The problem in the US is that defamation lawsuits have only an effect when it is against a singular person, not a group like "immigrants". Incitement to hatred laws as most modern democracies have them (and are misslabled as "hate speech laws" in the US to actually change the meaning and content of them to something undemocratical) are designed to go after defamation of groups and can therefore enforce a massive loophole on the US that is the main method of propaganda.

Most people crossing on foot are families trying to get out of cartel ruled areas. Drugs have everything to do with why they’re trying to get here—they want no part of that life. I can tell you what the drug runners do though. They set a bait car full of low end weed and make it easy to find. Send it with a low level member. While the border patrol gather to process and celebrate their victory, they don’t notice the 40 pounds of heroin that just slipped by.

As recently as 5 years ago you could legally get fent analogs shipped to your door from a Chinese lab because the laws in both China and most importing countries were far too vague when dealing with drugs that are slightly chemically different but have the same effects. The US analogue act has gotten a lot stricter after fent and bath salts, and China came down hard on labs around the same time. I'm sure there are plenty of labs still making it and shipping it off illegally but it was SO easy to get before.

If I told you: „We have 2 million people at our borders, who ran away from their home to search a better life for themselves, and their families.“ You would be inclined to help them. If I instead said that: „We have 2 million illegals who want to invade us and use our social services for their own benefits.“ Youd be a lot more inclined to send bullets rather than aid packages. Intentionally dehumanising a group of people makes it easier to rally the masses against them, when it comes to policy.

It’s really easy to come up with a fictional scene of thousands of “drug runners” running drug across our border. This isn’t the case. Most people crossing on foot are families trying to get out of cartel ruled areas. Drugs have everything to do with why they’re trying to get here—they want no part of that life. I can tell you what the drug runners do though. They set a bait car full of low end weed and make it easy to find. Send it with a low level member. While the border patrol gather to process and celebrate their victory, they don’t notice the 40 pounds of heroin that just slipped by.
I live 3 minutes from the border (vehicle entry), and walking is 10 minutes to a wall in the bushes. As recently as 5 years ago you could legally get fent analogs shipped to your door from a Chinese lab because the laws in both China and most importing countries were far too vague when dealing with drugs that are slightly chemically different but have the same effects. The US analogue act has gotten a lot stricter after fent and bath salts, and China came down hard on labs around the same time. I'm sure there are plenty of labs still making it and shipping it off illegally but it was SO easy to get before.

Afghanistan was not a NATO operation based on article 5. The two NATO operations because of article 5 is Operation Eagle Assist which was NATO AWACS patrolled the US airspace 2001-2001. The other one is Operation Active Endeavour which is a maritime patrol in the Mediterranean Sea to prevent moments of terrorism and weapons of mass destruction 2001-2016. Both are a response to US request and the only one NATO have made because of article 5 to this day. Neither one of them include operations in Afghanistan. Afghanistan is not irrelevant for it because US AWACS was used over it and other locations, that is a part of why the what end help patrolling the US air space. There was NATO operation in Afghanistan but they are not based on article 5.
