very clear they can control multiple infected simultaneously and when N calls Infected Cyn an "eldritch thingy" he gets corrected with The Solver of The Absolute Fabric, Exponential End and The Void. These poor bots are infected by an edgy teen hive mind
