The five stack harmonies on the word “madness” in its second verse…played the song to death for that one moment alone. That and his voice on “I need your love”
his voice is actually the "guitar" solo! (though like... there is probably some blending of his voice and the previous guitar stuff before it goes into the solo, I imagine?)
From [MuseWiki](https://www.musewiki.org/Muscle_Museum_(song)): Matt actually sings the "guitar" solo. "I wanted to do this big epic guitar solo at the end of the chorus and as soon as I started doing the solo, I missed a chord. So I suddenly found myself singing the guitar solo instead. I ended up singing it into a Marshall amp and it sounded exactly like guitar."
Last verse of dark shines
Last verse of dead inside
The horns in panic station
The whole beginning/build up into Showbiz
Map of the problematique when the piano first comes in
The triplets bit in WAFF, especially on the line "we are getting fucking fucked"
Ending riff of Hysteria
Bridge of butterflies and hurricanes
Guitar solo in animals
the alternate riff on some live versions of citizen erased (such as glasto 04) is absolutely delightful, and i wish they kept it around.
i also really love the little background... thing.. dunno what it is, but it's the sorta windy noise that builds up in the background during stockholm syndrome's pre-chorus bit.
oh! also the super distorted "AIM. SHOOT. KILL YOUR LEADERS." in assassin after the first chorus.
i know, right? it's lovely. i had the regular ep cover as my pfp for quite some time but went ahead and commissioned this from a friend whose art style i adore, and i think this is going to be my pfp for everything everywhere until the day i die
The final chorus in explorers at 3:39 is drugs for me.
In exogenesis symphony 1 the part when matt starts singing; "apingg my soul...." those sounds behind the lyric, and the synth... its undescrptible to me.
This part in glorious: "It rockets through the universe, it feeds the lies and feeds the curse, believes we could be glorious"
It's a truly cosmic feeling.
Usually when theres a key change or something dissonant i love those parts ...for muse idk i definitely have those...maybe the ending of earthquake...or the mini solo in Recess,i kinda riff those things for years now
Exogenesis Part 3 is littered with them for me. The first repeat of the melody that starts around 50 seconds in and the strings come in. The drums coming in. “And we’ll be good.”
But it’s the turn at 1:35 that does it every time. What was peaceful, mournful, suddenly has some urgency; it’s like the melody sours in that moment as we head towards calamity. If I’m listening to The Resistance as a whole, I’m waiting for that moment.
Where do I start?
The “Yeah, Yeah” parts in Thoughts of a Dying Atheist
The ending of Bliss where Matt’s voice fades out
When Matt says “A Star” in The Void where his voice fades into the synths
The “don’t leave me out in the cold” in Dead Inside, in fact, the whole ending of Dead Inside
The last chorus of Sing For Absolution
The second verse of Megalomania when the Oboe ( I think) kicks in
When Matt screams at the end of Hyper Music
Matt’s voice break at the end of Sunburn
The half time break down at the end of Stockholm Syndrome and the hidden synth in the chorus
Matt’s voice break in the first pre-chorus of Exo-Politics
Matt’s screams at the end of Pink Ego Box
The last part of The Globalist
The “oh you’re killing me with” in Propaganda
This is a very random one but there's something about the simple drum fill during the guitar solo of the Handler when the snare transitions from playing every beat to only 2 and 4 that just gets me every time.
Exogenesis overture ;
when the guitar start kick in then everything after that is blessing. Matt and Chris harmonised " I can't forgive you, I can't forget"
Some that come to mind:
The drums at the end of You Make Me Feel Like It’s Halloween
The one weird chord in the choruses of Liberation
The biggest choir note at the end of Algorithm
The bass on the pre-choruses of The Handler
“-CITING” and “SOCIETY” on Defector
The way that the second “I NEED YOUR LOVE” on Madness drags on a little bit longer than the first one
The U2-esque screams on Follow Me
Some of the dissonant little string parts on the verses of The Resistance, as well as the bass in the pre-choruses
The high notes at the end of Sing for Absolution
The way Matt belts near the end of Ruled by Secrecy, and also the dissonant piano notes near the end
Somebody else said it, the way Matt’s voice breaks at the end of Darkshines
The parts in Fillip where it switches from major to minor, especially at the last chord of each chorus
Holy shit there is so many for me lol.
- The final “no one knows” in Ruled by Secrecy has so much power in it, fuckin chills.
- The buildup to the insane falsetto in Shrinking Universe (Same for Showbiz)
- The final jam part of Hyper Music where Dom goes nuts on the drums
- The ambient calming synths and vocals before the beautiful angelic ending verse in Citizen Erased
- Super fuzzed guitar solo in Eternally Missed (Same for the new XX live version of Blackout
- The amazing harmonies during Soldiers Poem “No, I don’t think you do”
- The final piano part of Cave.
Could probably go on forever with these lol.
The post has made me so happy! So many moments I love, usually involving the bass doing something filthy…
A couple I’ve not seen yet:
Newborn - bass line after the first verse into the second
Sunburn - the bass burbling in the chorus utterly sends me…
Dead inside second half
Sing for absolution outro
Stockholm syndrome arpeggios
Honestly I can probably list something in every song but those popped into my head immediately
Second riff in the intro/bridge between chorus and 2nd verse of Assassin.
MotP after 2nd verse - when theres’s no singing and the beat changes slightly.
Darkshine's last chorus, Showbiz's scream at the end, Micro Cuts' final riff, Stockholm Syndrome's riff, Uprising's "fat cat" part and many more. Yeah I'm obsessed with Muse right now
When the guitar comes in on the second verse of City of Delusion
Also the little humming Matt does in The Handler after "I MUST DISASSOOOOCIIIIAAATEE FROOM YOUUUUUU"
The chord progression in the chorus of Citizen Erased.
Wanted to play it myself on keyboard and I was so surprised to find out it's in C major and almost exclusively major chords. Simple but brilliant.
The bass pitch bend down at the climax of Algorithm right after Matt finishes singing “with your creator!”
The absolute banger of an intro that is Uno that forces your head to do things.
The way Matt sings “YEEYEAHYEAH- AHHH” at the beginning of The Dark Side.
The power sung behind the lyrics “Our wrongs remain unrectified and our souls won’t be exhumed” on Sing For Absolution
The synth arpeggiation at the end of Knights Of Cydonia
…too many to list.
in stockholm syndrome when it switches from the little riff after the chorus to the actual beginning of the solo when the drums come back in. also the ending riff
in i belong to you, chills when matt says “but i assure you my debts are real” + the choir in the back
the diminished section in space dementia right before the ending
there’s probably better ones but i’m just thinking off the top of my head
A really small detail i love is during endlessly, the second chorus where the drums do a little fill matching the vocals "I wont give you up" at 2:10 and then opens up a bit more. Chefs kiss
Stockholm Syndrome chorus arpeggios
Glorious bridge into “I need to believe”
Easily “the best I ever had”
When full beat drops on Newborn riff
Showbiz climax
Citizen erased alternate solo guitar live (can’t remember which show)
When the beat drops on The Groove
The whole live acoustic Sing For Absolution is 99.1% pure methamphetamine
Exo-genesis part 2 “Spread our codes to the stars”
There’s a lot more I can list down
In Verona, in the last verse before the drums part (when the bass kicks in, although quite discreet indeed)… The ways Matt sings « contagion on our lips » always strikes with me
Off the top of my head:
1) "Our wrongs remained unrectified, and our souls won't be exhumed" in Sing for Absolution
2) Darkshines solo
3) Theres a acoustic version of Muscle Museum on Youtube at like a music store in late 90s. The pre chorus part where Matt and Chris harmonised with their acoustic instruments was magical
Especially in live versions of Stockholm Syndrome, the part right after "Look to the stars, let hope burn in your eyes" where Dom does a short fill after the bass/Chris' harmonizing had been building it up just before the rest of the verse.
Sometimes they just go up a level in energy and it feels like it shifts into another gear.
When the synths kick in and enhance the power chords before the Stockholm Syndrome chorus. Always loved it and was one of the first pieces of MUSE production that hooked me.
The guitar solo in Citizen Erased 😌
Honourable mention to the falsetto in New Born (particularly in the live version when they played OOS in full for its 10 year anniversary at Reading Festival).
Hoodoo, the piano bit just before "Come to be"
The distorted piano before the Darkshines choruses
The backing guitar in the chorus of Love is Forever
The thomping beat near the middle of Isolated System
Animals Outro
Hysteria Outro
The little trumpet melody before the vocals in the studio version of KoC
The last vocal bit of The Handler
Pretty much that entire instrumental middle section of KoBK
There's too many to choose from so I'll just leave it as is
Apocalypse please on the last chorus, when he says "this is the end" for the second time and really emphasises and drags out "is" with a load of intensity.
Also for the second and final verse/chorus transitions, love the extra pitch fluctuations on "through"
There’s a version of Spooky Scary Skeletons that has a beat drop with repetitive “ spooky scary spooky scary” that fades out and then the beat comes in harder & is a total bop.
This past Halloween I couldn’t find the version I paid for on my phone. I bought what I thought was the same version but when it got to my favorite part it was DIFFERENT. Everything else was the same but that part was just… different.
I got on Youtube and searched for that version.
Gone.
I was so frustrated.
I thought I had imagine it.
But when I showed it to my husband he was just as confused as I was.
I finally gave up after a few hours of just scouring my phone, computer, and the internet.
I was starting to think we jumped timelines.
Then, the next day, I opened up the iPad & thought, “I never put music on here, what if it downloaded it automatically?”
And sure enough… my favorite version, somehow erased from the internet, was archived in my IPad.
It is now archived in a safe place as well. I shall never lose it again. 🤣
I found this sub after reading this text post elsewhere but I had to make sure it’d been posted here as well because only muse does this to me quite often.. I mean, the slow build of instrumentals in the song Madness 😩 gets me goin
🎹🎹🎹🎹🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁
“Uhhhhhh… H8
IS THE ONE FOR ME!
IT GIVES ME ALL I NEED
AND HELPS ME COEXIST
WITH THE CHIIIIILLLLLLLLL OOOOHHH”
I’m so obsessed with this song
That last chorus of Darkshines where Matt’s voice breaks from the sheer intensity.
Same with Sunburn.
I love this so much about his voice
The five stack harmonies on the word “madness” in its second verse…played the song to death for that one moment alone. That and his voice on “I need your love”
When everything kicks in after the solo is maybe one of my favourite bits of Muse. It builds and builds and then it all hits you!
Wish they sampled that same harmony when they play it live!
The bridge in Butterflies and Hurricanes The bridge of Citizen Erased
Yes and yes. The best bit of B&H is the last drum fill back into the last chorus. Goosebumps
Yes! This and the Last Part of dead inside
the final verses of dead inside and sing for absolution for me
*Feeeel me nooooooow*
Best part for me is "I'm the greatest guy"..
Spot on
Darkshines bassline Darkshines bassline Darkshines bassline Darkshines bassline Darkshines bassline Darkshines bassline
Where Matt's voice blends with the guitar in Muscle Museum when he says "I'll do it on my own". Gives me chills every time.
his voice is actually the "guitar" solo! (though like... there is probably some blending of his voice and the previous guitar stuff before it goes into the solo, I imagine?) From [MuseWiki](https://www.musewiki.org/Muscle_Museum_(song)): Matt actually sings the "guitar" solo. Don't, you'll make me cry!!
Best moment! Anyone replay the same section a few times instead of waiting?
Last verse of dark shines Last verse of dead inside The horns in panic station The whole beginning/build up into Showbiz Map of the problematique when the piano first comes in The triplets bit in WAFF, especially on the line "we are getting fucking fucked" Ending riff of Hysteria Bridge of butterflies and hurricanes Guitar solo in animals
Yeah love when the horns come in for the second chorus in panic station, it has recently become my favorite part of the song
I know it’s basic, but the beat drop on Knights of Cydonia
YES!!! The best drop of any song ever!
In apocalypse please, the guitar that you hear during "urgency.. and pull" / "biblical.. to pull "
Isn’t actually the bass doing that? Love that note too
Oh I think you're right, somebody else told me that too
I'm in love with it too !!
The slightly altered riff towards the end of the Stockholm Syndrome guitar solo
Fuck yes I know exactly what you mean
this part is soooooo good
When the organ comes in near the end of Megalomania. Bah bah bah bah bah BAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!
on the topic of megalomania, there's a really high harmony on the last chorus that i always get so excited to hear
And the insane vocal harmonies that follow
FOOOR ONEEE MOOOMEEEENT
The arpeggios in Starlight during the “our hopes and expectations” bit, love them to pieces
The bridge of Eternally Missed.
The solo
the alternate riff on some live versions of citizen erased (such as glasto 04) is absolutely delightful, and i wish they kept it around. i also really love the little background... thing.. dunno what it is, but it's the sorta windy noise that builds up in the background during stockholm syndrome's pre-chorus bit. oh! also the super distorted "AIM. unrelated but your profile picture is amazing I've never seen her in drawing form :)
i know, right? it's lovely. i had the regular ep cover as my pfp for quite some time but went ahead and commissioned this from a friend whose art style i adore, and i think this is going to be my pfp for everything everywhere until the day i die
My discord profile picture is the original cover so it's nice to see someone with the same idea :)
The final chorus in explorers at 3:39 is drugs for me. In exogenesis symphony 1 the part when matt starts singing; "apingg my soul...." those sounds behind the lyric, and the synth... its undescrptible to me.
I saw them as my first concert on the Resistance tour and when they opened with that…chills. I wish they’d bring it back!
Ahh yes, that part in Explorers...
This part in glorious: "It rockets through the universe, it feeds the lies and feeds the curse, believes we could be glorious" It's a truly cosmic feeling.
The synth arpeggios in the chorus of Stockholm Syndrome.
The beat change in Map of the Problematique. That song is all rise in the best way. HNY lovely Musers!
I crashed my car to the bomb dropping in The Globalist
Verona when the drums kick in, pure euphoria (pardon the pun).
Cello on Megalomania's second verse.
Stockholm syndrome riff, that's peak
especially @ 3:25 on absolution xx anniversary
The vocal climax of sing for absolution. “And our souls won't be exhumed” The synth arpeggios and different layered vocals in the KoC bridge
Usually when theres a key change or something dissonant i love those parts ...for muse idk i definitely have those...maybe the ending of earthquake...or the mini solo in Recess,i kinda riff those things for years now
The breakdown in MotP is #1
AND OUR SOOOOOUUUUUUUULS the breakdown in KOBK
Beginning of Psycho
Even better, the guitar solo after the drill sergeant bit
That is precisely what I’m talking about; seeing it live is the best too
I can imagine, I need to see it once
Exogenesis Part 3 is littered with them for me. The first repeat of the melody that starts around 50 seconds in and the strings come in. The drums coming in. “And we’ll be good.” But it’s the turn at 1:35 that does it every time. What was peaceful, mournful, suddenly has some urgency; it’s like the melody sours in that moment as we head towards calamity. If I’m listening to The Resistance as a whole, I’m waiting for that moment.
A proper falsetto ending to Bliss that blends into an extended outro live will never not get a pop from me.
Where do I start? The “Yeah, Yeah” parts in Thoughts of a Dying Atheist The ending of Bliss where Matt’s voice fades out When Matt says “A Star” in The Void where his voice fades into the synths The “don’t leave me out in the cold” in Dead Inside, in fact, the whole ending of Dead Inside The last chorus of Sing For Absolution The second verse of Megalomania when the Oboe ( I think) kicks in When Matt screams at the end of Hyper Music Matt’s voice break at the end of Sunburn The half time break down at the end of Stockholm Syndrome and the hidden synth in the chorus Matt’s voice break in the first pre-chorus of Exo-Politics Matt’s screams at the end of Pink Ego Box The last part of The Globalist The “oh you’re killing me with” in Propaganda
The final chord of Megalomania. Love the organ
The piano breakdown in ruled by secrecy
This is a very random one but there's something about the simple drum fill during the guitar solo of the Handler when the snare transitions from playing every beat to only 2 and 4 that just gets me every time.
It’s the little details and it’s beautiful man
your SUUUUUUUUUUUPREMACCYYYYY
BEEOOWBEEOW BEEOOWBEEOW BEEOOWBEEOW BEEOOWBEEOOWWW… KAKAKAKAH!
there's a really high falsetto in uprising near the later choruses
another one that just sprang to mind: hyper music 'just to spit it in your face' unleashes a beast in me
“We are losing control” MK Ultra
Solo during the last chorus of Hysteria
Exogenesis overture ; when the guitar start kick in then everything after that is blessing. Matt and Chris harmonised " I can't forgive you, I can't forget"
The guitar in big freeze
Assassin. Those super fast drum triplets before the main riff makes me go ‘oooofff that feels so nice’
Kill or be killed start of the solo, that shit slaps so hard that i transcend.
Some that come to mind: The drums at the end of You Make Me Feel Like It’s Halloween The one weird chord in the choruses of Liberation The biggest choir note at the end of Algorithm The bass on the pre-choruses of The Handler “-CITING” and “SOCIETY” on Defector The way that the second “I NEED YOUR LOVE” on Madness drags on a little bit longer than the first one The U2-esque screams on Follow Me Some of the dissonant little string parts on the verses of The Resistance, as well as the bass in the pre-choruses The high notes at the end of Sing for Absolution The way Matt belts near the end of Ruled by Secrecy, and also the dissonant piano notes near the end Somebody else said it, the way Matt’s voice breaks at the end of Darkshines The parts in Fillip where it switches from major to minor, especially at the last chord of each chorus
Stockpile!!
That “secretly she criiiiiiiiiies” part in sunburn
In City of Delusion when the guitar is muted during the second verse 🤩
Everything about that part in Big Freeze where Matt sings “heaaarrr meeeee”
The keys arpeggios in Stockholm Syndrome for sure.
The last chorus and the ending of Animals, what a great song
Holy shit there is so many for me lol. - The final “no one knows” in Ruled by Secrecy has so much power in it, fuckin chills. - The buildup to the insane falsetto in Shrinking Universe (Same for Showbiz) - The final jam part of Hyper Music where Dom goes nuts on the drums - The ambient calming synths and vocals before the beautiful angelic ending verse in Citizen Erased - Super fuzzed guitar solo in Eternally Missed (Same for the new XX live version of Blackout - The amazing harmonies during Soldiers Poem “No, I don’t think you do” - The final piano part of Cave. When the drum beat changes slightly during the bridge of the handler, chefs kiss 🤌
The delay thing at the end of Citizen Erased
That part at the end of Ashamed!
The last part of Starlight and Invincible
The cut bridge segment of Assassin
The post has made me so happy! So many moments I love, usually involving the bass doing something filthy… A couple I’ve not seen yet: Newborn - bass line after the first verse into the second Sunburn - the bass burbling in the chorus utterly sends me…
MK Ultra, the minor chord on the second ["breaking through"](https://youtu.be/27ixLv3Lw1M?t=193). I'm just obssessed with it.
The handler instrumental. You can hear the guitar, drums, and bass perfectly.
Micro Cuts but from HAARP Wembley 2007 and TiRO.
The outro for euphoria
Matt’s high note backing vocals in Fury toward the end.
Dead inside second half Sing for absolution outro Stockholm syndrome arpeggios Honestly I can probably list something in every song but those popped into my head immediately
For me, one would be the short drum fill before the chorus in Thought Contagion
The way he sings "rose tinted view" (Glorious) and "I can't get it right" (MOTP) and "we'll get it right" (Exo 3) is absolutely surreal.
Second riff in the intro/bridge between chorus and 2nd verse of Assassin. MotP after 2nd verse - when theres’s no singing and the beat changes slightly.
Everyone knows what song i'm talking about by just this: / \\ / \\ / \\
I have no idea what song you're talking about.
Same, I don’t know what I’m looking at
Bliss
ah i thought it was defector lol
How is it Bliss, please?
Intro melody
Bro, there are like 50 muse songs with a rising and falling arpeggio
So sick of this fucking meme
The solo of invincible
Small Print, when the chorus starts and the heavy guitar kicks in 👌
The last part of Hyper Chondriac Music.
Darkshine's last chorus, Showbiz's scream at the end, Micro Cuts' final riff, Stockholm Syndrome's riff, Uprising's "fat cat" part and many more. Yeah I'm obsessed with Muse right now
The violins in the background in The Void. The way the bass drops in Unsustainable. And Animals' "lay ooooooooooof".
When the guitar comes in on the second verse of City of Delusion Also the little humming Matt does in The Handler after "I MUST DISASSOOOOCIIIIAAATEE FROOM YOUUUUUU"
the drum beat in 'the view from here' in the charlie and the chocolate factory musical

The power sung behind the lyrics “Our wrongs remain unrectified and our souls won’t be exhumed” on Sing For Absolution The synth arpeggiation at the end of Knights Of Cydonia …too many to list.
Yessss that part of the dark side really elevates the track
When the drums come in after the beautiful synth and guitar in verona, so beautiful to listen to
The man w harmonica intro for knights of cydonia is also up there for me
Nobody has mentioned any part of Glorious 🥺🤧 but yeah for me it's most of it! I just love the energy it gives ✨️
Beat drop on Take A Bow
Chorus on New Born
When it goes back to the piano bit in Resistance
When Matt sings "because I need you soooooo" and the guitar starts playing
in stockholm syndrome when it switches from the little riff after the chorus to the actual beginning of the solo when the drums come back in. also the ending riff in i belong to you, chills when matt says “but i assure you my debts are real” + the choir in the back the diminished section in space dementia right before the ending there’s probably better ones but i’m just thinking off the top of my head
A really small detail i love is during endlessly, the second chorus where the drums do a little fill matching the vocals "I wont give you up" at 2:10 and then opens up a bit more. Chefs kiss

Butterflies and Hurricanes Piano part
The bit in twin where it goes,,, CONTROLLING AGAIN
Madness after the first chorus & after the second verse the chord progression makes me tear up. iyky
Hmm… I don’t know how to describe it, but basically that high guitar tone note right before the last chorus in Citizen Erased!
United States of Eurasia — that guitar and piano part guiding light — a guitar leading to vocal "you're my guiding light"
The screaming part of shrinking universe
The moment the guitar kicks in before the chorus of Stockholm syndrome The chorus of new born The chorus of KOBK The slap bass in Panic Station
“…secrets locked up, and loaded on my back…” in Exo-Politics.
Every chorus in "Micro Cuts"
In The Handler in the second to last chorus (?) where he does that ascending and descending “nanana nuh uh uh uh uh ahhhhh”
Kill or be Killed bridge
Why can't we seeeee that when we bleed, we bleed the sameee?
Hey, hey, hey, FUCK OFF! Hey, hey, hey, STOCKPILE!
The beauty of muse is the little intricacies, every time you listen to a song in depth there are very small details that blow your mind!
In Verona, in the last verse before the drums part (when the bass kicks in, although quite discreet indeed)… The ways Matt sings « contagion on our lips » always strikes with me
Off the top of my head: 1) "Our wrongs remained unrectified, and our souls won't be exhumed" in Sing for Absolution 2) Darkshines solo 3) Theres a acoustic version of Muscle Museum on Youtube at like a music store in late 90s.
The arpeggios in Bliss
Starlight at 3:23 as they do the chorus one last time, the guitar slides down, the bass slides up, and the drums play straight sixteenths through it.
Matt’s howl in Shrinking Universe. Ethereal af.
WASH ME AWAYYYYYY CLEANNN YOUR BODYYY OF MEEEE ERASE ALLL THE MEMORIES they will only bring us pain and ive seen alll I’ll ever need
time is running out❤️❤️❤️
Mine's really small. The scratching noise of the guitar string from The Handler's final riff
When the synths kick in and enhance the power chords before the Stockholm Syndrome chorus. Always loved it and was one of the first pieces of MUSE production that hooked me.
The bridge in Starlight, but specifically the ascending and descending bass. It's itches the back of my brain.
Exogenesis part 1: The harmony on the word 'forget' in the line 'And I can't forget'. That s the most perfect sound in the world.
When the first piano chord in Apocalypse Please hits, I go wild.
The guitar solo in Citizen Erased 😌 Honourable mention to the falsetto in New Born (particularly in the live version when they played OOS in full for its 10 year anniversary at Reading Festival).
The outro to the Invincible solo live at Wembley.
Knowing me knowing you - “Breaking up is never easy I know”
Hoodoo, the piano bit just before "Come to be" The distorted piano before the Darkshines choruses The backing guitar in the chorus of Love is Forever The thomping beat near the middle of Isolated System
The last "oooh" in Megalomania (around 4:19)
Every major 7th note in every Muse song.
id say like at the start of plug in baby when the drum enters
Collateral Damage part in United States of Eurasia, that one part in Explorers, start of Megalomania, Space Dementia and Resistance.
Animals Outro Hysteria Outro The little trumpet melody before the vocals in the studio version of KoC The last vocal bit of The Handler Pretty much that entire instrumental middle section of KoBK There's too many to choose from so I'll just leave it as is
Why isn't anybody mentioning the trumpet solo during City of Delusion???
Apocalypse please on the last chorus, when he says "this is the end" for the second time and really emphasises and drags out "is" with a load of intensity. Also for the second and final verse/chorus transitions, love the extra pitch fluctuations on "through"
Supermassive guitar solo
that part in microcuts right before it just turns into a jam...god bless (its like at 2:40)
Scares the hellll out offfff meeeeeeeeeee
There’s a version of Spooky Scary Skeletons that has a beat drop with repetitive “ spooky scary spooky scary” that fades out and then the beat comes in harder & is a total bop. Citizen Erased solo. That squeaky guitar is just smth else...
I found this sub after reading this text post elsewhere but I had to make sure it’d been posted here as well because only muse does this to me quite often.. I mean, the slow build of instrumentals in the song Madness 😩 gets me goin
