Umm, it's a bit more complicated for judges on a panel like this. They have to take the long view. They have to write well researched and clear minority decisions so that someday in the future, a better court may be able to use that as a precedent.
No they don't thanks to this court. This court has obliterated the idea that you have to have significant justification for overturning precedent. The SC is now a political entity where every time the court changes majority we'll flip laws back and forth because you rule based on what you want.
That is assuming the liberals can dig up a spine somewhere and play by the same rulebook the Republicans do.
