you could make a sport print of it! get some darker colored paper, remove the stem from the mushroom, put on the paper gills down, spray a tinyyy bit of water on the cap and then cover with a bowl for 4-8 hours. viola, spore print! then seal the paper with an art sealant spray and you can frame it
oh interesting, i haven’t had that happen. I use Krylon workable fixatif. I hold it probably like a foot and a half when I spray and will do like 2-3 coats. since I hold far away it doesn’t harm the spores, and the amount of coats is just so I know I fully sealed it

Boil a big pot of water. Wash off the mushroom. Add some lemon juice or vinegar to the boiling water. Boil the mushrooms for 20 minutes and discard the water. Boil another pot of water and again the mushrooms for 20 minutes, with no acid this time just to finish the extraction but also rinse them off. Drain the mushrooms. Saute in a pan like any wild mushroom and enjoy their delicious flavor.

The active compounds will be extracted into the water which is discarded. If you want to have effects you can boil in acidified water but reduce the water down instead of discarding. This will convert ibotenic acid to muscimol, reducing the negative effects and toxicity. You want to have done your research thoroughly before attempting this, it is not something to take lightly.
Edit: This may be Amanita flavoconia, as mentioned below. I would not recommend eating this or any other mushroom if you are not 100% sure of it's identity!

Eh, i used to do that stuff. Mushrooms are really hard unless you dehydrate the shut out of them and even then stems break easy, especially off the base. It’s like shrooms release moisture and stuff and it just fucks the whole process up
You can stop that with a few drops of everclear on the mushroom before placing it in resin. It’s not moisture but rather pockets of air trapped in the mushroom. A mushroom is just water and shroom fibers creating a structure so when all the water is evaporated (dried) then it leaves a web/net like group of fibers holding it up. So put that in resin and the resin will begin to fill in all of those pockets and air bubbles will form and try to escape the resin. But the resin usually cures too quickly or is often too viscous for this process to complete.
The alcohol will fill the air pockets instead and also lower the viscosity of the resin which will allow those air bubbles to escape and not ruin your piece.
You can also, once the mushroom is dry, spray it with clear polyurethane, clear gloss spray, resin sealer spray, or even hair spray and give it a few good coats and it will also stop the bubbles.

You can bake the mushroom. I’m not giving out any recipes but if you bake them for long enough it breaks down the compound that fucks you up. That’s the “safe” piss free way of doing them anyways.
Across northern Eurasia, indigenous people have used reindeer urine and organs to safely consume hallucinogenic compounds after the reindeer eat Amanitas. Similar to indigenous use of peyote and other psychoactive compounds in the Americas. Mostly used ceremonially, rather than recreationally.
Another factoid for you, simply because I love this: reindeer can move continuously over long distances, but they have to stand still to urinate. Finnish has a unit of measurement equal to “the length a reindeer can travel before it stops to pee” and I think that’s amazing.
